Q:   Is B.Sc. at National Post Graduate College - NPGC worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current students and alumni, here's a summary:

    Positive Points:

    * Good infrastructure: Spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a good library with a wide range of books.
    * Helpful faculty: Majority of teachers are qualified and helpful, providing individual attention and support.
    * Relevant coursework: The course curriculum is up-to-date and relevant, helping students achieve their career goals.
    * Placements: Many companies visit the campus for placements, offering good salaries and roles.
    * Facilities: Hostel facilities are good, with Wi-Fi availability, a gym, and a playground.

    Negative Points:

    * Limited exposure to core subjects: Some students feel that the course lacks depth in certain core subjects.
    * Placement percentages vary: While some batches have had good placement records, others may struggle to secure jobs.
    * Infrastructural issues: A few reviewers mentioned issues with the condition of the girls' washroom.
    * Limited internships: Not many students reported doing internships during their undergraduate program.
    * Strict rules: Some students felt that the college has strict rules and regulations, limiting their freedom.

    Overall Assessment:
While there are some drawbacks, the positives outweigh the negatives. The college seems to offer a good educational experience, with supportive faculty and decent placements. However, potential students should weigh these factors against their individual priorities and expectations before making an informed decision.

Recommendation: Based on the reviews, I would recommend considering other colleges as well, especially if you're looking for a stronger focus on core subjects or more extensive internship opportunities. However, if you prioritize a well-rounded education and reasonable placements, NPGC might still be a viable option.

Qualified and experienced faculty with good environment for students.
Placements: Approximately 40 percent of students are getting placed. The highest package offered here is 5-6 lakh and the lowest 2-3 lakh per annum. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, TCS, and many more. Finance manager and data analyst are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: The college has air-conditioned rooms, an e-library, computer labs, personalized reading rooms in each department, a well-furnished auditorium with a capacity of over 800 people, a sports ground, a canteen that offers a variety of dishes and beverages, an NSS organization, a hostel with air-conditioned rooms, internet access, medical facilities, a very hygienic mess, and a guest house for parents.
Faculty: Faculty here are highly qualified and very helpful for either career-related or academic-related issues. They provide quality of lectures over quantity. Teachers willingly ask students to get involved in class and try their best to make the lectures interactive and put up the different types of queries.
Other: A B.Sc. in Computer Science provides the practitioner with deep knowledge in computer science, of course far away from computer application, in which there is only the application of technology. Unlike this, computer science provides the core of computers. Apart from that, it provides a deep knowledge of statistics, as in my case I want to pursue a career as a data analyst, so it is beneficial to me both ways. And my third subject is mathematics.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: The placement team of our college works hard to organise the screening and other rounds for students, who fill out the placement form. Around 10% of students got placed in our college because many students don't fill out the form. The placement percentage of our college is not much good.
Infrastructure: Our college has two buildings, one is the science block, and another is the academic block. The science block considers B.Sc., BCA courses, etc. The academic block has B.A., B.Com, PG courses, etc. The library is attached to the academic block.
Faculty: The science block professors are working hard for their studies. Teachers are helpful only to third-year students because they get familiar with the students. MCQs won't come in the examination. There is only a written exam.

Details for the NPGC admission .
Placements: 50-55% students got placed. The highest average package offered till now is 12-13 LPA and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. From our course, we are most likely to get placements in the accounts field and where statistical knowledge is used. Or if we want then we can further pursue research career too.
Infrastructure: We have got the full time library facility and we can approach our faculty members at odd time even though we avoid it almost. I don't know about the hostel very much but I've seen it in a good condition and the canteen is good too. Sports and games are also organised by our seniors.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable too. They help us with every problem we got. I personally like the Statistics faculty quite much. As the both lady teachers are very hardworking and they support very well. They are too good at making discipline in class.

It is a good college for education but not for curricular activities.
Placements: Around 2% of students get placed in our course. The recruiting companies are Akash Tech company and many others.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are very good like Wi-Fi and a library with all the subject books. The canteen is average. Sports are held in our college like cricket, kabaddi, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and some of them are very good. Semester exams are hard to pass. The minimum pass percentage is 70%. Semester exams are held twice a year. In one semester, there are two unit tests and a final exam. Teachers complete the syllabus on time.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in mathematics. Most of the students participate in sports competitions and win prizes.

Infrastructure good, disciplined, supporting teachers with balanced timing.
Placements: Placement is quite helpful for Maths students and computers as taking Biology as a subject graduation. However, you will need more than the type of internship or the placement the way you want as a B.Sc. Biology students are not offered a quality placement, and internships are also very minor.
Infrastructure: Canteen food quality, although you will find things a bit more costly than the regular shop or the street food rate. Hence you will get quality as well as quality. You are also provided with a reading room within the college premises. Also, the collection of books is helpful in the library section. Labs are well maintained. Hostel fees are also affordable and present within one kilometre of the area.
Faculty: The exam pattern differs from the leading university, an autonomous college. The exam occurs semester-wise. We are offered three years of graduation, so we will have to give exams for six semesters, and the Science faculty teachers are beneficial.
Other: The cultural event often occurs as this college mainly focuses on academics, not fun. However, if you are willing to participate in social welfare, you can openly join the NSS community here for three years per your course. Overall this college is good in discipline and academics.

I am satisfied with my decision to apply to this college.
Placements: Almost 75% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8.6 LPA. Wipro, HCL, etc. are top companies that recruit from our course. Around 70% get internships. Teachers are very helpful and supportive. We have a better environment for studying, with good canteen food and facilities.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have a library, an e-library, a reading room and an Indore games room. We have physics, chemistry, and biology labs available. The hostel facilities are very good and the quality of food is excellent. A 24X7 library and computer lab with Wi-Fi access are available at this medical facility. Playgrounds and sports equipment make this an overall very good facility.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well qualified, and have a good nature. The teaching quality is very good. They teach everything from basic to advanced, whatever is required. This course is very good and makes the industry ready in both the private and public sectors. Semester exams are not very difficult because the teaching quality is excellent. Around 40% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because it is helpful for my courier career, which I want to pursue. Every aspect of this course is good, but one thing I want to improve is parking. Various other curricular activities take place. Overall, everything is good.
