Placements: Our college has a separate placement cell and is of no use, not many companies come to our college, as it was mentioned in the brochure and website. But still I would give it a 4 out of 10 for placements in our campus. And about the highest package it's 2.4 lac/annum.
Placements: Every year, hundreds of students got placed from our college. But from information technology, not more than five students were placed till now. The companies like HP, Cyber, Infosys, IBM, etc. come every year to our college. The students getting percentage above 60 have their chances to get placed. But the communication skills are there. All is dependent on communication skills. If they have good communication skills, they have more chances to get selected and placed in a good company. Every ye...
Placements: I am still studying. Hope to get placed. But, as learning from seniors, the placements are really good and as well said that "deserved student make their way". Companies visit for placements, and students get a lot of chances to show their knowledge and dedication to work.
Placements: The college had negligible chances of getting placed. Only 4-5 students get placement, and out of this, 4 students are from computer science engineering, and hardly a single student from ECE got placement. The average salary offered was 2.5 lacs per annum. There is no placement cell.
Placements: The placements on the campus are not good. Only, 25 to 30 students overall got placed from a 2013-2017 batch, and less than these numbers got placed in the previous years. Only 3 to 4 companies visited the campus last year. The placement and a training wing is too weak. They can improve so that the students can make themselves get hired off-campus as well.
Placements: The institute provides ample amount of placement as well as internship opportunities to students. MIET has signed international MOU with the University of Missouri, Kansas City, and the USA where my two colleagues Adhirath Kapoor and Nitin Bhandari are already pursuing their masters in fields like networking and database management system. Most of our seniors got placed in companies like Google, etc.
Placements: It's the job of the college to bring the companies in the college, and our college does this job efficiently. Our college is affiliated with Jammu University, and its collaboration is with IBM, so we get the maximum chances of getting a good job during our academics.
Placements: At our time, few companies visited our college to recruit us and senior students. The highest salary that was offered to us in college placements was 3.4lpa. The lowest package offered was 1.8lpa. The roles were of junior associates with Unix knowledge. We have a placement cell in MIET. At our times, that was not efficient. But now, we are seeing many students are getting the good jobs.
Placements: Two companies visited for the campus placement. The college should have hired more companies. They try, but there is lack of firms in Jammu. Some companies never arrived on campus even when the faculty told us that they would come. They should focus on grooming the students for interview and technical interview because the environment is not like that.
Placements: The placements for the last year batch are quite low than the batch before that, it is because of the prevailing instabilities in the industries, as my seniors told me. The lowest pay is 2.5 lacs per annum, and the highest pay is 21 lacs per annum. Amazon, Techaspect, Microsoft were the companies in which students were placed for higher salaries.
Placements: Placements in this college are average. One cannot dream or expect 6 LPA package here. But this stigma has been changed over the years due to the new placement cell. My senior batches had just 10% placements which were 20% in my batch and 50% nowadays. 2.4 LPA is the average package, and the toppers can bag up to 4 LPA from good companies like HCL, Dell, HP etc.
Placements: Most of the placements from this college are from computer science, and the average package is 2.5lakh per annum, and more than 50% got placed. Excellent placements have been achieved by the institute in last three years, with a large number students being placed in some of the premier industries in a country like IBM, Himachal Pradesh, HCL, Wipro, Vodafone, Tata, HDFC Bank, Infosys etc.
Placements: Very good in placement in the recent years. I've seen my seniors getting selected for various companies like Google, Flipkart, ICICI Prudential. I've also seen our faculty members help the students to develop their knowledge. There are various activities for a student to develop his/her knowledge about the branch.
Placements: MIET has the best placements in Jammu & Kashmir. Last year, the package was quite good (4.75 lakh per annum). Wipro, Tata, Vodafone, Videocon, etc. were there for campus placement. It was a long 3-day placement drive. The students came with full preparation and confidence.
Placements: Only the deserved folks get the placement, if you are an average or just above average technically(not in scores), it is hard for you, otherwise no issues. During my time, around 30 to 40 students got placed. If you are a techie, it is a place for you where you can easily get placed, but you need to try for off-campus too.
Placements: MIET is only the second private engineering institute in the city of Jammu, as a result, not many companies prefer to recruit students from the city. Having said that, MIET has a collaboration with IBM and many private companies recruit the students like L&T, Tech Aspect, Samsung etc, though the ratio is very small.
Placements: There are not many companies visiting here but it is one of the best colleges in Jammu with regards to the placements. The maximum students of my senior batch are placed in HCL and other companies with an average package of above 3 lakhs. Also, in my batch, 2 students are placed in HP and 3 are placed in TechAspect with a package of 4.2 lakhs and 4.9 lakhs respectively. All the students have the opportunity to get the internship on EMC2 for free of cost(only for computer science). ...
Biggest mistake of my life. There is nothing good about this college at all. It’s like a jail. It has got no technical staff, no laboratories, and no practical work at all. The faculty, placements and the campus facilities, all need improvement. I will never recommend this college to anyone.
This college is the best college in Jammu and Kashmir, for professional courses, as the faculty is well educated and knows how to teach the students. Here, students gain lot of exposure, as they organise various seminars with alumni and professionals. They also organise various workshops on various technologies. Most importantly, they focus most on practicals, that’s what I liked the most. A happy studying environment. I love my college.
The college campus is good but not excellent. Very few lecturers who have been in the college for more than 7-8 years are excellent, rest all have very little knowledge about the subjects. Most of the projects by final year students are developed by outsiders and not by the students themselves. There is no one within the college who can guide about coding and innovation. No proper campus placements and no initiative being taken by the concerned staff. Very poor services offered according to the ...
