Design Aptitude Test
Eligible candidates need to appear for the MIT Institute of Design-Design Aptitude Test (MITID DAT) conducted by the institute. NRI, PIO, OCI, FN and International students are exempted from (MITID DAT).
Studio Test and Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for studio test and personal interview based on the score obtained in MIT Institute of Design-Design Aptitude Test (MITID DAT). NRI, PIO, OCI, FN and International students will be called a portfolio review and interview. The portfolio review and interview will be conducted through video conferencing.
Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on MIT Institute of Design-Design Aptitude Test (MITID DAT) and performance in studio test & personal interview. For NRI, PIO, OCI, FN and International students: Admission is based on the portfolio review and interview. Weightages- Design Aptitude Test- 25% Studio Test- 25% Personal Interview- 50%

Design life in Maharashtra.

Placements: In Design, the college placements aren't like the rest of the colleges, and in a course like a film and a video, most of the students aim towards an independent career. Here in MIT, the placements for film and video are rarely picked as most of the students start freelance work and build up the connection which ultimately leads them to a job.

Infrastructure: MIT Institute of design has a subtle academic block with all the facilities in the same building including workshops, computer lab, Wacom lab, clay studio for transport design, etc. The college building is situated on the university campus where all the sports, games and food facilities are available.

Faculty: Being a design college over all the faculty gives our freedom and space. But like any other place the students face issues with the faculty regarding work. Visiting faculty members who are eminent in this field comes to take workshops. Here its more of work and less of class and depending on the work you can set up your workplace in the college with the atmosphere you want.

Other: Overall the college experience helps a lot in both work and normal life. The college atmosphere inspires us to work. Four years in this college could change anyone's life, and in a place like Pune, you could achieve your goals if you work hard.
