A: 

NID Bangalore MDes application process is an online procedure for which candidates need to visit the NID official website and follow the steps given below to fill the application form.

Step 1: Visit the official admission website of NID 

Step 2: You will see a section of ‘How to Apply’. In case you are a new user, click on signup. If you have already registered yourself, you can login to fill the application form.

Step 3: Login to your account with the mobile number and email id with which you have registered.

Step 4: Fill your personal and educational details correctly and click on ‘save and proceed’ to go to the next section.

Step 5: Upload the documents as mentioned— a recent passport-size coloured photograph (between 60 KB and 100 KB); scanned signature image (not exceeding 100 KB); a caste certificate issued by a competent authority (not exceeding 150 KB).

All the above-mentioned documents must be in jpg/jpeg format.

Step 6: After uploading all documents, click on ‘save and proceed’ to pay the application fee online (debit/ credit card) or offline (demand draft). You may also click on ‘save and exit’ to complete the form at a later date or time.

Q:   How do I get into NID for an MDes? What kind of preparations do I have to do?

A: 

To secure admission to question Bangalore MDes, candidates need to appear for Design Aptitude Test (DAT). NID DAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design. 

The NID DAT is conducted in two stages, DAT Prelims and DAT Mains, propective candidates need qualify DAT Prelims to appear for DAT Mains. The final admission offers are made on the basis of candidate's performance in both stages.

Master in design at the national institute of design.
Placements: At this college, 50% of the students get placements in the master of design course. The highest package offered in our college was 12 LPA. The lowest package offered was 5 LPA with an average package of 3-7 LPA. Top recruiters in the college were Lavson Auto, Apollo, TVS, Ceat etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a well maintained and developed infrastructure. Facilities provided by the college are good. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen etc. are facilities given to the students. Hostel facility is also available in the college. Food available in the mess was good to eat.
Faculty: Faculty of this college us helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality offered is good. It makes the students industry ready. Course curriculum followed here is relevant. Semester exams in this college are not hard to pass.

The following is the cost breakdown for NID Bangalore's undergraduate programmes:

For Indian nationals, the annual tuition for the B.Des programme is INR 3,67,000, and this amount is set for each of the eight semesters. The application fee is INR 2,000 for one discipline and INR 4,000 for two disciplines. The application fee for SC/ST candidates is INR 1,000 for one discipline and INR 2,000 for two. For Indian nationals, the M.Des programme costs INR 4,27,000 per year in tuition, which is the same for all four semesters.
