    B.E./B.Tech at M.S. Engineering College - A Good Choice?

While there are mixed reviews about the college, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good Placement Record: About 40-50% of students get placed, with companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and HCL visiting the campus. The highest salary package offered is around 8 LPA.
    * Friendly Faculty: Many students praise the professors for being helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable.
    * Nice Campus: The college has a beautiful campus with modern infrastructure, including separate buildings for different branches.
    * Affordable Fees: The fees structure is considered reasonable.
    * Supportive Environment: Students appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and silent surroundings, making it conducive for studying.

    Cons:

    * Average Library: The library has a limited collection of books, which may not meet the needs of all students.
    * Poor Food Quality: The hostel mess food is considered average, and students often opt for outside food.
    * Limited Extra-Curricular Activities: While there are some small festivals and events, the college lacks a vibrant culture scene.
    * Some Departments Lag Behind: Some students reported that certain departments, especially non-core ones, received less attention and resources.

Overall, while M.S. Engineering College has its strengths and weaknesses, it seems to offer a decent education experience for those who prioritize academics and personal growth. However, students seeking a diverse range of extracurricular activities might find the college lacking in that regard.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at M.S. Engineering College?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum

    * Relevance: The course curriculum does not seem to be directly related to making students industry-ready, according to several reviewers. One reviewer mentioned that the curriculum includes "useless" subjects that make the course harder and less valuable.
    * Focus areas: While reviewers did mention some positive comments about their respective departments (e.g., mechanical and automobile), most felt that the curriculum could benefit from a greater focus on practical skills and industry-specific topics.
    * Teaching quality: Reviewers generally praised the teaching quality, citing helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable professors.
    * Subjects: The curriculum covers various subjects, but some reviewers felt that certain subjects were not particularly relevant to their chosen fields.

In summary, while the course curriculum at M.S. Engineering College may need improvement in terms of relevance and practical application, the teaching quality appears to be strong, and some students report finding certain subjects challenging or irrelevant.

    Not recommended for quality education.
Placements: No proper placements or placement guidelines. Poor facilities for industry training and job readiness. Better to opt for other great colleges out in Bangalore. Last year’s placements were few and numbered. Few known company VTU internships and other options.
Infrastructure: No proper facilities, just with minimum presence. No proper food or canteen facility. High cost, exploiting canteen with minimum items. Infrastructure inside a farm yard. No proper transportation, neither public transport nor the college bus facilities.
Faculty: No appropriate teaching and training. No appropriate lecturers. Department swaps faculty members for three to four different department subjects handling. No proper syllabus fulfillment; half the syllabus is covered, and the other is left for students’ self-studies.
Other: No proper campus, a village located on the outskirts of the city with no proper transportation facilities .

    Get into other better choices.
Placements: I don't think we got any placements done. No proper facilities. Few are only placed. No appropriate route map for placement training. Last year placements are nil. Previous year many have placements of 30 percent. Top recruiters are Infosys, TNSIF, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: It's a garden more than a college. You have a college inside in a village far from the main road. It's a college built within a mango farm. The transport system is not at all good. More problems are there in getting to college and returning back without proper facilities.
Faculty: No proper facilities. No faculty with appropriate department knowledge. Other department faculties are forced to teach you without their own preparation. Syllabus are only 40 percent covered. Rest of the syllabus, students do as seminar topics and read by themselves.
Other: Worst transport system. No extracurricular activities.

It's good; there is no problem in this college.
Placements: I am a student of MS Engineering College. There are only a few members placed in companies. The top recruiting company is Amazon, with an average package of 28 LPA and the lowest package being 2-3 LPA. The faculty is the best, the campus is very nice, and student behavior is also good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in terms of Wi-Fi, food, and facilities. Courses like Computer Science and Engineering, AI, ML, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and some other degrees like B.Com and BCA are also offered. Master’s degrees are available as well.
Faculty: The faculty is nice when it comes to teaching, and the exams conducted by the board are strict. They all have master’s degrees in their particular courses. The faculty, curriculum, and exams are well-organized, and the attendance requirement is reasonable.
Other: Overall, everything is best at a low fee if you choose this college. The principal, Ranaprata Reddy, is also a nice principal who responds to us at all times and ensures good facilities.

Infrastructure is good but placements are bad.
Placements: About 25% of students were placed. The highest package is 22 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. Google, Amazon, Infosys, L&T, Wipro, etc. are the top recruiters. About 70% of students were placed in companies including TCS, Amazon, L&T, Tata, and many others. I heard about from senior last year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, and the labs are equipped .However, the hostel is not that good; the food is poor, the Wi-Fi is slow, and no games or sports equipment are allowed. Hostels are a popular accommodation. Good option for travelers, especially those on a budget or looking for a social experience.
Faculty: The faculty are good and well-educated; they solve all your problems. As VTU is primarily theory-based, it may not make you industry-read, but the syllabus is covered well Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, and the labs are equipped. However, the hostel is not that good; the food is poor, the Wi-Fi is slow, and no games or sports equipment are allowed. Hostels are a popular accommodation .

Campus placement is not so good, but education and campus facilities are good.
Placements: 23 LPA is the highest package I heard about from seniors last year. About 70% of students were placed. Companies include TCS, Amazon, L&T, and many others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, and the labs are equipped. Hostels are a popular accommodation option for travelers, especially those on a budget or looking for a social experience. They offer shared living spaces, like dormitories, and often have communal kitchens and lounges.

    Affordable courses at affordable fees.
Placements: The percentage of getting placed in this college is 70%. The highest package was 10 lacs per annum. The lowest was 50000 per annum. The average package offered is 3 to 4 lacs per annum. Some of the huge companies like Google, Amazon, Infosys, etc. recruit. Almost 70% of students got internships in companies mentioned above.
Infrastructure: This college has three blocks. The main block is for students who are studying in their second year and above. R and D block is for degree and first-year students. It has a beautiful, greenery-filled garden, which is very peaceful for students to study without any disturbance. The library has every book that is needed for courses. Labs are good, and some computers need to be changed. Canteen is not too good. Food doesn't taste so good. It doesn't have many varieties to eat. Sports has been started since this year, and many sports events go on.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very well experienced, but some of them are not. Mathematics is not up to the mark. Not every teacher, but some of the teachers are friendly with students. Some teachers target the students and don't let them get good internal marks. The pass percentage from this college is 75 to 80%.
Other: I researched this course everywhere for affordable fees, but I found it here. The only problem is the teachers aren't well experienced in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Events and fests go on once per month. 50% of fees will be given as scholarships if you score above 9 CGPA.
