Most of the students opt for higher studies or prepare for civil services, but the college provides a good number of placements and internships for students.

LSR college review as a 1st-year student.
Placements: Yes, the placement of LSR is tremendous, with a student from the Economics department being offered 49 LPA, which was the highest in the whole of Delhi University. According to last year's placements, the average package stood at 11.8 LPA, and the median package stood at 9.4 LPA. Jobs were offered by top companies like McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, and Kepler Cannon.
Infrastructure: The new academic block has huge classrooms to accommodate around 60-75 students. Each classroom has a projector and whiteboards with well-ventilated windows. The classes for tutorials are quite small, and often students have to sit outside the class. The library is well-functioning as it provides almost all the books that the students need. The overall infrastructure is just like Delhi University, i.e., red walls. We also have a canteen and Nescafe, which has a huge menu. Yes, the college has a hostel, but it is not functional as of now.
Faculty: The faculty of LSR is quite knowledgeable, and they offer so much to the students. They are professional when it comes to studies, but they are helpful as well. They make time from their schedule to clear the doubts of students regarding studies or otherwise. All the faculty members have completed their graduation and post-graduation from well-known colleges in their fields. Most of the teachers who teach theory subjects teach through presentations. As for my course, i.e., BA (Hons.) Economics, the curriculum is curated in such a way that all the theory is based on real-life examples.
Other: The main reason why students choose LSR as their priority is academics. The campus is as still and peaceful as it could be. You can find any corner of the campus, and you will find no noise surrounding you. You will be there with the greenery and nature. Yes, the campus is filled with nature, greenery, and friendly animals.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and course but not campus life.
Placements: The placements are excellent, though they vary depending on the course. The Commerce and Economics departments have outstanding placement records, with packages ranging from 30-50 LPA. In comparison, Arts courses have slightly lower placements, but Political Science and English still offer impressive average packages of 20-40 LPA. Overall, it’s a very good college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, though hostels are not available. The library is excellent, and the Wi-Fi and internet connectivity are generally reliable, though there are occasional issues. However, the administrative office is poorly managed, with staff often rude and unhelpful, lacking proper information and frequently unavailable.
Faculty: The faculty across all departments is excellent, and the curriculum is well-structured. Students are highly focused on academics, creating a conducive environment for learning. Exams are conducted fairly and transparently. Teachers regularly administer tests and assignments, and the course structure is highly engaging.

A really wholesome experience.
Placements: The placements in this college are very decent, especially for students pursuing Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics Hons. This year, the average package stood at 10.5 lakh per annum, while the highest went up to 48.9 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, Bank of America, etc. Summer internships are really competitive in this college, where you may get different internship offers from the placement cell. Top roles offered can be data analyst, financial analyst, and consulting.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is way better than most colleges of DU, but many things are not available, like a proper sports complex or having AC in classrooms. Overall, the infrastructure is decent, with a library, canteen, administrative block, gazebos, Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms with working projectors.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and understanding, though you may find some not that helpful or nice, but overall you may find really amazing faculty. The curriculum decided by the University of Delhi is followed along with continuous assessment and internal assessments. The curriculum does help in making the students industry-ready only in case of practical subjects like maths, statistics, and commerce. Semester exams are tough, but the continuous exams are tougher when it comes to quizzes and tests.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in Economics, and the best things about my course are that it’s worth the hype and competition. The thing I would love to improve is removing the unnecessary burden of VAC and SEC since these skills don’t bring much value and take up a lot of time. The fest life here in the college is decent, though the events aren’t that nice.

Magic of Elsa, beauty with brains is the tag given to LSR students.
Placements: Placements are conducted once a year. LSR has received the highest salary package in DU. There is a defined process to enroll in placements. Opportunities are offered across all subjects. Many top companies participate in the hiring process. Around 40%-50% of students are placed from each batch.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good with accessibility for the disabled. There is a Wi-Fi connection for all. There is a library and a reference section for students to access resources. There is a canteen called Café, along with Nescafe and Mother dairy inside the college. Hostels are well-maintained and clean.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and experienced. They teach inclusively as per the requirements of students, such as for Hindi medium students, making classes informative. Tutorials are held, which are basically doubt classes with only 10-15 students.
Other: Many events are held in college. There are a lot of societies to participate in. Fests are the most fabulous part of college. The crowd is really good and inclusive.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women. The magic to our life.
Placements: Around 70% - 80% of students are placed in my course. The highest salary package is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my course are Deloitte, EY, Axis Bank, ZS Associates, Wipro, Teach for India, and many more. About 50%-70% of students got internships in various companies. Top roles include data analyst, business analyst, software developer, research analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my department are adequate, but the Wi-Fi network is poor sometimes. Classrooms are digital and equipped with projectors, with available seats and tables. Labs have more laptops than number of students, so there is no difficulty in accessing them. The library is also digital, making it easy for students to search for the books they need. This year, in 2024, the hostel is undergoing renovation and will be much better than previous years. Hostel facilities are good, and the quality of food is top-notch. The mess and canteen are super hygienic. Medical facilities are also good, with medical staff always available, and medicines are provided. LSR bathrooms also have pad vending machines, which is very convenient, especially because it is a women’s college. Sports and games are highly active, and all the essential equipment for sports and games is available. The playground and basketball court are quite big.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are all PhD degree holders from top institutions in our country. Teaching quality is excellent. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in the college depend on the student's level of hard work. If students are studying sincerely, it is quite easy, but if the student is not, it might be hard. The pass percentage is 63%.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about problem-solving and analyzing. The best thing about my course is the research opportunities. Everything is perfect, with no need for improvement. Events and fests are the best things at LSR. They are colorful and vibrant, bringing joy to both students and faculty. Surroundings are green and fresh, and it can also be termed a biological garden. Scholarships at LSR depend on the department and the type of scholarship they provide. Extracurricular activities are given separate time, which is very good. Extracurricular activities at LSR are very active, depending on the types of activities.

Maths H in LSR, yes or no?
Placements: Even though a select few students from the course get placed (not for paucity of opportunities but because of high competition), the placements offered are very high in value. We have the highest placement in all of Delhi University. The highest package offered overall, ever, is from my course (BlackStone, around 47 Lacs per annum). The lowest, of course, scales down to 6 Lacs packages. The average is around 10-11 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for my course are Blackrock, Blackstone, HUL, McKinsey, etc. We also get internship opportunities from the same companies, if not more. Top roles offered in my course are Business Analyst, Data Science Intern, etc.
Infrastructure: We do not have the best infrastructure. Our labs are too outdated to support any software better than Maxima (so no Matlab or Mathematics), and as an arts college, the Science courses do not receive much funding or the same opportunities. The quality of the food in the canteen is decent.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and dedicated to our learning. They are more than qualified for the post and know their subjects very well. With an especially tricky subject like Math, they are patient and hear us out if we need retests or assignments in internals and so on. The course curriculum can sometimes feel irrelevant for a person who wants to enter the finance world, but if you like Maths (which I do) and are happy with Economics as a minor, then the exams and the course as a whole are bearable. The semesters do get tougher as time goes on, but that is to be expected in a course like Maths.
Other: The fest is smaller compared to other colleges, but it's safe.
