Placements: Placements were pretty good. They were almost 100% for the Computer Science branch. The highest package was 24 LPA CTC, the average was 4.4 LPA and lowest was 3.3 LPA. Developers, consultant, analysts. In computer science, almost 60% got internships with a stipend ranging from 10K to 30K. Companies like Microsoft, Cisco, Deloitte, Oracle, Amazon, Citrix and Mu Sigma were top recruiters.
Placements: The placements of my senior batch were good. Nearly 60% got placed in the core mechanical companies. The highest package was nearly 6.5 lakhs per annum and the lowest was 3.2 lakhs per annum. AThe aerage package was around 5 lakhs per annum. Maximum companies offered the role of Graduate Trainee Engineer. The companies are Hero Motor Corp, Daimler, Mahindra, L&T, Jacobs, Honda CE, General Electric, General Motors, Reliance, Vedanta etc. Many students also got placed in analysis companies like Go...
Placements: Placements for the IT department of Manipal Institute of Technology are 100%. Salaries vary and go up to 11 LPA, with the average salary being around 4.3-4.5 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, McKinsey are some of the top firms that come to Manipal Institute Of Technology for placements. Mostly technical - based roles are offered to IT students. Although, a few placement offers from sales and marketing are also up for grabs. The top 10% from the batch get offered an internship f...
Placements: The placements in the branches like Computer Science (CSE), Information Technology (IT) and Computer and Communication (CCE) is really good. All the seniors that I know of are placed and that too in very reputable and well established companies. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Sandisk, HP come every year to offer full time placements as well as 6 month internships. Most students are offered Software Engineer jobs in these companies with average package ranging from the lowest of...
Placements: Last time, the placement was good but this year, it is below average for my branch as still there is no student placed in the core companies. This year, the highest package offered is 6 LPA and the lowest is 3.25 LPA. Around 60% students get the offers and a lot of companies visited for my branch which include Mahindra, Mercedes, TCS, Think and Learn, KPMG, Mu Sigma and L&T. A few more core companies will visit next semester. It is tough to tell the exact data for internships as it will be provi...
Manipal University is the best place for the overall development of any person as it provides enough opportunities in all the areas which include cultural, sports and education. It also has a specific cell called MUTBI, which encourages students to come up with new ideas, which is rare to find in the private colleges of India.
Infrastructure – The campus has all the facilities available, like a good library, hostel, canteen and sports equipment. The place itself is brilliant. Placements – Placements are below average. The number of students who got placed on campus from our batch was 6 out of 28 students. There were hardly any company that came and some companies that came were IGATE, Skanray (for internship and then the students got absorbed). To get absorbed in Phillips after the internship is really difficult and...
Pros: 1. The crowd at the campus is great. You will get to learn a lot from them. You have people from various parts of the country, which is a great mix of various cultures. 2. The facilities are top notch and you get to learn a lot. 3. The hostel facilities are good and the food is hygienic. Cons: 1. The fee is very high. 2. The faculty is below average. Self-studies are a must in this college. 3. The college is very strict with attendance.
I can say it's one of the reputed private colleges in the India. The campus provides an awesome range of facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness, on par with the best in the India (Marena). The faculty members have expertise in their subjects (for PG all members are Ph.D. holders). Good placement record in core EC and CS branches, as compared to other departments. There are very nice places to visit nearby, and awesome cultural events and festival celebrations in the campus.
It teaches you much more than just what is supposed to be learnt in classrooms. Manipal will become your second home very soon. Not only do you learn to become independent but also you learn to appreciate various different cultures and soon enough it becomes a way of life for you.
The college faculty has a lot of inbreeding. The syllabus is outdated. It has a good infrastructure when compared nationally. No original research is done. Marks oriented teaching is done although it's the same in the whole country. This needs to change. University encourages student’s projects but it's a tedious process to get funds and contacts.
It's an infinite ocean of opportunities if you have the will and the interest to do something, be it curricular or extracurricular. The faculty has lots of projects for undergraduate students, one just needs to approach them. We have some of the nation's best student projects like Parikshit Satellite, Formula Manipal and student clubs like Aero MIT, RoboManipal, Akshay Urja and many more. Every branch has its own club. Students also get a chance to be a part of National Cadet Corps and Internati...
The college has a great campus and infrastructure. There are many opportunities to learn outside the classroom. Unlike other engineering colleges, there is an emphasis on holistic development. It helped develop not just technical but also social and people skills. There are students from all over the country and there is a diverse campus life. Great hostels with the comfort of home. It is a great town to experience the fun side of college life with numerous options for restaurants etc.
Manipal is a small town, run by the university's administration. With 20+ colleges located in a 5km radius, Manipal is filled with students from all corners of the country. Diversity in terms of culture, language and food are noticeable at every corner of Manipal. Given the cosmopolitan nature of this town, there's still the unique feeling of being a Manipalite. You'll become accustomed to measuring distance in auto fares, skip breakfasts and celebrate every occasion with your friends. You'll...
The faculty members are great and the infrastructure is superb. The campus life is superb and teaches you a lot about life. It is a very good life building experience. The college has a Great cosmopolitan atmosphere. Infrastructure is superb with state of the art hostels, amazing food courts, swimming pools, gyms and really good restaurants and lounges.
The facilities are amazing, the only thing is that sometimes the affordability goes out of hand. Every year there is an increase in the fees of something or the other. Faculty members depend on the branch you are in, but if you take things into your hands and work hard there are a lot of opportunities you can take advantage of. Clubs here are very useful in giving exposure. The college sometimes takes a lot of strings to get things done, otherwise this is a good institution.
It is a very good college with one of the best infrastructure. The best part about MIT MANIPAL is that its very multi-cultural as there are people from almost every part of the country along with NRI students. It is probably one of the most lively colleges of the country too. There are some clubs here that offer you an opportunity to go abroad for foreign internships, and the campus placement is also good here. Overall, it is a very good college to spend your college life and I can assure you th...
Manipal Institute of Technology is a good college as well as a brand. It has good ranking in India. The atmosphere and infrastructure are excellent. It has its own life. Has a good set of faculty members, who are always trying to help students to learn well. A good culture also persists there. It has splendid hostels and food facility. The placements are also good.
The best 4 years of my life. This place has a lot to offer and I can guarantee that when you pass out, you will be a new leaf, a completely different person overall. The infrastructure is awesome, the faculty is more than helpful. But the best part of the college is the crowd and people here. People from all over the country come here, from different backgrounds and cultures, so if you are a person who likes to socialize, Manipal is the place for you.
The students and Manipal as a town are awesome. Manipal is a perfect blend of big city perks in a small town. It is the best of both worlds. Facilities provided by the college are top notch and help in the all-round development of the students. Placements here are at par with its peer institutes. The faculty is pretty average and there is nothing great about that. To sum it up, Manipal is a bit expensive but the experience is worth it; both in and out of the classrooms.
