B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.4

Balanced curriculum with good faculty but the worst hostel experience.
Placements: In our course, nearly only 10% of students are getting on-campus placements. The highest package was maybe nearly 40LPA, and the lowest was around 3LPA. One of the top companies that was recruiting was TCS. Mostly, every internship was off-campus. Regarding top roles, I am currently unaware of those details.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but labs are average with no Wi-Fi for students. The library is good and has only limited books. Hostel conditions are horrible for me—bad food, rude warden, high fees which are Rs.38,000/- per semester, which is ridiculous, and only 3 bathrooms per floor, no generator, restricted Wi-Fi, and poor cleaning.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, and well-qualified, and some hold PhDs. The course curriculum is relevant, up-to-date, and designed to make students industry-ready. Semester-end exams are fair—only if we study, we can pass, and others struggle. The pass percentage is maybe around 80%, and some subjects are subject-based, depending on the difficulty of that subject.

College Chronicles with Experience.
Placements: That is a disaster for the post-COVID batches. I can't even comment on that aspect, but the only thing that bothers me is that companies like Accenture, LTI, Mindtree, and Cognizant are hiring fewer numbers from our college compared to other colleges. That is the only issue with our college.
Infrastructure: For our time, we didn’t have any campus hostels, so we lived at private hostels. Hostel facilities are good except for the floor. Coming to the college hostels, they are good in all aspects, from food to Wi-Fi to sanitation. The only thing is, for girls especially, they should be in the hostel by 6 o'clock.
Faculty: Faculty in the IT department is good compared to other branches. Our faculty is well-educated, and they make us do internships and other activities patiently. I personally like the way they encourage students. They help in doing projects and research, and they arrange many seminars for students' futures.

An average college with average infrastructure.
Placements: We are having very less placement compared to past years and other colleges, and all the companies are software companies. No core for EEE, Mechanical, Civil, and Automobile students, and many companies have eligibility just for CSC and IT students. It's easier for them, but when it comes to placements for EEE, it doesn't have really good placements.
Infrastructure: This college has very basic infrastructure. It has buildings in two rows, that's it. We don't have anything to see at all. The college is really small compared to other colleges in Hyderabad, and the hostel opened recently, about 2 years ago. As far as I know, the food and basic facilities are average.
Faculty: Every teacher knows the basics of what they are teaching, but nothing extraordinary. This college doesn't make any students industry-ready. Some semester exams are difficult, and some are not. The pass percentage is like 60% of the class passes, and the remaining 40% don't.
Other: The college can improve the events, fests, clubs, and other extracurricular activities. This college really lacks in those extracurricular activities.

MVSR Engineering College - The godfathers of betrayal; certified goons, promoters of nepotism.
Placements: Placements are an absolute sham. The college deceives students of non-IT branches with false promises of attractive placements, and deludes them into taking. The college has tied up with a city-based company 'Suntek' to provide training once a week to the students, especially for software engineering and soft skills, by automatically levying a fee for it during the admission. Hardly anyone gets placed barring the CSE/IT branches. No wonder that the college administration and lecturers are certified thus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is non-existent in the college campus; yet another broken promise by the college management. The lab technicians act as rowdies and try to boss over the students; ostensibly in connivance with the Assistant Professors. Lab sessions are nothing more than a means for the lecturers to scold people for failing to wear a lab coat or not completing the lab record. Shame on such sensitive people!
Faculty: A small minority of the teaching staff were cordial and helpful, the rest were all people of the lowest order. Teaching quality can at best be described as mediocre. A handful even resort to flirting with each other in plain view of the students. Seriously, people of loose character and corrupt morals. The course curriculum is outdated and unfit for the present-day world. The semester examinations are conducted by the college, ever since it became autonomous in 2021; hence I'm qualified to answer from personal experience. However, from what I've heard, the examinations are deliberately made tough to fail students.
Other: College fests are periodically conducted by different departments, however, they are nothing short of utter chaos and organized nonsense. The only thing worth praising about the college is its peaceful library and green surroundings. The security guards act as hired goons to intimidate students and exercise authority. Scholarship amounts aren't disbursed to the students even after 2 years post-completion of the program.

Decent infrastructure with good placements and faculty.
Placements: The placement scenario at MVSR Engineering College is fairly decent for core branches like Computer Science and Electronics. Approximately 88 percent of students are placed from my batch. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few startups.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are well-equipped. The library is also well-equipped with almost all the required books. The canteen is good, with vegetarian food and affordable prices. The classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with projectors for interactive learning. Wi-Fi is available on the campus.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum makes the students industry-ready and perfect for society. The semester exams are moderately challenging, primarily focusing on theoretical knowledge. The pass percentage typically ranges from 70-80 percent.
Other: Events happen once a year, with technical events happening very regularly.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to the lack of extracurricular activities.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students have been placed so far, as the session is ongoing. The highest package recorded till now is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiters include mass recruiters like Amazon and TCS. While only some students secured internships through the college, a few managed off-campus internships with prestigious companies like Goldman Sachs and Microsoft.
Infrastructure: The college features large buildings for each course, with clean and well-maintained classrooms. The campus is adorned with numerous trees, providing a pleasant environment. Wi-Fi is available in classrooms, and the library is well-equipped. The quality of food in hostels, mess, and canteen is commendable. Medical facilities with a doctor and an indoor games room are also provided.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, holding postgraduate degrees, and are known for their helpfulness and extensive knowledge in their respective fields. However, while the IT course is strong, it may not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not overly difficult, with a pass percentage of about 85%.
Other: I chose this college as there were no better options available for me offering CSE. The course could be enhanced with more industry-level technology. The college hosts minimal events, with only one festivalival per year. The campus has good road connectivity and is surrounded by the city. Unfortunately, no scholarships or extracurricular activities are provided.
