B.Ed. Social Science has strong placements, excellent faculty, and modern infrastructure.
Placements: In the B.Ed. in Social Science courses, around 75%-80% of the students from the previous batches were successfully placed in teaching positions across various schools. The highest salary package offered was INR 5 LPA, while the lowest package was approximately INR 2 LPA. On average, most students received around INR 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting schools included renowned institutions like Kendriya Vidyalayas and private international schools. Around 60% of students secured internships in prominent schools, offering positions like assistant teachers and curriculum developers. The top roles offered in the course included Science Teachers, Curriculum Planners, and Educational Researchers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Mar Theophilus Training College is commendable, with Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a well-stocked library, and spacious lecture halls. The college has modern teaching aids and a computer lab equipped with the necessary resources. Hostel facilities are comfortable, offering clean rooms and 24/7 medical services. The mess food is nutritious and hygienic, catering to diverse dietary needs. Sports facilities for volleyball, basketball, and indoor games are also provided, encouraging students to stay physically active.
Faculty: The faculty members are experienced and well-qualified, with most professors holding M.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees in Education. They are approachable and provide practical insights, which makes the curriculum relevant to modern educational trends. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the teaching professions by combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Exams are moderately challenging but manageable with thorough preparation, and the pass percentage is around 90%, thanks to the excellent support provided by the faculty.

Review of Mar Theophilus Training College.
Placements: Out of all the students in our course, 30% were able to secure a job placement. Among those who got placed, 60% preferred government positions, while the remaining 40% chose to work in private companies. The highest salary offered was Rs. 6LPA, the lowest was Rs. 1.2LPA, and the average salary stood at Rs. 2.4LPA. This data illustrates both the overall placement rate and the distribution of job preference among successful candidates.
Infrastructure: The dormitory provides essential amenities at a reasonable cost compared to other college accommodations. Both the living space and the surroundings are well-maintained and hygienic. Although dining choices are somewhat limited, occasional menu updates are implemented to introduce variety and maintain meal interest.
Faculty: Attaining a passing grade wasn't overly challenging, yet I must admit that I did not find the teaching approach engaging. The classes often seemed uninspiring, lacking the level of interaction expected in a Masters-level course. Additionally, the program seemed unprepared to meet the demands of the real-world industry.

Overall, the best college for the B.Ed. course.
Placements: The referral rate is around a reasonable 76%, with reputed schools, educational institutions, and NGOs like BYJUS, TCS, Genpact, and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank involved. Internship opportunities are also available. The highest package is 10 LPA, while the lowest is 2 LPA, with the average package being 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are good. The Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are satisfactory, but the medical facilities, library, and sports equipment are lacking. The hostel rooms are good, and the quality of the food in the restaurant is nice. I have never encountered any issues with the infrastructure.
Faculty: All instructors are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, and the curriculum prepares students for employment. If you study every day, you can easily keep up with tests in a semester. The passing percentage is good, and teachers provide us with many textbooks. The cutoff percentage is 75%.
