Overall, dissatisfied with my college placements and infrastructures, and it needs to change.

Placements: This year, the placement was not good, but better from last year. Many companies have not taken many students for the jobs. We are struggling for the good companies and opportunities to show our talent and skills. Mostly Infosys and Wipro hire the students for the jobs.

NIST is on its downward slope.

Placements: The placements were not too good. The highest package offered in the campus was 5.7 by Yoodle, the lowest was 1.8 LPA, and the average was 2.5 LPA. Only 30-40% was the total students who are placed. Only Infi and Wipro were the only companies which will visit the campus for sure and rest all were temporary.

It is not the best, but also not the worst.

Placements: Placement in this college is good. There are many students who got placed in good companies, but their percentage is very low. The placements here is only good for the non-core branches. Only the non-core companies visit this campus. The highest salary offered is five to six lacks. The lowest salary is one to two lacks, and the average is in between three to four lacks. Many good companies also visited this campus like Wipro and Infosys. They also offer genuine roles as freshers. Many students a...

It is an average college. The placements are not good in this year.

Placements: In previous batch placement is good, but in this year placement is very bad. In the previous batch, the highest placement is 7 lakh per annum, and the lowest placement is 3 lakh per annum. Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc., visited my college many times. Maximum 30 percent of the students got the internship from the college.

The true and honest review of nist college from my viewpoint.

Placements: Placements have always been an important thing in the life of a student as it marks the beginning of his or her career. Placement ratio of NIST is good as compared to colleges in Odisha, but if you take a deep depth, the placement is not satisfactory. Even the placement of our senior batch was about 30%. Most of the companies Infosys, Wipro, Techmahindra, Capgemini, Cybage, Cape electronics, Goals, Mindtree pay the visit in the college. The placement of the IT and computer Science branch is way ...

Overall, it is average relating to every field.

Placements: The placements in our college can be voted as average. Many of the reputed and well-recognised companies visit our college for the placements. The average package provided in our college was Rs. 2.5-3.5 lacs annually. The highest package shoots up to 10-15 lacs annually.

Don't think to take admission in this college.

Placements: The placements are not good from past years and also decline in this year. Most of the software companies came for placement. Fewer chances of core companies visit for placement. The students were placed in low packages. The average package is about 1.5 lacs per year. The placement activity is not good.

The NIST college is for the students who are below average.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch are very poor since only around 150 students are placed out of 750 students. The college has seen its placement record in the year 2015 with more than 84% of placement and this year, Wipro and Infosys have recruited more than 450 students out of 650 students. The highest package was 9 Lacs in 2015, and the average is below 2 Lacs per annum.

Good college but not satisfactory and placement records are also going down year by year

Placements: Placements are average. About 40% students got placed in 2017. The highest salary package is about 7 LPA in 2017 and the lowest is about 3 LPA. The stipend offered is up to Rs.7000. Students are getting under training roles. Below avergae students got the internship from the college.

If you want to get placed in IT companies and want to study 24x7 then it is the best college.

Placements: The CSE/IT students get good placements in this college. There is very little scope for core branches. Due to the IT sectors crises, very less number of students got placed from our batch. I only recommend those students who really want to achieve something in IT sectors and who dreams to be a software engineer to join this college.

The college is average. It is good only for computer science. Placement is good at state level.

Placements: Placement for my senior batches was extraordinarily well. It was like 80-85% campus placement. Campus placement was not good for my batch, and it was around 50 %, but my batchmates got jobs in off campus and around 85% got placed somewhere finally. The average package in campus was 3.25 LPA and the highest was 7 LPA. Mostly, IT companies visited like Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and electronics companies- Sankalp Semiconductor, Coral, and Perfectus recruited the students. The colleg...

Review of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST, Orissa).

Placements: Mostly, the placement is limited to IT companies like Infosys, Wipro and a few other companies. 2-3 core companies come for placement and 4-10 students get placed usually. The average salary would be about 3.25 LPA. Students having 60% (now a few companies have started asking for 65 %) throughout the career are likely to get placement in any of the IT firms.

A good campus life with quality education.

Placements: Placements were average in our batch. Mostly software roles were offered to the students with the highest package of 3 lakh per annum and the lowest package was 2.75 lakh per annum. Companies that visited the campus were Infosys, Wipro, Exilant, Capgemini, Sankalp Semiconductors, PerfectVIPs. There were series of mock interviews that were offered to us, both technical and HR interviews. The college also prepared us for written round (that included aptitude, logical reasoning and English) and gr...

I am not satisfied due to the ill-treatment by teachers, and poor hostel facilities.

Placements: In our college, almost 40% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 19.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Our college placements were not good. Top roles offered were in sales and marketing.

Placements: Around 58% of students get placed. The highest package offered is 20 LPA. Few companies visit our college for placements. Around 49% of students got internships from our course. Companies like Wipro, etc., visited the college. The lowest package offered is 7 LPA.

Will not recommend to join college, fortunately placement was fine for us but it was horrible later.

Placements: Around 70% of students were placed in our batch. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA off-campus but facilitated by the college. So if campus placement is to be considered then it was 3.3 LPA by mass recruiting companies. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. The top role offered was software developer only.

Placements: TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Infinite Solution, Tech Mahindra, etc., companies come here. There are almost 80% of placements, and we got internships from Tata Steel. The highest package offered by far is 20 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The top roles offered are senior engineer, employee data management etc.

You will be atleast serious about studies than any other institutions, but not much entertaining.

Placements: I don't have much idea about everything, but as much as I know minimum 40% students get placed, and Infosys used to recruit the maximum number of students from our college. I don't know about internship. We got a large number of recruitment than any other course in our college.

It is the best college for those who have more patience for studies.

Placements: Around 70% of students got placed last year. The highest salary package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit our campus for placements. Core companies do not visit our campus for placements. There is less scope for internships. The college itself is providing internships which is one of the best things in this college, but you have to keep patience.
