Special Scholarship Scheme for the North-East students to pursue PGDM
It is envisaged to provide 10 scholarships (20% waiver of tuition fee) every year for pursuing 2 year full-time PGDM.
Eligibility:
a) Applicant should have a domicile in the North Eastern Region.
b) Applicant should have completed Class 10th & 12th from any recognized school/ college/ institution in the North–Eastern Region.
c) Applicant must have at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.
d) Applicant must have minimum 3 years Bachelor degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any university.
e) The annual income of the parents of the applicant should not exceed INR 8.0 lakhs.
Note: The income slab is linked with the Govt. policy on EWS (economically weaker section) / non-creamy layer of OBC, wherein the benefits are extended to persons with family income below INR 8.0 lakhs per annum.
Amount of Scholarship:
- An amount of INR 8500/- per month [equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee of two years] will be given for max. 21 months in the entire duration of PGDM and the rate of scholarship is linked with his/her performance in PGDM term examinations.
- In case of securing 7.0 - 8.5 CGPA in any term, the rate of scholarship for the subsequent term will be enhanced to INR 10,600/- p.m. (equivalent to 25% of tuition fees of two years). Similarly, in case of securing more than 8.5 CGPA, the rate of scholarship for the subsequent term will be enhanced to INR 12,750/- p.m. (equivalent to 30% of tuition fees of two years).
- In case of poor performance, i.e. securing less than 6.0 CGPA in any term, there will be no scholarship in the subsequent term. However, once securing 6.0 or more CGPA, the scholarship will be restored in the subsequent term.
- The scholarship scheme is limited to 10 students.
Note: The scholarship amount is linked with the tuition fee. Thus, with any revision of tuition fee, the scholarship amount will revise proportionately.
Freeship Scheme for the North-East students to pursue PGDM
It is envisaged to provide 5 Freeship (100% waiver of tuition fee) for pursuing 2 year full-time PGDM.
Eligibility:
a) Applicant should have a domicile in the North Eastern Region.
b) Applicant should have completed Class 10th & 12th from any recognized school/ college/ institution in the North–Eastern Region.
c) Applicant must have at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.
d) Applicant must have minimum 3 years Bachelor degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any university.
e) The annual income of the parents of the applicant should not exceed INR 8.0 lakhs.
Note: The income slab is linked with the Govt. policy on EWS (economically weaker section) / non-creamy layer of OBC, wherein the benefits are extended to persons with family income below INR 8.0 lakhs per annum.
Amount of Freeship:
- Each Freeship awardee will get 100% waiver of tuition fee which is equivalent to INR 8,92,000/- for 2 years PGDM.
- To continue the freeship, the awardee is required to maintain at least 6.0 CGPA in each term. In case of poor performance, i.e. securing less than 6.0 CGPA in any term, there will be no freeship in the subsequent term. However, once securing 6.0 or more CGPA, the freeship will be restored in the subsequent term.
- The Freeship scheme is limited to 3 nos. female students and 2 nos. male students. In case of any shortfall in requisite male students, the same will be filled from the available female students.
Note: The scholarship amount is linked with the tuition fee. Thus, with any revision of tuition fee, the scholarship amount will revise proportionately.
The awardees will be selected based on CAT percentile. From the admitted students, the top 3 female and 2 male eligible students will be selected for freeship. In case of a tie, the 12th % will be the deciding criteria.
