B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2024
4.2
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure and faculty, decent placements, but average hostel facilities.
Placements: For my batch, which is a B.Tech in the computer science and engineering course, around 65-70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is approximately 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is about 5 LPA - 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our computer science and engineering course is well-equipped with Wi-Fi, multiple computer labs, and smart classrooms that enhance the learning environment. The library is spacious and stocked with a good selection of books and journals related to the course. Regarding hostel facilities, rooms are fairly comfortable with basic amenities, though the Wi-Fi speed could be consistent at times. The mess food is average, offering a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, though the variety and taste could have been improved. The canteen provides snacks and beverages. The hostel also has a medical room for basic health services. For sports, there are playgrounds for football and cricket, along with a gym and indoor games facilities like table tennis and carrom.
Faculty: Faculty members for the computer science and engineering course are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Most teachers hold postgraduate or doctorate degrees. They are helpful and approachable, especially during project work and doubt sessions. The teaching quality is good, although it varies depending on the professor. The curriculum is fairly relevant to industry needs. It covers core topics like data structures, algorithms, and web technologies. However, there is room for improvement to include more practical and industry-specific content. Exams are moderately difficult, focusing mostly on theoretical concepts with some practical application. The pass percentage is typically around 85-90%, depending on the subject.

Infrastructure and faculty are good.
Placements: There are average placement in this college. Mostly placement are in CSE. SD roles are offered in my course. 40% of students got internship. Wipro is the top recruiting company in my college. Almost students get placement in my college, there's good placement .
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. In labs every facility is available. Faculty members are very helpful, they will help you in every situation no matter what the situation is, they try their best to help you. Faculty have good knowledge they teach you well. Wi-Fi is also available in labs and other areas .
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. The semester exam in the college is very stuff. You need to get 28 marks to pass in every paper and if you get any supply in any paper you will not able to clear it easily. Its very difficult to clear the supply so you need to study well.
Other: This college is famous for CSE not for any other branches .

Good infrastructure and facilities with average packages.
Placements: Placements are not that good at our college. Almost 30% of students got placed this year in my course. The highest package was 10 LPA, the medium was 4 LPA, and the lowest was around 1.5 LPA. Recruiting companies were Thinknext, Infotech, Infosys, etc., which provided mass recruitment. No on-campus internship is available here; students join different internships by searching off-campus. Many students sit for IELTS and move to foreign countries. A number of students went to Canada after taking this exam.
Infrastructure: I somehow like the infrastructure of this college; it's pretty good among the third-tier colleges. It has Wi-Fi in the library, labs and even the hostel. The IT department is so good here; we have a disciplined and supportive HOD who helps with our placements, internships and academics. I have to say the hostel and mess facilities are very good here. The quality of the food is superb and healthy but it is a bit oily. Medical facilities are also good; they will always be available in any emergency. Sports facilities are above average; anyone can play the games they like. We have a variety of game facilities here.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are Ph.D. holders and have a good knowledge of curriculum. Some teachers might have good knowledge of the subject but have low delivery quality; others are nice. This course is very relevant and will make students industry-ready in different IT sector companies through its projects and training. Semesters aren't that difficult and can be passed with good CGPA with being little bit serious in studies, PTU provides key notes to help the students but it does a bit hard checking. The passing percentage is 40% or above.
Other: I chose this course because I have a pretty strong interest in coding and software technologies. The best thing about this course is that students are free to invest their time in any internship or project without worrying about attendance criteria, as our HOD is very supportive and helps students so much. But in other courses, 75% attendance is needed. Students get scholarships on the basis of their marks during admission. Fest, events, and extracurricular activities are okay. Overall, it is a good college if anyone is looking for a third-tier college (and doesn't have any chance in good colleges), provided he/she is a self-made and hardworking student.

Teachers are great. They are mostly qualified. Campus life is good.
Placements: 75% of the students were placed in my course. 2 LPA is the lowest, and 4 LPA is the average package offered in my course. Amazon, Wipro, etc. are recruiting companies for my course. 80–90% of students got internships from my course. Many top companies are coming to our college.
Infrastructure: The college ensures that every classroom is fine. Separate hostels for boys and girls. They provided single-seater, double-seater, and four-seater rooms. They have cooperated. The hostel staff is also good and supportive. Our college has a fully wi-fi campus.
Faculty: They are student-friendly and clear up any doubts whenever we approach them. The way of teaching is always best in our college; our professors make students industry-ready. This is the best college I have ever seen, with the best faculty members available.
Other: I chose the Bachelor of Computer Applications because I want to go into the IT field.

Poor placement and culture .
Placements: Less then 10% campus placement. Most of the seniors took off campus placements but are placed in good companies. Only local companies approaches. The highest package last year was approximately 9 LPA and least package was 4-5 LPA but there too are students who get better then this although this year there was such students because of online classes.
Infrastructure: Building is quite old. Tiles often fall on students are injure there no such things as management. Located in a village. Local students eare quite narrow minded. No Wi-Fi available even in senior building even the fans do not work. AC works only in professors cabin. Library is small only few chairs available. Quite crowded specially in exam times.
Faculty: Professors are average. Not too bad but far less knowledgeable. Exams are quite easy also subjects are as simple as any other universities and questions comes straight forward. There is no such events as fests etc. If you afford better college go for it. In last three years only seen akhand path, or talent hunt which too is not technical.

If you have financial problem or want a degree from Govt Engineering college, then come here.
Placements: 20% students got placed in campus placement. Most of the seniors are trying for off-campus placement. No big MNC companies come here. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Infotech come here. Also, a huge number of students are trying to clear exams like GATE, CAT, and IELTS for higher studies. Recently, the highest package is 14 LPA and the lowest is 1.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The labs are quite neat and clean. Also, the library is nice. We have plenty of books there. So we don't need to buy extra books. There is air conditioning in both labs and libraries .Class rooms are non-ac, but clean. Hostel life is total fun. No raging and drug culture here. The whole hostel is covered in WiFi. We get vegetarian foods here and the quality of the foods is also great.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good.We don't have that much of pressure. All the teachers are very friendly and helpful. My course Btech in IT is quite curriculum-relevant; I learnt a lot here. Semester exam is unpredictable; the results are in hand of IKGPTU (University); sometimes it felt like getting lesser marks.
Other: Actually, I am passionate about information technology, so I took this course. But at last, I want to say that the college is quite boring. Nothing much to do here. No place to visit nearby. Don't have any fest. Clubs are not that active . We have sports here also but not that much competitive and once you have a backlog, your scholarship is gone until you clear it.
