CUET Result 2025

NTA will release CUET UG results 2025 after the exam is conducted. CUET 2025 UG exam is likely to be scheduled in May/June 2025. Candidates preparing to take the exams are advised to check the official website of NTA for the CUET UG 2025 Datesheet.

How to Calculate CUET Percentage?

CUET Percentage can be calculated with the help of CUET Raw Score and Total Marks. Raw Score is the score obtained by the candidates in the CUET UG Exam and Total Marks is the sum of marks of all subjects from the three sections based on CUET Subject Mapping for a specific course at a university. The formula to calculate the CUET Percentage is:

CUET Percentage = (CUET Raw Score/Total Marks)*100

For instance, a student's CUET Raw Score is 680 and he/she applied for B.A. (Hons) in Political Science at Delhi University. According to CUET DU Subject Mapping, "Any one Language from Section I & Any three CUET domain subjects from Section II" is required. As we know the total marks per subject for Section I and Section II is 200. The total marks in this case would be 800. Now, the CUET percentage of the student will be:

CUET Percentage = (680/800)*100 = 85%

What is a Good Score in CUET?

A good CUET score is typically 85% and above, but it depends on the course chosen and the targeted university. For competitive courses in top universities, such as Delhi University or Jawaharlal Nehru University, a higher percentage is required, often above 95%. However, for courses in mid-range or state universities, a score between 80-89 percentage can secure a good seat, especially in subjects like humanities, commerce, or general science.

Q:   What are the factors affecting CUET cut off for DU?

A:

  • Total number of seats available for admission

  • Category of the candidate

  • Type of course or college chosen by the candidate

  • Previous year’s cut off marks

  • Difficulty of the CUET UG exam

Q:   How can I access the CUET UG cut off list?

  • On the homepage, click on the link to the current academic session CUET Cut Off
  • A new login page will open on screen. Enter the credentials and submit

Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

Q:   When will NTA release CUET UG cutoff?

Q:   How is CUET normalized score calculated?

A:

The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) normalised scores are derived through a systematic process that ensures fairness across different testing sessions. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how these scores are calculated:

  1. Raw Marks Collection: Initially, each candidate's raw marks are collected after they complete the exam. These marks represent the number of correct answers each candidate achieved.

  2. Percentile Calculation: For each candidate, their percentile is calculated based on how their raw marks compare to those of other candidates who took the exam in the same session. This percentile indicates the relative standing of a candidate among their peers within that specific session.

  3. Session Equating: The process involves multiple testing sessions that may occur over several days for the same subject. The percentiles calculated for each session are then equated to ensure consistency in scoring across all sessions.

  4. Normalisation Process: After equating the percentiles, they are converted into normalised marks. This step helps to standardise scores across varying exam conditions and candidate populations.

  5. Handling Smaller Sessions: In instances where a session has a limited number of candidates, those scores are aggregated with larger sessions. This clubbing ensures that every candidate's performance is compared against a more substantial and diverse group, leading to a more reliable and equitable normalised score.

How to Attain a Good Score in CUET?

Aspiring candidates preparing for the CUET UG 2025 must check the following tips to ensure they attain a good score in the CUET UG Exam:

  • Understand the Syllabus: CUET tests students on various skills including general knowledge, reasoning, language, and domain-specific knowledge. Ensure you know the detailed CUET UG syllabus for each subject.
  • Practice Mock Tests: Attempt regular CUET UG mock tests and practice papers available online. This will help you get familiar with the CUET exam pattern, manage time better, and improve speed and accuracy.
  • Target Key Subjects: Focus on your CUET domain-specific subjects and be thorough with the NCERT textbooks. Most questions in CUET are based on the Class 12 syllabus.
  • Improve Time Management: Since CUET is a time-bound exam, learning to manage time between sections is crucial. Practicing the CUET previous year's papers under exam conditions will help improve your time management.
  • Study from the Right Resources: Use subject-specific books, practice sets, and study materials aligned with the CUET syllabus to maximize your preparation.
  • Revision and Consistency: Consistent study and regular revision are key. Allocate time for revising previously learned concepts and solving sample papers.

FAQs on CUET Exam

Q. What is the medium of CUET UG exam?

Ans. The CUET UG exam will be held in languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Odia, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Urdu, Punjabi, Telugu and Tamil. Candidates can choose their preferred language while filling out the CUET application form.

Q. When will CUET 2025 exam be held?

Ans. The CUET 2025 exam is expected to be held in the third week of May 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the exact dates along with the official notification. Students should regularly check the official CUET website for updates and start preparing in advance by referring to the syllabus and study materials. The application process will typically begin a few months before the exam, and students must fill out the form, select their preferred subjects, and adhere to the exam guidelines.

Q. What is CUET Cut Off?

Ans. The CUET Cut Off refers to the minimum marks or percentile a candidate needs to score in the CUET exam to qualify for admission to various undergraduate courses in participating universities. Each university and course may have different cut-off scores based on factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and the difficulty level of the exam.

Q. Is CUET Cut Off the same for all universities?

Ans. No, the CUET Cut Off is not the same for all universities. Each university and even specific courses within a university have their distinct cut-off marks based on various factors such as the number of applicants, seat availability, and difficulty level of the exam. The cut-offs also differ based on categories like General, OBC, SC, ST, and other reserved categories. Therefore, candidates need to check the specific cut-off lists released by their desired universities.

Q. Does scoring above the Cut Off guarantee admission?

Ans. No, scoring above the CUET Cut Off does not guarantee admission. While achieving a score higher than the cut-off makes a candidate eligible for consideration, admission depends on factors such as the number of available seats, the preferences of candidates, and the overall competition. Universities also take into account reservation policies, course-specific criteria, and further rounds of selection such as counseling or interviews before finalizing admissions. Therefore, meeting the cut-off is just one step in the admission process.
