Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at Narsimha Reddy Engineering College?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum

    * The course curriculum at Narsimha Reddy Engineering College (NREC) is considered good by some students and alumni, while others find it not relevant or making students "industry-unready".
    * Faculty members are quoted saying that the course curriculum is followed strictly according to the norms of the University, implying that it is well-planned and executed.
    * Students mention that the curriculum covers both theoretical and practical aspects, with practical examples used to explain complex concepts.
    * One student specifically highlights that the mechanical course curriculum makes students "industry-ready" by providing them with practical and technical knowledge.

It appears that the course curriculum at NREC is a mix of strengths and weaknesses. While some students and alumni appreciate its structure and relevance, others feel that it could be improved. Overall, it seems that the curriculum aims to balance theory and practice, although individual experiences may vary.

Note: Since the course curriculum is mentioned differently across various responses, I've tried to summarize the key points while avoiding promotion or emphasis on any particular aspect.

I am very satisfied with the college.
Placements: More than 50%-60% of students get placed in our college. The highest salary package recently offered was 14 LPA, and the average salaey package offered was 4 LPA-5 LPA. We have top companies for recruitment, such as TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and others. Students with above 65% are eligible for recruitment. College recruitment process starts in the third year.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is excellent, including the classrooms, library, labs, and other facilities. College premises are also well-maintained. They provide good Wi-Fi, and food in the cafeteria and hostel is excellent. Food feels like home-cooked meals. College also has a sports club, and sports activities are held every evening.
Faculty: Relationship between the faculty members and students is excellent. They are friendly, which makes it easy for us to approach them. Curriculum we have is the best, with half of the day dedicated to CRT training and the other half to academics. This helps us prepare for both academics and industry. In our specialization, the pass percentage is always above 95%.
Other: I chose the specialization of Electronics and Communication Engineering because it offers opportunities in both software and hardware fields. We can easily approach both sides. Most of the recruitment companies are IT-based, but I thought it would also be better to get companies for the hardware side. College organizes selection events every year, including cultural clubs, technical clubs, sports clubs, etc. They conduct events like hackathons, Code Chef competitions, and more. Every festival and event is organised by the college, which feels great.

    Absolutely worthy of joining here.
Placements: Nice college to study for 4 years but about placements, it depends on your skills. The college will only invite some small companies, like 3,4,5 LPA packages and sometimes it won't come. You need to grab opportunities outside the campus also and they might guide you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fabulous overall, and it’s nice to be there. The CSE block is quieter because there are only a few students in that branch. You need to go to college regularly; the four years may go by like days in my life.
Faculty: It’s quite good, and they'll teach in a way that suits you. If you have any doubts, they’ll do their best to explain the topic thoroughly. You need to attend college regularly. The college recently achieved autonomous status and is NBA A+ ranked.
Other: It's a very decent college, and you'll enjoy the weather. At least one movie or serial shoot happens each week, and many students love watching the stars. The college also conducts many events.

According to your rank, select the college wisely.
Placements: Poor placement team; they are not making an effort to attract more companies, and they are not bringing at least five companies to the college for placements. Less than a percent of students are placed in a college, so the management needs to improve the placement cell to ensure their placement.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure: a widely open campus, a pretty big garden, seating arrangements around the college, average labs, a library, and equipment in a lab, and a good environment around the college with a lot of trees and gardens.
Faculty: The worst course curriculum is still stuck with 19th-century technologies. There is no good skill development in the course curriculum because it only focuses on core subjects and not at all on internships and projects. It is mostly focused on theory and not practical.
    Other: Not bad.

I recommend this college to others.
Placements: More than 70% of the students in this course were placed, reflecting its strong demand in the market. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, while the lowest is 3 LPA. Many MNCs, including Tech Mahindra, Deltax, Wipro, Genpact, and Infotech, recruit from this course. A significant number of students also secure internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure and facilities are excellent, providing a positive environment for both faculty and students. There are smart TVs, digital boards, well-equipped labs with reliable Wi-Fi, and a library with a comprehensive collection of books. On-campus hostel facilities for girls are available, along with a cafeteria offering a variety of food options.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They encourage participation in all activities, including seminars, group discussions, and CRT training sessions, which are provided to enhance placement readiness. While the semester exams are challenging, the faculty’s support is always available to help students succeed.

Placements: More than 70 percent of the students got placed in this college. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Deltax, Wipro, Genpact, and Infotech hire students from this college. Many students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of this college are too good. It is located in a peaceful environment. This college has good facilities for both faculty and students, including digital classrooms, smart boards, smart TVs, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities are available for girls on campus itself, providing full security. Homely food, free Wi-Fi, study hours, sports hours, and hot water are all available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and have good knowledge. Their teaching quality is also excellent, with many faculty members holding their Ph.D. The course curriculum is relevant, and they provide CRT training for placements. Semester exams are not that difficult.

Good infrastructure and facilities but the placements in 2022 are not good.
Placements: The placements at this college are so bad. The percentage of students placed in the course is just 5%. The average package offered in our course is just 3.4 LPA. VI Company is the top recruiter. 0 percent of students got internships from our course. Mid-semester assessments and lab exams are conducted during the semester.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with a good library, classes and labs. Programming labs and networking labs are there in this college. There is no hostel facility for boys; there is only a hostel facility for girls. As I have been told by my friends, the food is good.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The professors do have advanced degrees and masters in their respective fields. The semester exams at this college are somewhat difficult. The curriculum usually covers a range of foundational and advanced topics in computer science.
Other: This course has a lot of opportunities for freshers. The events, fests, campus crowds, and connectivity are all good at this college.
