The MET Institute of Mass Media (also known as MET), was founded as a private institute in 2005 by KV Shridhar (often known as Pops) under the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET), a professionally managed, multi-disciplinary and multi-faceted oasis of knowledge. MET IMM is a constituent of the MET League of Colleges with 21 sister institutes housed in state of the art campuses located in Mumbai and Nashik.
The institute is currently affiliated with the University of Mumbai and has since been recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education and the C-DAC - Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It has also been approved by the AICTE, MSBTE, Pharmacy Council of India, and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London with an ISO 9001:2015 certification.
