Glimpse of Katihar Medical College
Placements: I am in the 34th batch of MBBS in Katihar Medical College and Hospital. There are a total of 150 students in my class. The average package offered at my college is 2400000. There are a total of 500 students in the boys’ UG hostel and 400 girls in the UG hostel.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Katihar medical college and hospital is good. It has a lush green 55-acre campus in Katihar. There is a college canteen available, and also hostel facilities are provided by the college separately for girls and boys and UG and PG.
Faculty: The course is a little tough for students to cope with, but they can handle the stress. But students have sports to play along with and also gym facilities available at our Katihar medical college and hospital. A total of 2 semester exams every year, 1 pre-university exam, and 1 final professional exam.
Other: Katihar Medical College and Hospital has different fests, etc., in the college. Cocurricular activities are also very good. Sports and gym facilities are also provided.

Teachers are good and Lot of things to learn .
Placements: My batch is 29th batch of my college. MBBS course. About 70 percent of students were placed in my course. About 90 percent of students got internship from my course. Surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine are the top roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is good. Facilities provided are up to the mark. There is no any Wi-Fi facilities. There is no air conditioning system in classrooms. Hostel rooms are congested. Water supply in the hostel in very bad. Food in the mess is excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also very good. Teachers do not give any attention to students in their ward duties. But there is no any coordination between management and teachers. My course curriculum is not relevant. Students have to make their own efforts.

Satisfied by quality education.
Placements: After this course, no one is sitting without a job. The highest package is 100,000 p.a., the lowest is 50,000 p.a., and the average is 90,000 p.a. You have to complete an internship from the same college to get your degree. Top roles include medical officer, junior resident, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are decent, but not overwhelming. The central library provides all essential materials for your course; other books are not available here. The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, but you won't get the passwords. The hostel is decent with average mess food and menu.
Faculty: The faculty are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, though strict. Teaching quality is decent. The semester exams are difficult if you study only during exams, but if you are consistent, you will score good marks and sometimes even get honors.

Wonderful for academic for MBBS with worth the fees. But at the same time below average campus life.
Placements: We are given emphasis on developing clinical skills since day one and ultimately till internship we develop a clinical sense that help us to dwell outside as a good clinicians. We are given special impact for attending ward posting regularly and punctually.
Infrastructure: College building are gigantic with huge OPD and hospital. Hospital is well-equipped with medical equipment. Canteen is of standard quality with excellent food. Classes and lecture theatre have comfortable seats. The auditorium is magnificent with 3D art of design.
Faculty: Faculty are highly learned. Most of them are alumni of famous medical colleges like AMU PMCH. DMCH Kolkata medical college. Etc. They have great synchronisation of effective teaching and combining the teaching with practicing as a clinician thus making the best out of students.

Katihar Medical College Honest Review.
Placements: Almost all students get placed because of the nature of the job of medical professionals. Internship stipend is 10,000 after completion of 4.5 years of course study. After that, students generally sit for the postgraduate exams for further specialization in the course or work simultaneously.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and well maintained. There is an air-conditioned lecture theatre, well-equipped labs, a canteen, and a library. The library has an amazing collection of medical books. There are three hostels for girls located on the campus. Rooms are air-conditioned with a table, chair, and cupboard. There is an attached bathroom in every room. Wi-Fi is available in all hostels. Boys hostel facilities are the same. It is located outside the college campus. Mess serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and tea and biscuits in the evening.
Faculty: The teachers are well experienced and learned. A warm atmosphere is provided for learning so that students feel free to discuss. The course curriculum is vast but well organized for the duration of study. There are frequent exams to keep us in a state of constant practice and learning.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to give back to society and make people smile. I wish the selfishness due to the rat race of competition in this field could somehow be morphed into something positive.
