December 23, 2024: Department of Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions organized 4th International Conference ICSCMM-24 on Soft Computing and Mathematical Modelling (ICSCMM-24 and National Mathematics Day-2024 on the occasion of birth anniversary of great Indian Mathematician Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan. This conference was organized in collaboration with ISTE Faculty and Student Chapter.

The Convener of ICSCMM-24, Dr C.M. Batra quantified that approximately 150+ research papers were presented in this conference from different areas of interest and countries like wise Spain, Malaysia, Ethiopia, US, Nepal etc. The objective of the conference is to bring thrust in the young minds to explore the Soft computing with AI and ML and develop the models to eradicate the problems faced in today’s society using these advanced techniques.

Nearly 50+ Mathematical models and poster were presented from students of various Schools of Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Meerut and Delhi who have actively taken participation on National Mathematics Day in KIET Group of Institutions.

Overall, it was very informative and the young researchers from different areas of soft computing and mathematical modelling were keen to understand the recent trend in this field and these invited session helped them a lot.

KIET Organizes Valedictory Ceremony of the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon Hardware Edition

December 17, 2024: KIET Group of Institutions, the official nodal center for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) Hardware Edition 2024, hosted a grand valedictory ceremony to mark the culmination of this prestigious event. The ceremony was a fitting conclusion to the innovative and competitive spirit demonstrated by participants over the past few days. Sh. Sarish Agarwal, the Chief Guest encouraged the participants to continue their journey as problem-solvers for the nation. The address underscored the importance of platforms like SIH in nurturing innovation and building a self-reliant India.

Dr. Preeti Bajaj, the Director General of KIET Group of Institutions, presented a detailed report on the event. She shared, “Throughout the 5-day hackathon, I have witnessed an incredible display of teamwork, innovation, and resilience. The energy and enthusiasm shown by the participants have been truly inspiring. Your commitment to addressing critical problem statements shared by the Ministry of Power is a testament to the potential of our youth in driving positive change. A special thank you to the mentors and judges for their guidance to the participants.”

The winning teams for each problem statement were awarded with trophies and a prize amount of Rs. 1 Lakh. The mentors, nodal centre heads appointed by MoE’s Innovation Cell - Mr. Vikas Verma and Mr. Mohd. Mustkeem and the jury members – Sh. Shiva Suman and Sh. RP Pradhan were felicitated with mementos as a gesture of gratitude for their invaluable contribution in SIH 2024 at KIET. Sh. RP Pradhan, Chief Engineer, CEA, Ministry of Power shared, “Back in the days, no practical learning exposure was provided to the students. However, I was impressed to see the centres of excellence at KIET that are established in collaboration with Ministry of skill development, Mercedes Benz and other organizations. Students here, are getting the right exposure to work on engines, bikes, robotics technology, which is indeed a great way to build their future.”

KIET to Announce the Winners of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware Edition) on 15th December 2024

December 17, 2024: The 7th edition of the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware edition) is going to be concluded officially at KIET Group of Institutions on 15th December 2024. The institute was recognized as the official nodal center in Ghaziabad to facilitate the 5-day event on campus. Aligned with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for youth-led development, this event is a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The institute is hosting 34 mentors and 306 participants from 11 states and 2 union territories who are working day-and-night on 6 problem statements shared by the Ministry of Power on two themes, viz. Renewable / Sustainable Energy and Clean & Green Technology.

As per the nodal centre head, Sh. Vikas Verma (Managing Editor with Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell), Over the years, 14 lakh students have participated in SIH and more than 2 lakh teams have come together and worked on ideas. We have created more than 100 startups through Smart India Hackathons and the total valuation of those startups has been 15000 crore.” 

This shows that the participating teams in the grand finale of SIH (Hrdware edition) have strong possibilities of attracting entrepreneurship opportunities and contribute towards Viksit Bharat. It would be exciting to see which solution bags the winning title during the valedictory ceremony.

The ceremony was a fitting conclusion to the innovative and competitive spirit demonstrated by participants over the past few days.

The ceremony further featured experience sharing by participants, mentors and jury members, who enthusiastically narrated their journey during the hackathon. The most awaited moment of the evening, the Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrated the exceptional accomplishments of the winning teams.

The winning teams for each problem statement were awarded with souvenirs from the institute and a prize amount of Rs. 1 Lakh.

KIET Hosts SIH 2024, Fostering Innovation in Energy Storage and Hair Waste Management

December 16, 2024: KIET Group of Institutions is hosting the 7th edition of the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024, Hardware Edition, as the official nodal center in Ghaziabad. This hackathon brought together teams from 11 states and 2 union territories to work on six critical problem statements provided by the Ministry of Power. These challenges are aimed at fostering innovation and finding practical, technology-driven solutions to some of the pressing issues in the energy sector.

One standout team, TECH TITAN 5, is addressing a problem statement related to Renewable/Sustainable Energy. Their task is to design an innovative and efficient energy storage system (ESS) to integrate intermittent renewable energy sources and stabilize the grid. This requires addressing several key challenges, such as high costs, technological limitations, and regulatory barriers. Similarly a team name 'TARANG' is working on the theme ‘Clean & Green Technology’, wherein they are creating an innovative solution to transform hair waste into a sustainable liquid fertilizer, enriched with nutrients essential for plant growth.

Over the course of the hackathon, teams will brainstorm, prototype, and present their innovative solutions, mentored by industry experts and faculty members. The event also provides a unique opportunity for knowledge sharing and cross-cultural interaction among participants from diverse regions of India. The hackathon will culminate in a grand showcase of prototypes and solutions, with awards presented to the most promising ideas. 

KIET Inaugurates the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon Hardware Edition

December 12, 2024: KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad inaugurated the 7th edition of the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware edition) on campus as the official nodal center in Ghaziabad. This is a 5-day event - 11th to 15th December 2024 - that is aligned with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for youth-led development. It aims to provide students a platform to solve the pressing problems of the government, ministries, departments, industries and other organizations.This nationwide initiative is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, SBI Foundation, and i4c

Shri Atul Garg Ji (Chairman-Governing Council KIET and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha), the Chief Guest, said, “I feel really proud to see all the talented participants that have the potential to revolutionize industries and contribute to the growth of our nation. You are the driving force behind a self-reliant and technologically advanced India. This hackathon is not about winning or losing; it is about learning, experimenting, and creating solutions that help us attain the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.” The Managing Editor with Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, Sh. Vikas Verma, is appointed as the nodal centre head at KIET. Addressing and praising the participants of SIH, he shared “Over the years, 14 lakh students have participated in SIH and more than 2 lakh teams have come together and worked on ideas. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Minister of Education officially declared the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2024 to be open for all. While addressing the participants virtually, he said, “I believe the idea and its germination throughout the 7 editions of Smart India Hackathons is capable of deriving solutions not just for today, but for the upcoming centuries as well. This is not just a regular event; it is a 24x7, 365 days ritual that showcases the innovative approach of youth. At present, India is the 5th largest economy, and I believe under the leadership of the youth, it will soon be the 3rd largest economy and the biggest growth model and engineer in the world, specifically, global south, by 2047.” This concluded the central inauguration, following which, the participants were provided with necessary guidelines and instructions to begin with solving their problem statements. The participants then gathered in the afternoon to attend the PM’s address via video conferencing.

 KIET To Host the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon Hardware Edition

December 11, 2024: KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad is all set to host the 7th edition of the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware edition) from 11th to 15th December 2024, as the official nodal center in Ghaziabad. Aligned with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for youth-led development, this event is his brain child and a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.The objective of this event is to provide students a platform to solve the pressing problems of the government, ministries, departments, industries and other organizations. It is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, SBI Foundation, and i4c. Godrej Appliances is the Official Partner, Tata Consultancy Services is the Evaluation Partner, Tutorials Point is the Learning Partner, Hack2Skill is the Platform Partner and Doordarshan and All India Radio are the Official Media Partners for this mega event.

Addressing the upcoming event at KIET, the institute’s Director General, Dr. Preeti Bajaj shared, “We are privileged and honored to be one of the nodal centres for SIH, this year as well. In SIH 2022, we had 15 teams at our campus and this year, we’ll be hosting 46 teams from different regions across the nation. We have ensured that throughout their 5-day stay at the campus, they will be provided with all the necessary facilities that are required to create an innovative solution to their respective problem statements. Also, to make them feel at-home and stress-free, we have cultural performances, Zumba and yoga sessions in place for them. We wish the best to all the participants and are truly excited to watch these young minds invent an innovative prototype/ solution that promotes youth-led development - the vision of Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji.”

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Minister of Education and member of the organizing committee of SIH 2024, will be inaugurating the event on 11th December, virtually, at the central level. Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi shall be addressing the talented participants virtually during the first day of the event. All-in-all, this event is set to bring some amazing and innovative solutions that contribute towards Viksit Bharat. Also, being the biggest open innovation model in the world, it will help the students imbibe the culture of problem-solving and product innovation.

KIET Group of Institutions Organised Dr. Abdul Kalam Inter Literary, Management & Technical Fest, 2024 

December 3, 2024: The KIET Group of Institutions successfully hosted the Dr. Abdul Kalam Inter Literary, Management, and Technical Fest, 2024 on its campus on November 27th and 28th. The event was recognised as the official Zonal Level Centre for the festival in Ghaziabad, and it was attended by 149 students from 12 AKTU affiliated institutes in the Ghaziabad zone. During this 2-day fest, the students from different colleges participated in 13 events, viz.?Robo Race, Robo Wars,?Robo Sumo Challenge, Drone Flying Challenge, Junkyard War, Turbo AI Challenge, Business Plan Challenge, Ad Mad (Advertisement Making Competition),?INNO Quest, INNO Showcase, Best Shot on the Spot, English & Hindi Debate, and Declamation.             

The event began with AKTU Kulgeet and lamp lighting ceremony in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Anurag Kumar (Scientist D and Joint Director, Innovation & IPR Division, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India), University Observer, Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma (Associate Dean-Student Welfare, AKTU)  and dignitaries from the institute, including Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Anil Ahlawat, Director Academics, and Dr. Anurag Gupta, Fest coordinator and Dean Student Welfare. This was followed by the welcome and felicitation of guests with oxy plants and mementos from the institute. 

Mr. Anurag Kumar said, “Events like these help the youth of the nation to present new and innovative ideas that can help us in curbing societal problems and achieve sustainable growth. India is the 3 rd largest startup economy today, with 67% of active startups from Delhi—NCR region. This shows that the startup economy is growing and the foundation of it is innovation.” He further shared that KIET is one of the implementing centre of Genesis scheme (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) that is a recent initiative of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.   
 
KIET Group of Institutions organizes the annual inter-institute technical fest "INNOTECH 2024”

December 2, 2024: On Saturday, 30th November 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, organized the eleventh edition of its annual technical fest Innotech on the theme 'Sustainable Solutions for Viksit Bharat'. Nearly 150+ projects were registered for the event, which included teams from KIET and different schools, viz. Sanatan Dharm Public School, Pitampura, DAV Multipurpose School Sonipat, Parevartan School, Kasturi Ram International School, Delhi, and Surevin International School. Students from Bhagwan Parshuram Modern School, Vidhan Public School, and Purngyananjali International School visited the institute as the audience.

The event began with the ribbon cutting ceremony by Chief Guest, Dr. U.B Desai (Founding Director, IIT Hyderabad), in the presence of Dr. Deepak Mathur (IEEE Vice President – Member Geographic Activities), Dr Alok Rai (Vice-chancellor, University of Lucknow), Mr. Rohan Khanna (Vice President, Reliance Jio), and honorable members of KIET’s management, viz. Shri Atul Garg ji (Vice Chairman-KIET and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha) Shri Sunil P Gupta ji (General Secretary-KIET), Shri Sarish Agarwal ji, Shri G D Jain Ji (Treasurer-KIET), Shri A.N. Gupta Ji, Shri Rakesh Goel Ji. Chief Guest, Dr. U.B Desai expressed his heartfelt congratulations to KIET for nurturing an environment where creativity and technical prowess thrive. He encouraged the participants to continue dreaming big, thinking boldly, and working tirelessly towards their goals.

In the school category, projects titled ‘Thinksphere: An AI for smart learning at every child pace’ from DAV Multipurpose School Sonipat and ‘Trash to Cash’ from Kasturi Ram International School, Delhi achieved first and second prize respectively. All the winning teams were felicitated with cash prize and mementos from the institute. Dr. Preeti Bajaj congratulated the winners and wished them all the best for their future endeavours. She shared, “Innovation is not just about building something new; it is about making a positive change in the world. Let Innotech 2024 be a stepping stone for all of you to pursue your passions and contribute to the betterment of society.” She further appreciated the Convenor of Innotech 2024 - Dr. Vineet Sharma, program coordinators – Dr. Madhu Gautam, Dr. Gaurav Parashar and the entire team of CSE department for managing and coordinating the event successfully.

KIET Inaugurates Dr. Abdul Kalam Inter Literary, Management & Technical Fest on Campus

November 28, 2024: On 27th November 2024, KIET Group of Institutions hosted the inaugural of Dr. Abdul Kalam Inter Literary, Management &Technical Fest, 2024 at its campus as the official Zonal Level Centre for the fest in Ghaziabad. This event received participation from 149 students of 12 AKTU affiliated institutes of Ghaziabad Zone.

During this 2-day fest, the students from different colleges will be participating in 13 events, viz. Robo Race, Robo Wars, Robo Sumo Challenge, Drone Flying Challenge, Junkyard War, Turbo AI Challenge, Business Plan Challenge, Ad Mad (Advertisement Making Competition), INNO Quest, INNO Showcase, Best Shot on the Spot, English & Hindi Debate, and Declamation.    

Reflecting on the theme, "Innovate, Inspire, and Integrate: Shaping a Sustainable Future," Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General-KIET highlighted its relevance in today's world. She thanked AKTU for recognizing KIET as the Zonal Level Centre in Ghaziabad district. She also shared, “I would like to appreciate all the participants for participating in this fest, as it is an opportunity for you to learn team building, time management skills that cannot be imbibed in a classroom setting. This event will help you to challenge your own skills and encourage the spirit of innovation among all.” he inaugural ceremony came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pratibha Kumari, Associate Dean Student Welfare and Fest co-coordinator. Mr. Saurav Kumar, general Manager, TBI-KIET along with all the deans, faculty and student coordinators were present at the inaugural ceremony.

KIET Organized 24-Hour IEEE SSH 2024 Hackathon Phase 2 on Campus

October 25, 2024: KIET Group of institutions, successfully organized the Hackathon Phase 2 of IEEE Sustainable Solutions for Humanity 2024 on 21st & 22nd October 2024. This 24-hour hackathon was a collaborative initiative by IEEE Region 10 and IEEE India Council to provide a prestigious platform for tech-savvy students across the sections of Asia and the Pacific.

The hackathon concluded with the valedictory ceremony on 22nd October, wherein Mr. Praveen Roy, (Head TTI/ Scientist ‘G’, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India) was invited as the Chief Guest. He shared, “DST has been supporting startups and innovators since more than 2 decades now. In this era, government and institutes numerous opportunities for funding and startups, therefore, this is the right time to be an entrepreneur. During this hackathon, you might have learned about team building, problem solving and a targeted approach. Therefore, from now on, your approach must be finding innovative solutions to whatever you come across.”

There were 5 different categories, viz. Best Solution, Best Coding, Best Design, Best Innovation and Overall Winner, under which, the winners were announced. Team MirazeX from Trident Academy of Technology, Odisha bagged award under Overall Winning, Best Coding, and Best Solution categories for Green Energy track/problem statement. Team Zen from INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE (IISC), Bangalore Karnataka bagged award under Best Innovation and Best Coding categories for AR/VR track/problem statement. Team Suryamukhi from KIET Group of Institutions, Uttar Pradesh bagged award under Best Design category for Green Energy track/problem statement.

KIET Organizes 24-hour NASA Space Apps Challenge, Ghaziabad, 2024

October 9, 2024: KIET Group of Institutions, in collaboration with NASA Space Apps organized the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 on its campus. The event marked the beginning of an exciting 24-hour hackathon where around 24 teams (approximately 100 students) from various renowned universities and institutes of Delhi-NCR participated to solve real-world space-related challenges using NASA's open data.

The inaugural ceremony began with lamp lighting in the gracious presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Dayanand Sharma, Program Director of iDEX-DIO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India/ The esteemed guests were welcomed by presenting Oxyplants as a symbol of a greener future, gratitude, and prosperity.

During her address, the Director General of the institute, Prof. (Dr) Preeti Bajaj emphasized the importance of the hackathon and how team spirit and working together towards one problem can give us great solutions to big challenges. She stated, “The NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 is set to be an extraordinary event, fostering collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving among young minds, with the potential to make significant contributions to the field of space science. The problems given today, and the solutions received tomorrow would be beneficial for our future generations as they might resolve critical problems”. She also added a note of appreciation to the organizing team for meticulously handling the nitty-gritty of the event.

Following the formal welcome by the Local Lead of NASA Space Apps Challenge, participants were briefed on the structure and objectives of the hackathon. Dean-CS Dr Ajay Kumar Shrivastava welcomed all the participants and said that NASA's Space Apps Challenge is about more than winning; it's about learning and creating. It's a chance to explore new ideas, gain invaluable experience, and build projects that can impact global communities.

The winning teams, viz. winners (Code Crackers), first runner-up (Space Hackers), and second runner-up (Page not found) were felicitated with a cash prize and memento from the institute. These teams would now get a chance to exhibit their innovation & skills at the National level.

The  ceremony  served  as  a  perfect  conclusion  to  an  event  that  fostered  creativity,  collaboration, and  scientific  curiosity. Ms. Shivani (Faculty Coordinator, Kinesis Technical Society), Dr. Raj Kumar, Additional Head of Computer Science and Dr. Harsh Khatter, Associate Professor, Dept of Computer Science contributed to the success of the event.

 

KIET Organized 5th Edition of CII – Majestic Skill Will-Lead Initiative

October 9, 2024: On 8th October 2024, KIET Group of Institutions, in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Majestic Auto hosted the 5th Edition of ‘Skill Will-Lead’ initiative on campus. This program, which is known to be one of Emirates Technology's CSR endeavors, was organized by the institute’s Mechanical Engineering Department and KIET School of Management. The prime motive of this event is to promote skills through Inter College Engagement and bridge the gap between industry and academia for the students. 

It gathered industry leaders, experts, enthusiasts and students from different colleges to engage in insightful discussions, share knowledge, and explore the latest advancements in the different domains of management and research. 

The jury members consisted of renowned people from industry, viz. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh, Sr. General Manager-Operations, Ambica Steels Ltd., Mr. Neeraj Kumar, Head of Projects & Service Metaflex Doors India Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Satvir Singh Senior Manager, Operations & Systems, M/s Advance Valves Group, Sh. Siddharth Goyal Managing Director of Ratan Industries Limited, Sh. Y. K. Gupta Sr. Consultant (HR & Legal), Ms. Kalpana Singh Head of Marketing & Communications ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. Their unwavering support, expertise, and mentorship significantly shaped the outcome, elevating it to new heights of accomplishment. 

During his address, the Chief Guest, Shri Mahesh Munjal shared about the importance of skill enhancement in competing with the global markets. He said that Skills and knowledge development are the driving forces behind the financial growth and community development of any country. Skill building is a powerful tool to empower individuals and improve their social acceptance. It must be complemented by economic growth and employment opportunities to meet the rising aspirations of youth.

Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General of the institute motivated the students to follow and be passionate about an ‘idea’ that drives them towards innovation, success, and growth. She said that in the next 30 years, AI will be very dominant in all areas of industry. Therefore, it is very important for students to hone their skills, so that they make good use of AI, rather than losing their jobs to AI. She also motivated the students to find ideas for startups and entrepreneurship. She said, “Your campus should be your first customer. Try to look for problems; every problem has a solution and those solutions will give birth to startups.” “Students' efforts during their four years of graduation should be so profound and impactful that they equate to 40 years of future learning, preparing them for continuous growth and development throughout their lives.", she added further. 

In this programme, mechanical engineering and management students from various colleges and universities, including KIET Group of Institutions had participated.

In the mechanical engineering section, team from G.L. Bajaj Group of Institutions secured the first position, KIET Group of Institutions team bagged the second position and ABES team ranked at the third position. 

In the management section, team from IILM secured the first position, KIET Group of Institutions team bagged the second position and Sharda University team ranked at the third position. 

Faculty coordinators from the Department of ME and KSOM, including Dr. Ajay Verma (Associate Professor & Addl. HOD, ME) and Dr. Arunima Mishra (Assistant Professor, KSOM), contributed to the success of the event. 

KIET's MEDHA 2024 Hackathon Sparks Medical Device Innovation

September 25, 2024: The KIET Group of Institutions recently concluded its Medical Devices Hackathon, MEDHA 2024, fostering collaboration and innovation in healthcare technology. The two-day event, held on September 23-24, 2024, at the BETIC - KIET campus in Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, brought together aspiring engineers, medical professionals, and industry experts to tackle pressing challenges in the medical device field. Nearly 150 participants collectively from 12 institutions, including KIET Group of Institutions, DIT University Dehradun, MIET, Meerut, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Noida, and ITS Muradnagar among various others participated in the hackathon.

Winners bagged the prizes under four categories, viz. Best Commercial Project (awarded to problem statements ‘Smart Wearable devices for anxiety detection during dental procedures’ and ‘Device to prevent bed sores in patients with prolonged bed stays’), Best Design (awarded to problem statements ‘Non-medicinal approach to reduce high-grade fever in infections’ and ‘Real-time sleep apnea monitoring with feedback to interrupt episodes’), Best Innovation (awarded to problem statement ‘Portable physiotherapy device to prevent caregiver back pain during sessions’) and Best Prototype (awarded to problem statements ‘Solution to protect respiratory tract from bacterial and viral infections’, ‘Portable solar-powered device for sterilizing medical equipment’, and ‘Compact, low-cost imaging devices for real time diagnostics in remote areas’). They were given the opportunity to participate in IIT Bombay Medical Device Hackathon (MEDHA 2024) Stage 2.

Shri Sarish Agarwal Ji (Chairman KIET), Shri Atul Garg Ji (Member of Parliament and Vice Chairman, KIET), Shri Sunil P Gupta Ji (General Secretary KIET), along with the Chief Guest felicitated the winners. KIET Group of Institutions Excels at AKTU’s 22nd Convocation Ceremony, Securing 23 Top Ranks and the Kamal Rani Varun Award for the 2023-24 Academic Year

August 21, 2024: The 22nd convocation ceremony of AKTU was held with 23 students from KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad being honored and congratulated as the top university rank holders. This was done by Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon'ble Governor, and Shri Ashish Patel, Hon'ble Minister of Technical Education, Consumer Protection, Weights & Measures, Uttar Pradesh, for the academic year 2023-24. These students were so bright and outshined in the disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, B. Pharm, and M.Pharm.

Out of all the 23 rank holders, 12 students were honoured with medals—4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals—manifesting the academic achievement of KIET students. Additionally, the institute was honored with the Kamal Rani Varun Award for the first time, underscoring its dedication to academic excellence and overall development. To celebrate this achievement, KIET hosted a felicitation ceremony at The Regnant Hotel in Lucknow on the same day. The event was attended by Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director General of KIET, Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Mr. Anup Srivastava, Registrar, and other esteemed members of the management. During the ceremony, all medalists were presented with souvenirs from the institute and cash prizes of Rs. 50,000 for Gold, Rs. 40,000 for Silver, and Rs. 30,000 for Bronze.

KIET Secures Top Rank in Engineering, Pharmacy & Innovation: NIRF Rankings 2024

August 13, 2024: On August 12th, 2024, the Ministry of Education released the NIRF rankings for the year 2024, wherein, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad has yet again secured its position in the top-ranking private institutions.

As per the NIRF ranking 2024, KIET has secured 77th rank in the Pharmacy category and featured in the 151-200 rank band in the Engineering category, and 11-50 rank band in the Innovation category. The NIRF ranking parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.”

KIET Felicitates 100+ Alumni and 10+ Educationists in Alumni Meet, Mumbai

June 14, 2024: The Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and Alumni Association of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad (KAA) collaboratively organised an Alumni Meet at Radisson Hotel, Mumbai. The meet has more than 100 alumni along with their spouses and children. Mr. Kumar Gaurav (Vice President -KAA) and Mr. Shivam Shukla (President – KAA) began the event by welcoming the guests and alumni of the institute. Dr. Binkey Srivastava (Head – AEC) invited Dr. Manoj Goel (Joint Director- KIET Group of Institutions).

The Joint Director addressed the crowd and expressed his bewilderment at the endeavours of KIET alumni as leading business owners, engineers, management, and pharmacist experts. Mr. Arvind K. Sharma (Head-CRPC) briefly discussed the institute's achievements, in terms of placements with the alumni. Dr. Preeti Chitkara (Head-PRIR) briefed about the accomplishments of the institute on a global level.

During the event, alumni took the membership of KAA and came forward to contribute to the college in the form of Internships and placement opportunities for the alumni as well as to the current students of KIET.

KIET Organised Sprint Hacks and Endeavor'24

June 14, 2024: The CSE Department and E-Cell of KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently organised Sprint Hacks and Endeavor'24, respectively. Dr Vineet Sharma, Head of the CSE Department, shared that Sprint Hacks 2.0, a 24-hour offline hackathon filled with limitless creativity, was organised by the ‘Google Developer Student Club’. Teams from all over the country participated in this event.

Lieutenant General AB Shivane emphasised the importance of driving the country forward and protecting it, and said “In order to advance and protect the country, it is not necessary for us to be officers, wearing uniform. As teachers, as businessmen, or by doing any business, we can take our country forward and make it capable. Therefore, students who are inclined towards entrepreneurship should work hard and move ahead, thinking of the progress of the country.” Additionally, Shri Sagar Sinha shared valuable insight, and said, “One should never give up on the problems faced in life. A successful businessman is the one who can withstand defeat and can rebuild himself with time.”

The event started off with an exhilarating Treasure Hunt that saw a record 89 teams in participation. Sprint Hacks 2.0 began on schedule and was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Suchit Dudeja, Mrs. Bhavna Chauhan, Mrs. Soumya Awasthi, Mrs. Unnati Chhabra, and Mr. Vishwa Mohan The creator panel highlighted mentorship and innovation. KIET School of Management Organized a Two-Day Faculty Development Program Focused on Enhancing Pedagogy Through Case-Based Teaching

May 28, 2024: The KIET School of Management recently sponsored a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled "Enriching Pedagogy via Case-Based Teaching" to provide MBA faculty members with improved teaching approaches. The programme, conducted on May 22 and 24, 2024, featured eminent speakers from top business schools who presented their knowledge and practical insights. On the first day, Professor Mrinalini Shah of IMT Ghaziabad led the session, which involved an in-depth review of Kellogg's case study. Professor Shah emphasised the value of interactive teaching approaches and how real-world business scenarios can be effectively leveraged to improve student's learning outcomes.

The second day featured Professor and Center Head Dr. Anil Kumar Singh from FORE School of Management, Delhi. Dr. Singh conducted a hands-on session using case studies on the US Airline industry and Harley Davidson. These sessions provided faculty members with practical tools and techniques to implement case-based teaching in their curriculum, fostering a more engaging and practical learning environment for students. The FDP was well-received by attendees, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from seasoned educators and to discuss the challenges and benefits of case-based pedagogy. KIET’s Annual Inter-Institutional Cultural Fest Concludes with Jubin’s Soulful Concert Night

April 16, 2024: The highly anticipated Annual Inter-Institutional Cultural Fest at the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, concluded on Saturday, April 13, 2024, with a heartfelt musical performance by Jubin Nautiyal. This festival, known as EPOQUE@Prastuti, was a three-day cultural program in which 150 inter-institute teams from across the country registered for several competitions, including Group Dance, Beat Boxing, Open Mic, Rap Battle, Fashion Show, Skit/Mime, Nukkad Natak, and Band War on April 12th and 13th.

Teams from IIT Roorkee, IIIT Allahabad, Sharda University, Amity University, Galgotia University, Greater Noida, AAFT (Noida), Gargi College (DU), Ramjas College (DU), RKGIT, ABES, NIT Jalandhar, and other institutes also took part in this festival. This festival drew around 1200 students from various colleges, as well as 7,000 or more college students. This year's festival was a pleasure for the institute because the juries for various activities included celebrity guests from Jammu, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and other parts of the country. The institute welcomed Mr. Rajat Saproo, a popular musician under the moniker Propulsion, to serve on the beatboxing jury. 

The first day started with intra-institutional activities and ended with a lively DJ Night with DJ Ojo, DJ Enzey, and DJ Reconnect. The inter-institutional events began on the second day, which was entirely focused on India's literary arts, culture, and traditions. Jubin set the stage on fire with his live show at the institute on the last day of the festival, which included Bollywood music, mixtapes, and his freshly released Ram Bhajan. Overall, the festival went well, leaving everyone with many memories.

KIET is fully prepared for the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2024

April 16, 2024:  On April 6th, 2024, KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, announced the esteemed global involvement of their SAE-Team Interstellars. Team Interstellars was filled with excitement as they prepared to represent their school at the esteemed NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2024. The starting event on Saturday signals the start of their trip to Huntsville, Alabama, USA, where the competition will occur between April 18th and April 20th, 2024.
The flag-off event was honored by the attendance of Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr. Ashish Karnwal, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. Their being there provided the team with both encouragement and motivation as they took on this difficult but fulfilling task.
During the ceremony, Dr. Manoj Goel conveyed his trust in Team Interstellars, emphasizing their strong determination and pursuit of excellence. He commented that being part of the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge showcases the team's technical skills, as well as their teamwork and creativity.
Dr. Ashish Karnwal, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, praised the team for their hard work in creating a rover that showcases both innovation and effectiveness. He stated that the Interstellars have demonstrated the principles of our organization with their dedication and perseverance. I am confident that they will represent us well on the global platform.
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Head of Department for Electrical and Electronics, also stressed the significance of these competitions in nurturing students' creativity and problem-solving abilities.
The group of seven individuals is well-prepared to present their unique rover design and participate in this prestigious competition against international teams.

Designed by the Centre of Robotics & Mechatronics under the Electronics and Communication Engineering department, ANUSHKA marks a significant advancement in robotics, boasting autonomous movement mechanisms and IoT integration. Led by Dr. Shubham Shukla, Associate Professor, ECE, and student Piyush Khanna, ANUSHKA's creation represents a fusion of tradition and innovation, setting new standards for human-robot interaction and technological excellence.

KIET Inaugurates Centre of Supercomputing Equipped with NVIDIA DGX A100

March 22, 2024:  On Saturday, March 16, 2024, KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, hosted the inaugural ceremony for the "Centre of Supercomputing," introducing the world's first 5 petaFLOPS AI Supercomputer: NVIDIA DGX A100. This groundbreaking technology, embodied in the SUPERCOMPUTER, NVIDIA's DGX A100, signifies a significant stride in the institute's dedication to advancing research and innovation across various disciplines. Supported by the 'Start In UP' startup policy, an initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, this Centre of Supercomputing aims to foster cutting-edge research and development.

The event commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the ceremonial lighting of lamps by esteemed dignitaries. One-Day Youth-to-Youth Quality Connect Programme was Organised by KIET in Partnership with the Bureau of Indian Standards

March 21, 2024: Fifty students from various branches registered and took part in the one-day Youth-to-Youth Quality Connect, Standards Writing Competition and Orientation programme, which was organised by KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, in partnership with the Bureau of Indian Standards, Ghaziabad branch.
Mr. Vishvendra Tanwar, Standard Promotion Consultant, BIS, Dr. Ashish Karnawal, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Mr. Neeraj Kumar, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering, lit the program's first lamp. Mr. Priyanshu Arya, Mr. Suraj, and Mr. Vishvendra Tanwar, the Resource Persons, gave a briefing on BIS activities such as hallmarking, laboratory work, ISI mark, CRS mark, standardisation, training programmes, and BIS Care application. The Youth-to-Youth programme was conducted successfully by providing the necessary guidelines.

February 27, 2024: The Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad-based KIET School of Pharmacy and the Indian Pharmaceutical Association-Delhi State Branch recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding. This relationship aims to strengthen collaboration, improve professional and academic growth, and support the expansion and development of the pharmaceutical industry.
Saraswati Maa Vandana and Lamp Lighting kicked off the event after Dr. K. Nagarajan, Principal, KIET School of Pharmacy, welcomed all of the attendees and dignitaries. IPA-DSB President Mr. Kalhan Bazaz, Secretary Dr. Neeraj, General Manager R&D, Dr. Rajesh Agarwal, Modi Mundi Pharma, Senior Manager A&D, Mr. Ashutosh Trivedi, Pharmazz India Pvt Ltd, Vice President, External Affairs, Dr. Rajiv Chhibber, Sahajanand Medical Technologies Ltd. were among the distinguished guests invited.

KIET Signs a Mou with Mitsubishi Electric India

February 23, 2024:The KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. on February 22, 2024, and opened a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) with a focus on Power Semiconductor Devices, which is supported by Mitsubishi.

On this particular occasion, the industry leaders from Mitsubishi were given a quick introduction to the institute by Dr Anil Ahlawat, the Director-in-Charge. Furthermore, Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, stated, "Our association with Mitsubishi will be based on working on real problem statements to bridge the gap between industry and academia," during a session with Mitsubishi's General Manager. He presented a forward-thinking viewpoint on education, contending that its goals go beyond just helping people find jobs.

February 19, 2024: The annual three-day inter-collegiate sports fest, RANN’24, was inaugurated by KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad on February 16th, 2024. Approximately 1500 students from various colleges and universities enthusiastically participated in 16 sports and games, ranging from Kabaddi to Yoga. Welcoming the participants, management members including Shri Atul Garg Ji, Shri Sarish Aggarwal Ji, and Shri Sunil P Gupta Ji, alongside Director In Charge Dr Anil Kumar Ahlawat, Joint Director Dr Manoj Goel, and Additional Director Dr Shailesh Tiwari, extended their best wishes for the three-day sports extravaganza. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed sports personalities including Olympian and Arjuna Awardee in Shooting, Shri Singhraj Adhana, Dhyan Chand Awardee in Hockey, Shri Ashok Diwan, All India Gold Medalist in Boxing and Arm wrestling, Manisha Chahar, and NSNIS Coach in Boxing, Jyoti Nagar, among others.

Sharing his inspiring journey, Shri Singhraj Adhana recounted his childhood aspirations of joining the army, which were thwarted by a polio diagnosis. Undeterred, his passion for serving the nation propelled him towards shooting, culminating in recognition at the age of 35. KIET Group of Institutions Organises The Hackers Meetup  

February 7, 2024: The Hackers Meetup, KIET Chapter, was a huge success and was recently hosted by the department of Computer Science and Information Technology at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad. About 80 people in all attended, all of them brimming with questions and excitement about cybersecurity. 
The keynote speakers were invited to be Mr. Sahil Sharma, the OWASP Chapter Lead, and Mr. Soumak Roy, the VP and Practice Head at SDG Corporation. In addition to discussing the dark web and its complexities, they exchanged knowledge about the path to a prosperous cybersecurity career. 

Prominent industry mentors, such as Mr. Amit S, Mr. Sanchay Singh, Mr. Pankaj Yadav, Ms. Kashish Huma Hashim, Mr. Pritam Malik, and Mr. Abhishrey Gupta were also present at the event and inspired the participants. Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director, shared how important cybersecurity experts are as development of code requires less hardwork as compared to breaking it and finding vulnerabilities.

February 1, 2024: On January 30, 2024, the Department of PR & International Relations at KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, orchestrated a session in collaboration with the Patanjali Japan Foundation, shedding light on 'Work Opportunities in Japan.' Distinguished guest speakers included Mr. Ashutosh Singh, Founder and Representative Director of Patanjali Japan Foundation, Yumi Ishida, Yasuhiro Matsuo, Deepika Singh, and Samepal Singh. The event aimed to create awareness about Japan and their unique Agniveer Japan Project. The session, attended by approximately 650+ students across various disciplines, commenced with a warm welcome to the guests and an oxy plant presentation, attended by Deans, HoDs, and Preeti Chitkara, Head of PR & International Relations. Chitkara emphasized the increasing need for learning foreign languages in today's competitive world, highlighting the department's six-year initiative in offering language training in German and Japanese.

Ashutosh Singh, an alumnus of the institute, shared his personal journey of securing job opportunities in Japan with a B.Tech degree and basic Japanese language proficiency. He introduced 'Agniveer,' a project facilitating employment opportunities for Bharatiyans in Japan through training and bridging the gap between candidates in Bharat and employers in Japan. Following the session, the delegates engaged in one-on-one meetings with KIET officials, culminating in a signed 'Letter of Intent' between KIET Group of Institutions and Patanjali Japan Foundation. Manoj Goel expressed satisfaction with the enlightening session, followed by the national anthem and a group photograph. Dr Madhu Gautam proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of faculty and student coordinators. Notable faculty members graced the occasion, contributing to the success of the event.

National Voter's Day Organized at KIET

 

January 29, 2024: In honour of National Voters' Day, the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, recently organised a number of events. The District Magistrate of Ghaziabad sponsored and guided National Service Scheme students as they organised a "Voting Awareness Rally" from KIET to Muradnagar. Many students took part in this demonstration, encouraging people to cast ballots.
Dr. Anil Ahlawat, the institute's director in charge, gave the oath to the students and informed them about voting. Additionally, a quiz competition with the theme "There is nothing like voting—we will definitely vote" was held for the institute's students. With the support of Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Manoj Goel, the joint director, and Mr. Sunil P. Gupta, the general secretary, the voting awareness campaign ran successfully.

MANIFEST - 2024 at KIET: An Amalgamation of Knowledge and Creativity

January 29, 2023: A lively celebration of knowledge and creativity, MANIFEST - 2024 was recently organised by the KIET School of Management at the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad. This event was organised to educate children about entrepreneurship and instil a sense of teamwork in them. At the festival, more than 1000 students from KIET and more than 200 teams from 50 different institutes took part.  

The main attractions of the festival were several games and activities, including Just-a-Minute, Management Shayari, Hunt for Success, Case Elucidation, Corporate Roadies, Monopoly, Business Plan, Biz Trivia Triumph, etc. One lakh rupees worth of cash awards were given away.  

The joint director, Dr Manoj Goel, and the in-charge director, Dr Anil Ahlawat, encouraged the students to update their skills in line with market demands. The event's guest of honour was Paytm's associate vice president of marketing, Naveen Kumar, who received an invitation. He talked to the students about the value of innovation and entrepreneurship.  

In her closing remarks, Dr Binkey Srivastava, HoD MBA, commended each organiser. This programme was a great success because of the coordinated efforts of the student coordinators, teachers, and co-convener, Dr Arunima Mishra. 

KIET Promotes "Skill Will Lead" to Bridge the Gap Between Industry and Academia

January 10, 2024: The CII-Promoting skills through Inter College Engagement, a CSR initiative by Emirates Technologies Pvt Ltd. with the subject "Skill Will Lead," was held on January 8, 2024, at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, in association with KIET School of Management. The event's main goal was to help management students bridge the gap between academics and industry. The programme was attended by 300 students from the MBA, PGDM, and PGDBM programmes. 

 Management students from KIET Group of Institutions, IILM University, Sharda University, Amity University, Jaipuria School of Business, Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management, and the PLI Scheme of GOI participated in this programme and gave presentations on topics like "Digital Transformation," "Lessons to be learned from your competitors," and so on.

Prominent figures from the industry comprise the jury: Supreet Singh, an entrepreneur in the event management sector; Vaibhav Gupta, DGM-Sales and Marketing at Deki Electronics Ltd. in Noida; and Jitendra Gautam, an executive in charge of procurement at Ambica Steel Ltd. 

The KIET Group of Institutions took first place in the competition, followed by Amity University in second place and Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management in third. 

KIET Conducts 6-Days FDP on Deep Learning for Visual Computing

January 10, 2024: The KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, has initiated a six-day ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Deep Learning for Visual Computing, running from January 8 to January 13, 2024. This program, fully sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi, offers an extensive learning opportunity covering topics ranging from convolutional neural networks to image recognition, object detection, and practical applications of Deep Learning in visual computing. The FDP has attracted 50 participants from technical colleges and universities across various cities. The inauguration of the FDP was led by Prof R K Khandal, Former Vice-Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Other key figures present at the inaugural ceremony included Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr Anil Ahlawat, Director Incharge, and Dr Prof. Vineet Sharma, HoD CSE.

During the event, the Chief Guest and Dignitaries addressed the participants, emphasizing the crucial role of Deep Learning in transforming visual computing. Dr Khandal praised KIET for its dedication to advancing knowledge and innovation. Dr Manoj Goel underscored the significance of such programs in shaping the future of technology, while Dr Anil Ahlawat and Dr Prof. Vineet Sharma stressed the importance of continuous learning to keep abreast of technological advancements. Throughout the FDP, expert speakers from various premier institutes of India will conduct sessions, aiming to empower faculty members and researchers with the latest tools and techniques in this dynamic field. Dr Prof. Dilkeshwar Pandey and Dr. Sanjiv Sharma are serving as the coordinators of this FDP.

KIET Organized “Mega Health Camp” in Collaboration with Fortis Hospital

January 2, 2024: Together with Fortis Hospital in Greater Noida, the KIET School of Pharmacy at the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad arranged a "Mega Health Camp." The health camp's goals were early illness detection and screening, health care promotion, and increased public knowledge of various diseases. About 195 students and faculty members took part in the health camp in a proactive manner.
 Honourable representatives and dignitaries, including Principal-KSOP Dr. K. Nagarajan, Dean-Student Welfare Dr. Satish Kumar, Joint Director Dr. Manoj Goel, Assistant Director Dr. Shailesh Tiwari, and Director-in-Charge Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat, graced the Health Camp with their presence and supported universal healthcare.  Together with members of KSOP, volunteers, support staff, and medical professionals from Fortis Hospital made the event possible.

KIET Inaugurates Scopus Index Two-Day International Conference

January 02, 2024: The Department of MCA at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad inaugurated the two-day international conference RACTE-2023, indexed in Scopus, on December 29, 2023. Notable figures such as Dr Sushil Chandra (Dean, Rishihood University Sonipat and former Scientist 'G' DRDO), Dr Rajendra Gade (Professor, Goa University), Dr Anil Ahlawat (Director in-charge, KIET), Dr Manoj Goel (Joint Director, KIET), Dr Shailesh Tiwari (Additional Director, KIET), Dr Arun Kumar Tripathi (Head of MCA Department, KIET), Dr Amit Kumar Gupta (General Chair), Dr. Akash Rajak (Conference Chair), and others graced the inaugural ceremony.

Dr Anil Ahlawat, in his address, encouraged participating researchers, highlighting the conference's role in unveiling innovations across various fields and industry changes. Dr Manoj Goel commended the conference as an excellent effort to understand diverse research and innovations. He urged students to enhance their research skills for contributing to the country's development. Dr Arun Kumar Tripathi expressed gratitude to guests and researchers, emphasizing the conference's significance in fostering innovation. Dr Akash Rajak, the Conference Chair, presented the conference report, noting participation from national and international representatives, including Japan, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia. Out of 87 received research papers, 36 were selected for presentation in four technical sessions chaired by experts like Dr Prashant P. Pitalia and Dr Rafat Parveen.

Two additional sessions on the following day would be chaired by Dr Alok Singh Chauhan and Dr Devpriya Soni. Professor Rabi Narayan Panda (Technical Chair and Additional Head MCA CITE) expressed gratitude to guests, researchers, and the conference team, wishing for the conference's success. The event saw attendance from Deans, Heads of all departments, faculty members, students of the MCA Department, and representatives from industry and academic institutions.

KIET Students Top the Charts with 10 Medalists and 22 University Rank Holders for the Session 2022-23

December 28, 2023:At the 21st Convocation Ceremony conducted at AKTU, Lucknow on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, the distinguished students of the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, were honoured. According to the AKTU-released list of university rank holders for the 2022–2023 session, 22 students from the institute were placed in the top 10 at the university level. There were fourteen B.Tech students, two B.Pharm students, three M.Pharm students, and one student from each of the following programmes: MBA, MCA, and M.Tech. 

On the same day in Lucknow, the institute threw a felicitation celebration for all the deserving students, to which their proud parents were also invited, to commemorate this accomplishment. A monetary award of Rs 50,000, 40,000, and 30,000 was given to each of the gold, silver, and bronze medallists in the presence of the Institute's director, Dr. Anil Ahlawat, joint director, Dr. Manoj Goel, and registrar, Mr. Anup Srivastava.  "I feel extremely proud when I see my students getting recognition for their hardwork and passion," Dr. Anil Ahlawat remarked on the occasion. 

 KIET Gets Nostalgic: Annual Alumni Meet ‘Reminiscence 2023’

December 28, 2023:Reminiscence 2023 was held on campus on Saturday, December 23, 2023, by the Alumni Association (KAA) and Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) of the KIET Group of Institutions. The purpose of the gathering was to stay in touch with former students and inform them of any latest developments at the college.
Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat, Director-in-Charge of the KIET Group of Institutions, and Dr. Manoj Goel, Joint Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, opened the programme by extending a warm welcome to all of the alumni. Head of AEC Dr. Binkey Srivastava gave an overview of how AEC and KAA came to be and urged the former students to maintain ties to their university. Alumni spoke during the event on their work trajectories to inspire students.

Dr. Anil K. Ahlawat talked about all of the achievements the institute has made in the last few decades. Speaking to the assembly, Dr Manoj Goyal expressed his amazement at the efforts made by KIET alumni who are now well-known entrepreneurs, professors, software and management specialists, and chemists. He also suggested that all of the alumni join the KIET Alumni Association, or KAA. 

KIET Celebrates National Mathematics Day

December 28, 2023: On December 22, 2023, the Department of B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions observed National Mathematics Day in honor of the eminent Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan's birth anniversary. The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) collaborated in the event's organization, which aimed to educate teachers and students on the value of mathematics for the advancement of civilization. Virtual Global Conclave Organized at KIET Group of Institutions

December 18, 2023: On Friday, December 15, 2023, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, successfully held a one-day Virtual Global Conclave with the theme Traversing the VUCA Landscape with Soft Skills. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (Training Wing) arranged the conclave, which gathered professionals, experts, and leaders from India and beyond in a variety of industries. The keynote speakers were Ikshwaku Goel (India), Shorya Moona (Dubai), Vibhore Garg (Singapore), and Harendar Chadha (Canada).

A vote of gratitude was given by Komal Mehrotra (HoD-Humanities & Social Sciences) to conclude the programme. The event was supported and organised rather effectively by Isha Grewal, Ankita Banerjee, Sudesh Pathania, Vinod Agarwal, Manish Gupta, Sarvendra Pratap Singh, and Pawan Chaturvedi. The moderators for the event were Shrikant Keshav and Himanshu Saxena.

KIET Group of Institutions Organizes the Annual Inter-Institute Technical Fest?"INNOTECH 2023” on?8th December, 2023

 December 15, 2023: The KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, organised the ninth edition of their annual technical fest Innotech on the theme 'Sustainable Social Impact Solutions' on Friday, December 8, 2023. Nearly 1000 teams enrolled for the event, which includes teams from KIET, GL Bajaj, Galgotias, Bennett University, and Surevin International School, among others. As audience members, students from Wisdom International School were the major attraction of the event. The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by the Chief Guest, Mr. Narendra Bhooshan, Senior IAS officer and Head of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of honourable members of the management, namely Shri Atul Garg ji, Shri Sunil P Gupta ji, and Shri Sarish Kumar.

Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, Dr Shailesh Tiwari, Additional Director, and Dr Anil Ahlawat, Director in-charge, reviewed all of the projects and posters shown by the students, along with the chief guest and members of management. They met with the youngsters and were blown away by their technical ability and talent. Narendra Bhooshan commented on the stalls, "I must say that Gen Z is very fearless." They have a lot of ideas that can move our country forward and boost the productivity of everyone, from pharma to ladies in the field. Today's yuva is developing this type of atmosphere, and KIET is a pioneer in it. I offered that KIET not only do it on this campus, but also serve as the area's leader. We can consider establishing a hub where KIET guides the other institutes as well."  The event also included an expo featuring the institute's five centres of excellence, ten technical clubs, and twenty TBI-KIET companies. 

The winners of the event were felicitated by the Chief Guest Mr. Narendra Bhooshan and honourable dignitaries of KIET in the grand valedictory ceremony which took place after the presentations and evaluations. Team __ bagged the first prize for the project presentation followed by team __ as the first runner up and team __ as the second runner up. The poster presentation category had team __ as winners while team __ & team __ were 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively. The participant teams from colleges and schools were provided with a prize pool of over 1 lakh. Also, there were special awards for the participating schools to encourage their enthusiasm in the technical field. 

Blood Donation Camp at KIET To Save Lives

December 11, 2023:A Blood Donation Camp was held by the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad in partnership with the Lion's Club, Ghaziabad, as part of an effort to save lives. A cause that has the potential to save lives received a resounding reaction from the instructors, staff, and students involved in the event. A total of 264 blood sample units were obtained.

The campaign's main goal was to increase public awareness of how vital it is to give blood on a regular basis in order to support emergency medical procedures and healthcare systems. Dr. Manoj Goel, the joint director of the institute, stated, "We are appreciative of the amazing support from the community. The success of this event is indicative of the KIET Group Institutions' and Lion's Club Ghaziabad's values of giving back to the community and community involvement. In addition, he greeted and expressed gratitude to Dr. Anant Vir Jain, President of the Lion's Club Ghaziabad, Shri Sunil P. Gupta Ji, General Secretary of the KIET Group of Institutions, Sh. Sheilesh Garg, and Sh. Deepak Goel for their participation in the blood donation campaign.

KIET Celebrates Silver Jubilee with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath 
  November 2, 2023: The KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, held a spectacular degree distribution ceremony and silver jubilee celebration on campus on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. As the esteemed chief guest of the occasion, Shri Yogi Adityanath, the honourable chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, blessed the occasion.

"I have come to congratulate the institute on the occasion of completing 25 years of academic journey," UP CM Yogi Adityanath remarked in his speech. He applauded the institute for moulding and refining India's next generation with the introduction of cutting-edge courses like robotics and space technologies.

 KIET Organized an Expert Talk as Part of Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047

October 20, 2023: The Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047 initiative was started by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and AICTE under the inspirational leadership of Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and was held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Department of B. Tech First Year and Applied Sciences at KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad. 

AICTE selected Shri Lokesh Mehra, Senior Business Lead Learner Engagement, Amazon Web Services, as the keynote speaker for this major event. He came to the institute to share his ideas about the potential and transformation brought about by the new normal.

In his opening remarks, Dr A. Garg stated, "We feel extremely fortunate to have been chosen by the AICTE as one of the institutes to organise an expert lecture under Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat @2047. Before 2047, we will undoubtedly achieve the objectives of Amrit Kaal Vimarsh Vikasit Bharat with constant efforts and resolve.”

Involvement in this programme, where newly admitted students can explore their academic, extracurricular, sporting, and other interests for their evolution in professional, emotional, and mental routes, was discussed by Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary, Dean B.Tech First Year and Applied Sciences. In his interactions with the students, Lokesh Mehra advised them: "As the GenZ students, you all must focus on getting good grades, exploring internship opportunities, learning a foreign language, and inculcating a habit of reading, in order to be successful in this tech-driven world."  

TBI-KIET is Now One of the Nine Partner Incubators in India

October 10, 2023:The Directorate of Indigenization (DIO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has chosen the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) of the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, as a Partner Incubator. TBI-KIET is now a member of an exclusive club of nine nationally chosen incubators thanks to this important designation. 9 incubators were added to the 19 incubators that were previously present as part of the recent "Swavlamban 2023" event held in New Delhi. The statement was made during a formal ceremony at the occasion, which was attended by the Honourable Raksha Mantri (RM), Shri Rajnath Singh, and other senior representatives of the Indian Defence forces. Other than IITs, IIMs, and IIITs, only two to three private institutions have been acknowledged as partner incubators by the iDEX programme. However, TBI-KIET has also denoted its place on the list of partner incubators following this acknowledgement. As a partner incubator, TBI-KIET will assist in promoting DISC, Defence innovation, choosing, and incubating the winners of the DISC challenge.

KIET Flagged Off its Annual ‘International Education Awareness Week’ With a Bang 

October 9, 2023: From October 3 through October 6, 2023, the Department of PR & International Relations of the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organised a 4-day International Education Awareness Week (IEAW) on campus. This is an annual flagship programme that the institute started in order to give information about internships and overseas education. In accordance with this programme, an education fair was held on October 5 with participation from more than 500 college students and 100 school pupils from a wide range of institutions. 

Dr A. Garg, Director of KIET, stressed the value of an international education on this occasion in order to develop into a global citizen. He inspired the students to study technology from around the globe and to work for the advancement of both humanity and the country. 

All of the distinguished speakers, together with the faculty and student coordinators, were honoured at a ceremony that followed these sessions for their contributions to the event's success. "We should always try to innovate our ideas on bringing the best to the table," Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director of KIET, said in appreciation of the Department of PR & International Relations' efforts. "I congratulate Dr Preeti Chitkara for coming up with an amazing concept like IEAW and uniting counsellors, university representatives, school teachers, and students under one umbrella."

October 9, 2023: For BTech first-year students, the Department of Applied Sciences and BTech First Year at the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad conducted a three-week Student Induction Programme (2023–24). Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan, Advisor of All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of Education, spoke at a session organized by the department for the Student Induction Program on October 5th. An Oxy plant was used to greet the guest speaker by Dr A. Garg, Director of KIET, and Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director of KIET. The KIET Anthem was played before the program continued, followed by a brief introduction to the organization. The director of the institute then gave a welcome address. In addition to all the new students who have chosen to join the KIET family, he stated, "I feel really honored to welcome Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan to our campus." He continued by highlighting the significant accomplishments the institute had made over the last 25 years. 

The students found Dr Ramesh Unnikrishnan's presentation to be incredibly interesting and motivating. The pupils loved hearing him talk and were much impressed by him. He said, referring to engineering, "It is important to learn how to apply theory concepts of respective branches into practical applications." Engineers are not technocrats; they are social engineers. Connect with the challenges affecting your neighborhood and use your talents to find answers. The importance of SIP at the beginning of the first year of BTech coursework at any institute was another topic he covered. Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary, Dean (BTech First Year and Applied Sciences), received praise from Dr Manoj Goel for his successful organization of the induction program. Dean (BTech First Year and Applied Sciences), Dr Shailendra Kumar Tiwary, gave the vote of thanks at this session, and the National Anthem concluded it.

TBI-KIET Selected as One of the Nine Partner Incubators in India

TBI-KIET is now a member of an exclusive club of nine nationally chosen incubators thanks to this important designation. Nine incubators were added to the previous 19 incubators during the recent "Swavlamban 2023" event held on October 4 in New Delhi. The statement was made during a formal ceremony at the occasion, which was attended by the Honourable Raksha Mantri (RM), Shri Rajnath Singh, and other senior representatives of the Indian Defence forces. Other than IITs, IIMs, and IIITs, only two to three private institutions have been acknowledged as partner incubators by the iDEX programme. The Honourable PM introduced the iDEX project in April 2018. KIET Celebrates the Success of Chandrayan Mission – 3 on Campus

August 25, 2023: On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, the entire nation was glued to their mobile screens for the live telecast of Chandrayan Mission 3's landing, and so was the KIET Group of Institutions and its family. The Centre of Excellence for Space Missions and the Dean Student Welfare team worked together to set up live streaming at the campus auditorium so that all faculty/staff members and students could watch and enjoy this historic event as One Proud Indian Family. Everyone in the audience was ecstatic when the Vikram Lander successfully landed on the moon's south pole at 6:04PM. Everyone hugged and cherished the spirit of being an Indian citizen. Sweets and other refreshments were also made available.

KIET Celebrates International Yoga Day on Campus

June 22, 2023: The KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, organised a large event to commemorate the International Day of Yoga on campus on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Over 500 fitness enthusiasts, including the director, joint director, deans, heads of department, faculty/staff members, and students from the institute, took part in the yoga session. Dr A. Garg, Director, Dr Satish Kumar, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr Hemlata Sharma lit the lamps to kick off the programme. Saraswati Vandana was then brilliantly performed by the gifted students. Dr A. Garg continued the presentation by extending a warm welcome to the chief guest, Dr Hemlata Sharma, a well-known Yogacharya and student of the yogic sutras in our country. 

"Yoga is the most precious ancestral heritage for Indians, and we should make it a point to utilise it for keeping our mental and physical health sound and on track," Dr Garg said in a request for the participants to learn the discipline art. Dr Sharma, a Yogacharya, was in charge of instructing all of the KIET employees present during the yoga session in various yoga mudras and poses. Shavasana, Dandasana, Vajrasana, Navasana, Urdhva Hastasana, Bhujangasana, Vrksasana, and others were among them. She echoed the director of the institute when she said, "Yoga is not just a technique to keep yourself fit and healthy; it is rather a healing process that cleanses you from within and activates the chakras in your body." Additionally, she discussed a few workplace yoga positions. This was followed with the felicitation of Dr Hemlata Sharma with a memento as a token of respect and vote of thanks by Mona Agarwal, Sports Officer, KIET. The entire crowd gathered around the stage for the national anthem and a group photograph. Overall, the event went out very smooth, rejuvenating all the members to start their day fresh and in a healthy way.

KIET Organises RUN 2.0 to Commemorate 25 Years of Excellence

May 23, 2023: The KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, formally announced on Sunday, May 21, 2023, that the institution is celebrating 25 years of excellence this year by hosting the "KIET RUN 2.0," a 5-km running event. More than 200 participants, including students, staff members, institute officials, and volunteers, ran across the course to support the concept of "being healthy" at this event, which was successfully organised in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Dr A. Garg, Director, Dr Manoj Goel, Joint Director, and honourable chief guests Kiran Sethi, Sub-Inspector, Delhi, and Dr Richa Sood, Director & Principal, Royal Kids School, Ghaziabad, conducted the flag-off ceremony to kick off the event. The competitors then began to run and stroll quickly after that. 
Each participant had to run at least 5 laps before moving on to the felicitation event, where Dr A Garg thanked all of the KIET alumni for their 25 years of brilliance. "We are celebrating 'bemisaal 25 years here on this platform, and it gives me great joy to welcome Kiran Sethi and Dr Richa Sood. We definitely want to add sports as one of the elective topics, as and when we transform into an autonomous institute, I say, being inspired by your passion for sports and health. The event came to an end with group photographs and awarding medals to all the participants. Institute’s dignitaries also presented mementos to the chief guests, in the presence of Dr Binkey Srivastava (Head MBA and AEC), Dr Adesh Pandey (Dean IT), and Mr Anup Srivastava (Registrar).

KIET Organises a Guest Talk on “Career in the Financial & Consulting Industry”

May 22, 2023:  Ankur Nehra, Associate Director at CRISIL Market Intelligence & Analytics, Crisil Limited, was the guest speaker at a guest talk on "Career Path in the Financial & Consulting industry" that was organised by KIET School of Management on Friday, May 19, 2023. Dr Binkey Srivastava (HOD-MBA) gave the speaker a bouquet to start the session. We are thrilled to have Ankur Nehra speak at the institute as the guest speaker, and I am confident that we will all gain some fascinating information regarding the consulting industry in the present, she remarked.  

The importance of the subject and how to create a clear career path in the financial and consulting industries were briefly summarised for the students by Prof. Ranchay Bhateja.  Ankur Nehra Ji discussed the rapidly evolving abilities needed in the corporate world of today and gave advice on how students could start lucrative consulting careers. He concentrated on the field of "Sustainability" as a career because there will be many opportunities in it in the future. He claimed that "due to lack of exposure, these career roles are limited to people in metro cities and B schools and students can compete in this segment if given the right direction." Dr Amit Kumar Arora presented a vote of thanks to the guest of the event. Prof. Anjan Kumar along with MBA-1 st year students coordinated this event successfully.
 
KIET Organises Alumni Chapter Meet In Bengaluru

October 12, 2022: In conjunction with Alumni Engagement Cell (AEC) and KIET Alumni Association (KAA), the KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, recently held its Alumni Chapter Meet in Bengaluru. Together with their partners and children, around 150 alumni attended the ceremony. The purpose of the gathering was to re-establish contact with alumni and inform them of recent developments at the college.

The ceremony was held at the Hotel Holiday Inn in Bengaluru's Race Course, where the programme began with a welcome address for the alumni. The luminaries of the institute, including Dr A. Garg, Sarish Aggarwal, and Sunil P. Gupta, were invited by the head of AEC, Dr Binkey Srivastava (Director). In her speech, she discussed the founding of AEC and KAA and urged the graduates to maintain ties to their alma university.

The Institute's latest improvements and accomplishments were also covered by the Director. Sarish Agarwal and Sunil P. Gupta, members of the honourable management, spoke to the audience and expressed their surprise at the accomplishments of KIET alumni as well-known company entrepreneurs, professors, pharmacists, and software and management professionals. Ankur Bhardwaj (DPC-CSE), Kamal Kant Sharma (Associate Head-AEC), and Arvind K. Sharma (Head-CRPC) updated the alumni on the placements and accomplishments of the institute. The KAA President and Secretary General, Shri Shivam Shukla, discussed ways to keep alumni from all batches in touch with the alumni community.

A few of the alumni also recalled their experiences while studying at KIET and pledged their continued affiliation with the school. The occasion was a huge success and left everyone with many fond memories.

KIET Group of Institutions Pays Gratitude to Fourth-Grade Employees on International Peace Day

September 26, 2022:On the occasion of International Peace Day, the students of the Student Activity Club at the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR Ghaziabad, under the auspices of the Center of Excellence ‘Happiness’ value education (VE) cell, conveyed their sincere gratitude to the cleaning staff. In this performance, the students gave sincere thanks to the fourth-grade staff members for maintaining the college hygienic and clean through their words of appreciation. At the conclusion of the programme, everyone was offered refreshments with their own hands. The fourth-grade staff members were overjoyed to be treated with respect by the students.

All of the students were present to express their gratitude, together with the coordinator of the ‘Happiness’ value education (VE) cell at the Centre of Excellence.

Hero MotoCorp Organises Placement Drive at KIET Group of Institutions

September 5, 2022: A placement drive was held by the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR and Ghaziabad for employment of the students from the Mechanical Engineering Department's skill development centre. In partnership with Hero MotoCorp and the Automotive Skill Development Council, the Department of Mechanical developed this skill development centre. The goal of this skill development centre is to provide economically disadvantaged and needy students with employable skills. Before the programme began, representatives from Hero MotoCorp met with the first batch of Hero Skill Development Center's successful students and offered encouragement to all the students.

Dr Amik Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, lit the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati to kick off the programme. He congratulated the students and said that there are several options for skill development at this centre for both engineering students and these youngsters. He urged Hero Group to provide future classes on electric vehicles in this skill-development facility, which will raise students' awareness of and comprehension of new technologies. He went into great depth on how 2-wheeler technology has evolved over the past 30 years.

KIET Group of Institutions Organises the Closing Ceremony of Smart India Hackathon-2022 Grand Finale

August 30, 2022: The Smart India Hackathon-2022 Grand Finale was hosted at the institute from August 25–29, 2022, and was organised by the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi–NCR, Ghaziabad.

The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, AICTE, Persistent Systems, and i4c coordinated the Smart India Hackathon, which is hailed as the largest open innovation model in the world. All India Radio and Doordarshan served as media partners, and Shell and AWS served as sponsors for the SIH 2022.

KIET was selected as the only nodal centre in UP for the Hardware edition of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav by the MoE's Innovation Cell and AICTE out of 74 other nodal centres across the nation.

15 teams in all worked on 4 problem statements provided by Coal India Limited and the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution, respectively, as part of the event. Out of 15 teams, 6 teams (2 teams tied for first place) prevailed in the competition. Team Phantom Troupe 1 won the category for developing a "Prototype of a Solar Powered IOT Device with the Ability to Connect to a Smart Network that Could be Used in Geo Tagging of Physical Assets Created," while Team Srijan 2.0 won under the category for "Work Clothing that has Sensors Embedded in It to Securely Transmit Data to Managers About Hazardous Conditions and the Workers' Physical, Last but not least, Teams Technotrons and Knight Hackers won under the category of "Artificial Intelligence enabled Agriculture, Food and Public Robotic stacker for mechanised Distribution Loading/Unloading of foodgrain." These teams worked to develop a scientific method for determining age of food & boiled rice.

Dr. A. Garg honoured Pooja Rawat, the jury members, and other dignitaries in attendance during the closing remarks. The SIH Center Head, Ashish D. Thombre, gave a Vote of Thanks to conclude the closing ceremony. The participating teams were all given congratulations by the Deans, Heads, and Functional Heads of the institute for making it to the national level. They also sent their greetings and wishes for the future.

Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell Chooses KIET To Facilitate The Smart India Hackathon Hardware Edition

August 25, 2022: The Smart India Hardware Hackathon will take place from August 25 to August 29 at one of the nodal centres, which has been chosen as the KIET Group of Institutions in Delhi-NCR and Ghaziabad. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Persistent Systems, i4c, the Ministry of Education, and its Innovation Cell are all involved in organising this event. The media partners for SIH 2022 are Doordarshan and All India Radio, while Shell and AWS are the event sponsors.

AICTE and the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell chose 75 incubators and higher educational institutions as the nodal centres to host the Smart India Hackathon and carry out the event in a well-organized manner; KIET was one of them. This was done as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.

The first day began with the lighting of lamps and the adoration of Goddess Saraswati, who was invoked to assist the participants in solving the challenging problem statements that were provided. Dr. A. Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, gave a brief welcoming speech after that. He looked to be sincerely impressed by the kids' abilities when he said, "Young people shape the destiny of the country. Therefore, I think that every student needs to make development in the area of product creation so that we, the people of India, can develop and nurture creative, inventive, and problem-solving minds from an early age.

Following the local opening, the institute connected to the national opening, where Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe welcomed all of the VIPs present at all 75 nodal centres, as well as the media, participants, and their faculty coordinators, in his remarks. He also expressed his gratitude to all the nodal centres for providing lodging and other amenities to the participants who had travelled from various parts of the nation to their respective campuses. He advised the audience to only concentrate on how to address the problem statements that had been given to them as he wrapped up his speech.

KIET Group Of Institutions Bags The National Happiness Unicorn Awards

August 24, 2022: At Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad on Sunday, August 21, 2022, the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, received National Happiness Unicorn Awards. 10,000 people from all over the country showed there to support the event.

KIET was one of the institutions recognised with these accolades, which were sanctioned by AICTE and sponsored by YourOneLife and Heartful Campus.

Dr. A. Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, expressed his feeling of overwhelm by saying, "Happiness drives a good character, mental health, and resilience. Therefore, as a school, we should always prioritise lowering student intolerance and despair while increasing their happy levels. Taking into account the significance of happiness in contemporary life, we established a happiness/value education cell that informs both our professors and students about the worth of life, mindfulness, tranquilly, productivity, and general well-being. Because of this, we were also honoured with the "Institution of Happiness" Award by QS I-GUAGE on May 12 during the Academic Excellence Conclave.”

The honourable principal guest at the occasion was K. Kavitha, a member of the Legislative Council from Nizamabad. While Telangana is turning the tide, she continued, "We are aware of the need to build a strong rib cage that can support the expanding aspirations and per capita income within the state. We understand how crucial it is to do that while maintaining an equally steadfast commitment to making sure that this progress is founded on joy and compassion.”

Nationwide directors and vice chancellors from various institutions, including the director of the KIET Group of Institutions, participated in the event, which was not only great but a success.

KIET Group of Institutions Organises an Inter-School Quiz Competition

August 22, 2022: On August 17 and 18, the KIET Group of Institutions organised a two-day inter-school quiz competition called ‘Manthan’ in association with the Department of PR & International Relations and Quizzinga (The Quiz Club of KIET). Over 120 students from 30+ teams from various Indian states participated and won special prizes.

The event's main attraction was Team MBCN from the special needs school Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan School in Noida. Teams from this school took part in a unique quiz session and volunteered to perform rap and song as well. One of the teams took home goody bags, a cash prize of Rs 2100, and the special quiz.

Dr A. Garg, Director of the KIET Group of Institutions, gave a thought-provoking lecture to begin the programme. He talked about the issues and difficulties with skill development and employment in India, which call for a connection between the educational system, higher education, and business. The percentage of students in the eligible age group enrolled in higher education, or the gross enrollment ratio (GER), is 27.1% in 2019–20, up from 26.3% in 2018–19 and 24.3% in 2014–2015, the author continued. We must concentrate on schoolchildren and motivate them to pursue higher education if we want to improve it.

KIET Group of Institutions Hoists National Flag in 5 Villages

August 16, 2022: In order to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with the villagers, UBA team KIET Group of Institutions raised the National Flag (on 25 houses in each village) under the direction of AICTE and Dr APJ AKTU Lucknow.

Activities like these, according to UBA coordinator Dr K.P. Mishra of the KIET Group of Institutions, are extremely important for bolstering our commitment to nation building.

Prof. Anuj Pathak, Dr Rajeev Kumar, and Prof. Aayush Kumar, together with the rest of the UBA team, saw to it that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Programme’ was carried out in all the villages in a very efficient manner. KIET Group of Institutions Organises Two Workshops on Outcome-Based Education

August 16, 2022: On its campus from August 1–5, 2022, and again from August 8–13, 2022, the KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi–NCR, Ghaziabad, conducted two workshops on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) methods.

To train its recently hired faculty members, the placement cell's conference room hosted phases 1 and 2 of the workshops. This effort aids new hires in incorporating the institute's top OBE practises into their teaching-learning procedures. Teaching learning for worldwide recognition, opportunity, and jobs requires the OBE practise. It must be used in order for the school and various programmes to receive accreditation. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), a bridge that spans national borders, has certified all of KIET's engineering, computer application, management, and pharmacy programmes. Globally, it is reportedly true that overseas universities and employers are aware of the numerous programmes offered at KIET. As a result, young KIETians (students) have access to internship and job possibilities around the globe. Due to NBA, India's status as a permanent signatory to the Washington Accord as of June 13, 2014, this is now permissible.

The distinguished members of the OBE team of Dean Academics, including Dr Atul Kant Piyoosh (Associate Dean) and Dr Yaduvir Singh, successfully led both parts of the workshops on OBE techniques (Assistant Dean). Dr A. Garg (Director) addressed the audience during the opening sessions of the seminars and inspired the attendees by encouraging them to move forward and adopt a First Time Right (FTR) approach. He also underlined the faculty member's need to truly implement the institute's best OBE practises. Warm greetings were given by Dr Manoj Goel (Joint Director), Dr Anil K. Ahlawat (Dean -A), and Dr Shailendra K. Tiwary (Dean BTech. 1st Year) to the attendees and the in-house resource people, which included deans and professors from various departments.

KIET Group of Institutions Hits a Record of 95.03% Placement

July 8, 2022: In 2021–2022, the KIET Group of Institutions in Ghaziabad, Delhi–NCR, sets a new benchmark for placement performance with a 95.03 per cent mark. According to reports, 350 firms visited the university throughout the year for various recruitment events, during which 1492 students were interviewed by a panel and received 2300 job offers. Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Cisco, and American Express are a few of the well-known brands. The highest package reportedly given to a student was INR 48.40 LPA. Additionally, the top 100 students' average packages were found to be INR 21.28 LPA on average, compared to INR 7.25 LPA for all students.

“We have a variety of CTC Terminals, where 22 students received the 2nd highest package of INR 44.14 LPA, 3 students received the 3rd highest package, which is INR 29 LPA, and 14 students received the 4th highest package of INR 27.86 LPA”, according to Arvind Sharma, Head of Corporate Relations & Placement Cell (CRPC).

Dr Manoj Goel, the joint director of the KIET college, also expressed his joy and offered the team his congratulations. He said, "I can envision that the CRPC team is going to put-in more efforts in placements in the coming few years so that our talented students get a smooth hike, right from the beginning of their careers. We are really pleased of our students for adding to our success, which is directly correlated to their success. Excellent outcomes for Excellent efforts by the Excellent team. Keep going.”

Go Global’ With KIET Group of Institutions: International Education Awareness Week

May 10, 2022: From April 25 to April 29, 2022, the KIET Group of Institutions' Department of Public Relations and International Relations hosted an International Education Awareness Week and Fair. The International Education Awareness Week began on January 25, 2022, in the auditorium of the KIET Group of Institutions, as an initiative led by Dr. Preeti Chitkara, Head PR & International Relations, to encourage students to travel worldwide and acquire exposure to education in other countries. Many distinguished speakers were asked to offer their knowledge on how to motivate students to study abroad. The event's major goal is to raise awareness about international opportunities in higher education, internships, and foreign languages by leading participants down the right route and emphasising the resources available to help them become global citizens.

It was a week-long International Education feast that covered topics such as why go global or think of internationalisation, why learn foreign languages and which ones to learn, how to prepare for international higher education, how to crack international internships, and the most important one-on-one interaction with representatives from foreign universities in the Education fair on the last day.

The fair was adorned by a plethora of foreign universities including Cape Breton University (CBU) Canada, University Of California, Riverside, National College of Ireland, Maynooth University, Ireland, Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, Prifysgol Aberystwyth University, Wales,  University of Wolverhampton, England, Middlesex University, London, University of Portsmouth, England, Keele University, England, La Trobe University, Australia, The University of Queensland, Australia and Deakin University, Australia. The counsellors for Education in USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia and others were also present to guide the students.

Finally, the students expressed gratitude to the consultants for providing them with information on the procedures and tests required to study abroad, as well as the numerous universities and destinations to which they can apply. The organisers, Dr Madhu Gautam and Ms Neelam Rawat, as well as Mr Vinay Ahlawat, Mr Sunil Vashishtha, KP Singh ji, Dr Babita Singh, Ms D Blandina Miracle, Mr Prashanth Vashishtha, Ms Garima, Ms Ankita, Mr Rochak Bajpai, Dr Minakshi Karwal, Mr Pravin Dixit, Mr Hemant, The student coordinators were the most important and active participants in putting the event together.

The fair was a huge success; it was extremely informative and rekindled the students' desire to study abroad. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience and an eye-opening week.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Secures 100% Placement With Multiple Offers

April 6, 2022: The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering announced their success of 100 percent placement with multiple offers for two consecutive batches- 2017-21 & 2018-22, which was the result of a constant effort. With the assistance of KIET-CRPC and the Departmental Placement Cell, all qualified 100 percent students from the department were placed in well-known firms, including the software and hardware industries. With this big and proud accomplishment, it has been demonstrated that the future of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is highly bright and steady. It is a wonderful and bright alternative for students who are dedicated to coding and programming while also being interested in inventions and their solutions. Automation and Robotics, Aero Space technology, Defence Research and Development Organization, signal processing, Automation and Control, Telecommunication, Electric Vehicles, Embedded system, Electronic components of computers and other tools, Industrial Controls, Network Equipment, Telecom Equipment, Medical Equipment, Radios are some of the fields in which Electrical and Electronics Engineers have already extended their strong arms and proved their prime presence. In general, the presence and demand for Electrical and Electronics Engineers is growing to satisfy the diverse needs of consumers in India and around the world.

Placements: In my course, more than 80% students get placed in good companies with a good package. In 2024, the highest package of this year is 40 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average package is 6-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, etc.

Good opportunities in 2024.

Placements: In my course, 95 percent of students are placed in good companies. The highest package is 50 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA, with the average being 6-7 LPA. Many seniors from my CS branch were recruited by TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, and many more companies. The top roles offered by companies are Software Developer and Backend Developer.

Overall, the college is good but you have to work on your own skills.

Placements: Almost 70% of students were placed last year. The average package is 4-5 Lacs per annum, the highest is 40 Lacs, and the lowest is 2-3 Lacs. Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Tata, HCL, etc. are the major companies for recruitment. 80% of students got internships, whether paid or unpaid. Software engineer, web developer, etc. are the top roles offered.

Good infrastructure and canteen of my college .

Placements: In my course, more than 85% of students are placed in good companies. The highest package in my course is 10 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 4 Lacs per annum, and the median package is 5 Lacs per annum. I think the above 8.5 CGPA gets good opportunities for internships and placements.

College is good because of good placements. Faculty are highly qualified.

Placements: 90% of students are placed in my branch, which is CSE (AI). This year, 92% of students were placed in many companies with an average package of 6 to 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my branch are Microsoft, Wipro, Teach Zemmine, and mass recruiting companies. Top roles are learning about AI and how to make AI. The highest package is 60 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA.

Review of KIET Group of Institutions.

Placements: Placement is not as good as previous years because there are many companies like hiring a single from KIET group institutions, and most of the companies offer only about 5.5 LPA package. Some companies are there, but they are not getting good company in campus.
