Q:   Can I get direct admission in KIET for BTech?

A: 

KIET, Ghaziabad BTech admissions are entrance-based. The admission on 85% of the total seats are for students who qualify the JEE Main entrance exam. For the remaining 15% seats, candidates are given option of getting admission via Management quota seats (direct admission) for its BTech programme. These management quota seats are filled at the institute level based on the merit scores obtained by students in Class 12 with PCM followed by a written test and personal interview. Additionally, the final seats are allocated through UPTAC Counselling process.

Placements: The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at KIET Group of Institutions has a commendable placements record. Graduates are recruited by leading companies like NVIDIA Graphic, Amazon, Cisco, Wipro, Talent Next, Yantra Byte, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, TCS, etc. The highest salary package offered to ECE students is 60 LPA. The average package is 5.11 LPA. The top roles offered to ECE students are software engineer, data analyst, business analyst, etc. The corporate relations and placement center (CRPC) at KIET plays a vital role in guiding students toward achieving their career goals and being well-prepared for industry demands.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities at KIET for the ECE branch are decent, offering clean rooms and basic amenities. The mess provides average-quality food with limited variety. The canteen offers better options. Medical facilities are available on campus. Sports facilities are well-maintained.

Best college with the best ROI in UP other than IITs and NITs.
Placements: Placements at KIET are good. Top recruiting companies are Walmart, Cisco, Flipkart, Amazon, Wipro, Cognizant, Ericsson, TCS, etc. Top roles are software engineer, developer, sales, etc. Almost everyone gets a decent package of around 8.5 LPA. It is the average package here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good here. You don't even need to think of that. All the time Wi-Fi network is available. We have smart boards and ACs in classrooms. There is an auditorium for activities and small events. There are many sports facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very good and knowledgeable. You will get plenty of guidance from them. You just need to work on yourselves. There are a few exceptions which you need to deal with. Rest, I would tell is fantastic. You can just relax here. The course curriculum is good and industry-oriented. Teachers are supportive and good.
Other: There should be more number of fests and events.

Overall, the college is good but you have to work on your own skills.
Placements: Almost 70% of students were placed last year. The average package is 4-5 Lacs per annum, the highest is 40 Lacs, and the lowest is 2-3 Lacs. Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Tata, HCL, etc. are the major companies for recruitment. 80% of students got internships, whether paid or unpaid. Software engineer, web developer, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Labs, libraries, and classrooms are the best classrooms. They are fully AC and labs have proper chemicals and tools and experiments are done perfectly. The hostel is also the best. Sports, games, medical facilities, etc. are all available. The canteen is good and some food items are special .
Faculty: Teachers are good, helpful, and have proper knowledge of their subjects, including practicals. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and also helpful for industrial work and practical knowledge is given to students. The pass rate is 7-8 sgpa, which is good but we need to maintain in every semester without back in any subject .

Placements: The IT branch has an excellent track record in placements. Top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and Cognizant frequently visit the campus. Many students secure internships and full-time roles in product-based companies, with competitive packages. The placement cell provides adequate support in terms of mock interviews, aptitude training, and resume building.
Infrastructure: The IT department features well-maintained labs with high-speed internet and the latest software tools for programming, database management, and other IT-related activities. However, periodic upgrades in hardware could enhance the overall learning experience. The central library has a dedicated section for IT-related books, E-resources, journals, and research papers. We have fully equipped seminar halls for workshops, guest lectures, and technical events. The campus provides good Wi-Fi connectivity, although there might be occasional issues with speed during speaking. High-speed internet is there in all hostel areas. We have adequate water for drinking, bathing, and cleaning CCTV surveillance, guards, and biometric entry.
Faculty: Professors, associate professors, and assistant professors have PhDs or advanced degrees in their fields. They are industry and academic experts for effective teaching and mentoring. For support, we have lab assistants, teaching assistants, and academic coordinators. Faculty involved in research, publications, and projects. Regular mentoring, counselling, and guidance are provided for career development. Comprehensive exams are held at the end of each semester for theory and practical. They are based on cumulative marks from internal and external assessments like CGPA or percentage. We have final year projects with presentations and viva for skill demonstration. Placements: The college placement record is below average. The number of companies visiting campus is limited. The average salary offered is lower than other colleges in the region. The placement cell does not provide adequate support to students in their job search.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course and hostel is average. Classrooms are clean and well-maintained. But the equipment is outdated and the hostel rooms are comfortable. The common areas are not well-maintained. The food is average but the variety is limited. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Faculty: The course curriculum and exams are both challenging and rewarding. The curriculum is well-designed and covers a wide range of topics. Exams are fair and assess my understanding of the materials. I learned a lot from this course and would recommend it to others.
Other: I chose this course because it was the best option left for me. If the placements of the course get better then it would be a great course. Events and campus crowd are average and it could be improved a bit.
