Manipal Institute of Technology Courses & Fees 2024: Admission Dates, Fee, Seats, Selection Criteria

Manipal University's Department of Manipal Institute of Technology offers a four-year BTech course. Those who are seeking admission to BTech course are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria as per the course requirements. Candidates who passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or any technical vocational subject are eligible to apply for this course. They must have obtained 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and any other optional subject in combinations. This is a mandatory step to qualify for all the General Category Indian aspirants for MIT Manipal BTech admissions. 

Manipal Institute of Technology accepts admission toM.Techthrough an entrance exam, i.e., Manipal Entrance Exam (MET) followed by counseling. This entrance is conducted in three phases. To apply for this course, candidates must fulfil the basic eligibilty criteria. Those who passed graduation in BTech with minimum 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for this course. Additionally, candidates whp applies via GATE score are given weightage than other candidates. The final selection toM.Techis done through the past academic performance and scores obtained in the respective entrance exam. At last, the selected students will be allocated seats as per the counselling process conducted at the institute. 

Usually the Karnataka PGCET admit card is released 10 days before the exam, as per the past year trends. Similar trend has been seen for Karnataka PGCET 2023 hall ticket download. Candidates have been allowed to download the hall ticket of PGCET 2023 from September 13. The exam was held on September 23 and 24.

To download the Karntaka PGCET 2023 admit card candidates had to use Karnataka PGCET registration number and their four initial letters of the name. Candidates were able to check details like their name, Karnatka PGCET 2023 roll number, father’s name, photograph, signature, exam date and time, exam venue with complete address, and the Karnataka PGCET exam day instructions.

Manipal Institute of Technology, also known as MIT Manipal currently offers UG & PG courses in the stream of Engineering and Computer Applications. These courses are BTech, MTech and MCA. All the courses at MIT Manipal are offered under several specialisations. Admissions to all the programmes are conducted under the guidance of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The Institute conducts a Manipal Entrance Test MET in three phases every year for admission to all its UG & PG courses, except for MCA. In addition to this, it also accepts GATE scores for MTech programme.

The highest package offered during 2023 placements was INR 54.75 LPA, whereas in 2022 the highest package stood at INR 44 LPA. Manipal Institute of Technology offers MCA course with IT and Software specialisations. The applications is on-going and the last date to apply for the same is May 15. The selection criteria for the programme is merit-based. However, the candidate have to complete Class 12 passed BCA / BSc (Computer Science / IT)/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree. The other option would be, the candidate should pass BSc / BCom/ BA from a recognised university with Mathematics at Class 12 or Graduation Level with at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Karnataka PGCET exam is conducted once every year. The exam score is valid for one exam session only. Karnataka PGCET is an offline exam with as many as 100 MCQs to be answered within 150 minutes.  Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is administered annually by Karnataka Examination Authority. Karnataka PGCET acts as the gateway exam for admission into PG courses, including MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech. and M.Arch in the state of Karnataka.
