It is the best platform to show your creativity.

Placements: NIFT has 100% centralised placements. Students can apply for on-campus and off-campus placements. Top recruiting companies include Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Puma, Shahi Exports, Myntra, Arvind, Landmark Group, Laguna Clothing, Nykaa Fashion, Epic Group, etc. The various roles offered are product management, category management, merchandising, marketing, industrial engineering, operations, fashion consultancy, etc. The lowest salary package is 3 LPA, and the highest is 15 LPA. Everyone in this course has to do a compulsory internship for a period of 6 months, i.e., a 2-month apparel internship in the 6th semester and a 4-month graduation project in the 8th semester. Students can convert their internships to PPOs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing, spacious, and has all the available resources. Each classroom is designed to accommodate a batch of 30 to 40 students. The resource centre (library) has all sorts of informative journals, books, and magazines on different courses like design, technology, management, etc. The labs are well equipped with all the latest machinery. Hostels are only provided for female students, but there are plenty of PGs and apartments nearby. Hostels have Wi-Fi, washing machines, good food, clean mess halls, and washrooms. Medical facilities can be availed of as per the needs of the student. Various sports, games, and the gym help students to stay fit.

Faculty: The curriculum is very relevant and caters to industrial needs. The course is diversified and lets you choose different inter-disciplinary majors and minors along with general electives of your choice while deepening specialisation in your own course. There are fewer written exams and more presentation-based exams. They are referred to as juries. The juries are different from regular written exams and allow you to gain confidence through your presentation skills. The passing percentage is 50%. Teachers are helpful and have good industrial exposure. They give research-based assignments and projects that can help you to understand things from a deep and wider perspective.

Other: Our annual event is Spectrum. There are other wonderful events. The surroundings are pretty good. It is the posh area of Bhubaneswar. Zomato, Swiggy, and other apps are very efficient and functional here.

The review of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhubaneswar.

Placements: 2018 batch was the first batch of B.FTech to get passed out from NIFT Bhubaneswar. They were offered 100% placements, and all the students of that batch were offered jobs in and outside India. Many students were also offered international internships as some students were offered internships in Bangladesh. Some companies provide stipends, and some does not offer any stipends. However, since we don't have internships for a longer period, it's okay to do unpaid internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that big as the campus resides in KIIT campus. However, but our department has its own amenities. Since the campus is not that huge, all the students of each year know each other. The campus is quite bigger than few other NIFT campuses.

Faculty: Faculty members of the tech department are the best. They all are friendly, and they are great at their work. They give their best for students to understand all the basics. As the tech department consists of many subjects, some subjects are taught by guest faculty members. However, even those guest faculty members give their best.

Other: Our college has four clubs, and all those clubs take care of different events that are organised throughout the year. An annual fest named Spectrum is organised here, and an event named Converge is conducted to organise tournaments for all NIFT campuses.

The college has a good campus, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The first batch of BF Tech is yet to be placed as they will graduate this year. Every student got the internship in very good companies like Raymonds, Arvind Lifestyle, Triburg, Gokaldas Exports to name a few. The stipend offered is between Rs. 5000 to 8000 INR. For placements, students will have to get to register themselves for centralised placements which will be held in the last week of April and May 1st week.

Infrastructure: The campus has state of the art academic infrastructure. 7 IT labs with all the latest software. Advanced weaving studio with electronic Jacquard and Dobby. 4 garment construction and pattern making lab with all the latest equipment like specialised sewing machines and ETON production system. All classrooms are well connected with network and LCD projectors. The college provides the medical facility, and a doctor from Appolo hospital comes on every evening. The hostel is quite good and can accomodate more than 400 girls. The mess provides quality north Indian food 4 times a day. There are stationery shop and a cafeteria for refreshments and snacks. Students have access to basketball, table tennis, badminton, volleyball etc. and various kind of sports.

Faculty: The faculty members are quite experienced and are very helpful towards students. Apart from regular faculty members, the students get to interact with external facilities and industry experts. The teaching is done through visual aids and learning by doing practical and application of theories in real life problems. The course curriculum is made in such a way to give the student an all-around knowledge of the apparel industry.

Other: The different co-curricular events are held on every wednesday evening which are held by 4 clubs of the college. The college fest is held between January and February.
