Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.A. students at National Post Graduate College - NPGC?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Success Rate of Placement Cell for B.A. Students

Unfortunately, based on the reviews and testimonials from students and alumni, it appears that the placement cell at National Post Graduate College (NPGC) is not effective in securing jobs for B.A. students. Here's what we found:

    * No placements: Some students mentioned that there were no placements available for the B.A. course during their tenure.
    * Internship programs available for PG courses only: Although the college offers internship programs for certain subjects like psychology, these programs seem to be limited to postgraduate students and not available for undergraduate B.A. students.
    * Rarely provided placements: One student mentioned that placements are rarely provided at the college, which suggests that the placement cell may not be actively working towards placing students in jobs.

Overall, it seems that the placement cell at NPGC has limitations in terms of providing job opportunities for B.A. students. Therefore, we would advise prospective students to consider alternative options when choosing a college for higher studies.

Only average companies approach here for placements, and the salary packages offered are also very minimal, But it is good for B.A. students.

College life is good in NPGC if you have good friends.
Placements: As there is no such placement thing in the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) course, the course helps you to pursue post-graduation in your chosen subject. I don't have any idea about professional courses. But with the Bachelor of Arts course, you can pursue post-graduation and later a PhD or you can prepare for UPSC.
Infrastructure: The library is small, but you can get your course books. There is also a reading room in the college. The hostel is decent, and there is no Wi-Fi on the college campus. There is also a hostel ground where you can play, mostly cricket matches. The food is good, and the warden is strict.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and good. They are helpful and also advise you a lot. There are various courses available in the college. The semester exams are moderate to tough, and the marking system is strict as getting more than 80 percent is a hard nut to crack. The average percentage is 60 percent.
Other: I chose the course for my UPSC preparation.

The only good thing would be you don't have to worry every morning about what to wear today.
Placements: I am right now in B.A. 2nd year, so I don't have a say about placement now. But I have heard the highest package offered is 8 Lacs and the average is 3 Lacs annually. They provide placement in Edvizo, Green Ripples Pvt. Ltd., Jinkot Infotech Pvt. Ltd., TCC, Kotak Securities, etc.
Infrastructure: It does not offer any kind of Wi-Fi, as mobile phones are prohibited in the campus. The library is fine but does not have enough books if you want more insight into the subject. Books will help you pass the exam, but there are not even enough books for all the students enrolled. The food in the mess is okay, not very good, and the canteen food is pretty good. Sports and games happen on a daily basis; you just have to be updated about it, even get to compete with other colleges and departments.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful and provides help when required. You definitely need to ask for help; there might be exceptions to it, but mostly the teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and teaching quality is really good. The course curriculum is relevant, but it deletes some of the really important topics from the syllabus that are necessary if someone wants to continue their study in the same field. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready except for a few subjects like Anthropology. Semester exams are easy in the college if you learn thoroughly everything in the curriculum. Pass percentage is...
Other: There is nothing best about my course as it feels like school, only the syllabus is taught, not anything outside that. They should have more of a practical approach in teaching. If the college would have more societies other than the placement cell. Events mostly happen in the auditorium; no fest happens. The campus crowd is fine, and connectivity is hard if you want to find anyone from whom you can learn as a person. Hardly any extracurricular activities occur.

    Details for NPGC admission .
Placements: There are no direct placements, but if you want to pursue a career in a particular direction, then you could go to faculty members for further guidance. Here faculty are quite good and helpful, and they provide very useful and reliable information.
Infrastructure: I didn't opt for hostel, but I've heard a lot about hostels from my friends there. There are good facilities, and it is very comfortable to stay there. As for the course, the infrastructure is good and flexible. Any student can handle it with ease.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are quite helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is also very good This course curriculum is also very relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready because Bachelor of Arts is not a professional course to pursue. From here, you can go for civil service preparation.

It is an excellent college, but it can be improved.
Placements: The quality of education is good but placements are not good. Students who got placed did not receive good salary packages.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are not good. The whole campus is restricted to a small area. Our college has many buildings and classrooms. In the B.A. course, more than 120 students are seated but the college does not try to find an alternate solution. A playground and auditorium are available, but they are extremely small.
Faculty: Our teachers do not behave well. They speak very rudely to students. They are helpful. The college is affiliated with Lucknow University, but its syllabus does not match that of the university.
Other: Our college has many restrictions. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited on campus. If you use a mobile on campus, the mobile will be confiscated by teachers. You need to pay a fine to get it back.

College is good but the campus was small and the infrastructure is also fine.
Placements: The lowest package in my course is 10000, and the highest is 25000, and whenever I know about the basic and starting salary of the freshers, it is only 10000 or more, 12000. My experience in this college is pretty good, and the teachers are humble.
Infrastructure: The college library is good, but the reading rooms Wi-Fi are very slow, and all labs are well maintained, and the food of the canteen is good, but the cost of the food is not worth it, like the food is average, but the prices are too high, and one thing is good: every year in college there is the sport day in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable in various subjects, but especially the psychology department teachers are very genuine and more humble, and their way of taking is way better than the other department teachers. Personally, I am a psychology student, and I know all the teachers in the psychology department.
