Commonly asked questions
On JEE Main Cutoffs

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Happy school life in college with all courses and great faculty.
Placements: I saw the report today itself. In 2022, the number of students placed was 571. In 2023, this number decreased to 563 with 721 job offers, and in 2024, this number reduced to 421. This shows a sudden decline in the placement rate year to year, and the highest package is also on a reducing scale.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is pretty decent. There are no Wi-Fi facilities in the classrooms or even in the college. Wi-Fi is only provided in the library. The infrastructure is more like a school with double-seat benches. Overall, facilities are decent, like clean water and toilets. There are no smart boards, only green boards. There is a small library in the college.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. They are very helpful and always supportive. Some teachers just study the notes, but some teachers teach excellently, like (Electrical Science, Physics). As this college is under GGSIPU, exams are conducted by the authority, and exam centers are allotted to conduct the exam fairly.
Other: In this college, in the first year, all subjects are taught. There are proper labs with working instruments and special faculty for the labs. There are different batches, for example, the morning batch and evening batch. The course is overall good. But the college life in this college is negligible as there are no events and no fresher's party. Even the seniors are a little less interactive. It is a small campus of about 8 acres.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology - True Review by Alumni
Placements: Placement is nice. Average salary is 3.5 LPA. Companies like IBM, WIPRO, TCS NQT, Hashdin, and ZS are among the few companies that give excellent packages plus bonuses of 11 LPA. Placement is the only reason why anyone takes admission in this campus.
Infrastructure: The college is located at the prime location of the Janakpuri East metro station and well connected by metro and bus. The C2B bus stand near the college makes it connected to all parts of Delhi through buses. The college has a decent playground, the same old-school classrooms, and one library.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and eager to contribute to the life of students and make some impact on student life. The course curriculum is not much hectic, and one student needs to study one night before the exam to get decent marks and obtain more than 9 CGPA and improve their coding skills through YouTube.

Less fees and decent placement.
Placements: Around 90 percent of the students were placed in 2020-2024 batch. Placements were decent in time of global recession. Highest package was around 52 LPA and lowest was 3.5 LPA. Average would be around 5-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS and HCL. Mostly CSE and ECE branches were preferred for software developer role. Many students got internships also but data is not disclosed.
Infrastructure: For my course which is ECE labs are decent but equipments in some of the labs are not in working conditions. WiFi connectivity is also slow and classrooms are just basic, not so good. Hostels are below average. But mess food is quite good. And library is also quite decent. Medical facilities are not known.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. But lab assistants are not so good. Teachers also help before exam providing suitable theory and learning material for exams. They also provide a pdf of some books helping in theory section. Difficulty level of exams are quite good. It will check all your theory and practical skills.
Other: Fees that you pay for this college will be very low and knowledge you get is good. So it is a quite value for money. Placements are decent you have to prove yourself in the placement. Crowd is also decent since it is located in Delhi. Events are below average. It is near metro station around 1km so connectivity is also good. But there are no extracurricular activities. Campus surrounding is also good. A big park is also there and there is a police station also near the campus. But campus area is small around 8 acres.

Amazing place to study in Delhi.
Placements: The placement rate in our college was nearly above 80%. As a placement occurred till now, the highest package offered was 46 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, Flipkart, Microsoft, and Adobe. Around 20 to 25% of students get good internships, both paid and unpaid. The highest paid internship was a stipend of 1.25 Lacs per month for six months, received by two students. The top roles offered are web developer, software developer, data analytics engineer, and also management and sales roles.
Infrastructure: Our college and our department of engineering have six floors. All the classrooms are air-conditioned, as well as they have digital projectors for digital learning. Our labs have all facilities with respective equipment required. The library is very large; a lot of books are there. You can access the library from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hostels are good as per expectations and need some improvements, but they can be ignored. The rooms are double occupancy, whereas a single occupancy contains a table, chair, and bed. The washrooms are clean. The canteen facility is good; clean and tasty food is provided. Nearly all outdoor common sports are available in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are very educated and are from top NITs and IITs of India. They have a lot of experience. The teaching quality is very good. They prefer to give proper time to important topics. The course curriculum is relevant and makes industry-ready students. The semester exams are of medium difficulty. If you study before one month of the exam, you can score well. With proper time to the respective subject, you can also score above 90%, as good students used to do.

MSIT college review by MSIT student.
Placements: The placement of MSIT is average, not too good. But at the end you can grab placement of low packages with less effort. The highest placement of MSIT is 1.7 crore, which is off campus. In placements, generally, most of the time, TCS, Infosys, and IBM visit to give placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is outdated. There is a need to improve the infrastructure of the campus. Wi-Fi is also available in both campus and hostel. Hostels are very small; only 200 students can stay in a hostel. The library is also available on campus. The campus is a little small. You can feel like school.
Faculty: The faculty of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is good. The way of professors to teach students is very good. They are very supportive. They are helping every single student to get their placements. Exams are conducted by the IPU main campus, which is located in DWARKA.
Other: Yes, there is a campus crowd, due to the students of MSI. Connectivity is decent. You can easily take a rickshaw to reach the metro station. Scholarships are available for AICTE students.

Review of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placement is just fine at this college; not that good, not that bad either. Every year, around 60% of the students in my course get placements, out of which half already secure internships in their fields, but the rest struggle to find jobs. So overall, the placement is just fine.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and campus of the college are worth appreciating. Although the campus is a bit small, it includes all the necessary facilities: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a library, and computer labs. I never lived in the college hostel, but they seem to be quite good too. The rooms are spacious enough for two students and their belongings.
Faculty: The teachers are not very qualified; not all of them are postgraduates, yet they manage to teach us well here. To be honest, the teachers are not so good. They can be rude, often unable to answer many of our questions, sometimes late for class, and what they teach, though within the syllabus, is very difficult to understand. The exams they set are so difficult that the pass percentage here is also 40%.
Other: I chose this college because the fees were lower compared to other larger colleges.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology offers better placements than Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology. Some reviews on our site indicate a higher average package and a more relaxed atmosphere at MAIT, while MSIT might have a stronger reputation for overall placement success rate.
