Wonderful place to be, it help discover one's self, passion and interest.
Placements: Yes, there is a placement cell at NID Paldi campus. It works good for a few disciplines but not for all. Reason being both placements and internships take place simultaneouly. So, the seriousness is not as much. Apart from it, not all the interest areas are satisfied. For instance, students interested in crafts hardly find companies facilitating their interest. As the companies are more industry oriented. Sometimes, professionalism is also faced on the part of employers. Minimum package starts from 8 lac and goes uptill 36 lac, as of now. Another angle is the education system. The way students are taught and provided wisdom through hand driven, self exploratory approach, majority of students go for enterprenuership wherein collaborative design cenetric work takes place. Often, students or Alumni group is more interested towards collaborating with traditional artisans to keep the craft joyfully alive, to maximize its exposure by contemporary additions and innovations.
Infrastructure: The entire campus has been beautifully designed with sequential unfolding of spaces. The proportion of built and unbuilt flow beautifully into each other. There are no strict path to a place, every person decides their own trail. Recently, all the classrooms and studio spaces have been made air conditioned. The library (knowledge management centre) as we call it, is an immense source of authentic information and has been kept systematically. The staff is strict and very helpful. The campus is fully Wi-Fi. There is a gym, mess, canteen, chain zone (we call it chain GATE wonderful green spaces, intermediate courtyards etc. The quality of food is decent and they work on variety as well. As a M.Des student, I did not get to stay at the hostel. But now there is one, newly constructed for M.Des girls.
Faculty: The course curriculum is quiet elaborate and touches upon each aspect in great detail. Though, the amount of knowledge is vast enough to be grabbed in a span of 2.5 years in an M.Des programme. But, at NID, learning comes by doing. So, once this approach is imbibe in a person they learn forever. NID encourages hand driven work. This develops sensitivity towards process and helps inculcate the value of time. Though open to technological advances, NID supports hand work more than machine work. It encourages craft driven approaches and works towards conservation and preservation of crafts through design innovations. Faculty members are qualified have industrial or craft based links. The diversity of courses and view points is the beauty.
Other: The campus is beautiful beyond comparison. It provides opportunity to each user to design their own trail. Movement is not strict and there are multiple ways of reaching one place. This facilitates decision making based on the scenario. The spaces are free flowing. There is an auditorium which features films, student films, talks, etc. After each course students display their work for comments. Students keep participating in competitions and win at them too. In the evening, students and alumni group plays together. Cultural events, competitions, displays keep happening frequently. The campus is near to Sabarmati river.

A college, which is totally different from the rest of the colleges in India.
Placements: One of the best in a country with the companies from every field coming to take the placement. The demand for the design student is increasing day by day since the number of student passing out is always the same, but that number of companies visiting the campus is always increasing year by year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch, which includes A/C and the Wi-Fi facility across the whole campus. Further, the building is made in such a way that it will remain cool in the scorching heat of Ahmedabad's summer. In short, it has all the facilities that a design student need to complete his/her studies for four years.
Faculty: One of the best faculty members of the whole country is here. They are highly experienced that nothing can beat them. The curriculum not only makes the people as a design student but also as a responsible human. Further, the evaluation of the students is held differently since they have the different talent in them. The skills to become a design student can excel in the industry.
Other: The college is located in the vicinity of Sabarmati river, and the campus is one of the best in Asia. They have more than 168 exchange programs for the students.

Experience at NID, Ahmedabad .
Placements: Around 70 percent of students get placement through college placements. The highest package offered is 80 Lacs per annum. Average package is 9–12 lacs per annum. The top recruiter for textile design students is Fab India. The top role offered in textile design is surface designer for prints.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very safe and affordable, located inside the NID campus itself. So it's very easy to reach classes on time. Mess is a nearby hostel area. But food at the mess is not very good, very oily, and rotis are not properly cooked. The Wi-Fi facility is good with high-speed internet.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well qualified, have worked in there respective industries, and have deep knowledge about the current scenario. The textile design course curriculum is very well designed and contains practical skills courses and theoretical courses that are required for today's industry.
Other: Every year in August, monsoon fest happens, which is very nice.

Really, I cherish my days in NID.
Placements: The placements here are pretty decent at NID. It also depends on how good a student is in creative thinking, communication skills and of course a good portfolio. Here, companies like Microsoft, Samsung, MTV, Sony, etc., come to recruit. Almost everyone finds their desired companies here.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, and the campus is equipped with constant high-speed internet. Labs and classrooms are updated and are accessible 27/7. The food is okay as the mess food is very oily. The hostel is also safe and great. Medical services are also a bit slow as the doctors come for only a few hours.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and very mindful. Both in-house and visiting faculty members help in the growth of the student. Although, faculty members are a bit less in animation, but the visiting ones from the industry compensate it. At the end of the day its the handful of knowledge which matters.
Other: Festivals like Chitrakatha and Monsoon fiesta are really fun. Its really contributes in bringing the design community together.

I really cherish my time at NID. I learned at lot from these very friendly people.
Placements: The placements are quite decent for an undergraduate from NID. The students of animation film design get the offers from various companies like Samsung, Disney, Cartoon Network, etc. Almost 80 percent of the students get recruited during the campus placements. It also depends on how good the students are in terms of strong visualization and communication skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good in the Heritage campus in Ahmedabad. There is constant high-speed internet access, updated and equipped classrooms and labs. The medical facility is a little bit slow. Apart from that, it's a lovely campus full of greenery, birds and fresh air.
Faculty: The faculty members are very competent in their respective fields. We also have the industry access from the visiting faculty members from time to time. Along with those experts, from abroad also, some faculty comes to share their experiences with the students. The courses were updated from time to time after the student feedback.
Other: The campus is an all-time happening place. Be it from an art/design installation to sports and musical events. You get to meet a lot of alumnae who are very friendly. The festivals like Chitrakatha and Alpavirama are really contributing in bringing the design community together.

Our college provides good teachers, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 80-90% of students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Many students from our course got internships at First Cry, Microsoft, Adobe, Ikea, etc. The top roles offered were visual designer, creative manager, etc.
