Yes, Diploma is available in MIT Institute of Design Pune. The Institute offers PG Diploma specialisation in Automative Clay & Digital Sclupting and Innovation. PG Diploma in Innovation is a 12 months duration course and Automative Clay & Digital Sclupting is a 24 months duration course. The fee for PG Diploma is around INR 4.90 Lacs (Tuition fee) as per the fee released by the Institution for the year 2023. MITID DAT exam is conducted in both online and offline modes. Phase 1 of MITID DAT is held in online mode as a computer-based test and Phase-2 of the exam is to be attempted on a sheet provided inside the exam hall.

Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BDes programs at MIT Institute of Design:

* Limited placement options: According to some students, the fashion department had limited placement options for final-year students, with many students having to fend for themselves after graduation.

* Efforts made for internships: However, the college did make efforts to provide students with good internship opportunities, although most students ended up landing their jobs and internships through their own connections.

No, in my knowledge there is no other way of entering the institute without giving the MIT DAT exams.

MDes is the Postdergrauate level flagship programme offered by the MIT Institute of Design. MDes is offered in various specialisation. MDes admission process includes university level entrance exam i.e. MIT DAT (Design Aptitute test). First step is to complete the eligble criteria (Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design) next filling the application form of MIT DAT and scoring a minimum required score in the test. And finally appearing for the Studio test and the personal interview, which finalises the selection process of the course.
