Review of NIT Calicut National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Around 100% of students in our batch and our senior batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 35 LPA, and the lowest package was 6.5 LPA. The average package offered was 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amdocs, Cisco, Deloitte, Fastenal, Carl Zeiss, SAP Labs, Aryaka Networks etc. About 70% of students got internships from Cisco, Amazon, KLA, Amdocs, etc. Mostly, the roles offered are SDE and analyst.
Infrastructure: We have 24-hours free internet on campus. Lab facilities and libraries are available till midnight. Classrooms have good infrastructure and equipment, including projectors. The hostel is neat and clean, and the staff here maintain cleanliness. Good food quality and a variety of food items from all parts of India are offered. Free medical facilities, sports and games kits, and a 24-hour ambulance are available. The canteen is open till midnight.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, but we have very few hours of classes to complete the course. Students need to study on their own. Not every course is relevant. Exams are moderate and difficult, but most of the students, like 95%, qualify the exams.
Other: Nowadays, the scope for the IT field is very high. So, I chose this course. From 2022, there are no admissions for MCA, as this course is closed here. There are many fests and events going on, and one will like the events. There are about 8,000 students on campus, and free bus services are provided. Scholarships are provided.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: This college offers one of the best placements for the CSE program. The college has a perfect placement rate. The college placement council is extremely helpful and they guide us through the entire placement process. Our batch's highest salary package offer was around 40 LPA, and the average salary offer was around 10.75 LPA. During the placement drive, companies such as Accenture, Amazon, Bajaj Auto, CGI India, Capgemini, Big Basket, DE Shaw, Microsoft, Google, and Samsung visited our campus.
Infrastructure: College classrooms are large and open. The college library is large and well-stocked with books and international study journals. Two students share the hostel rooms at a time. The rooms are large and spacious, with two beds, two study tables, and two almirahs. The hostel is well-kept, and the rooms are cleaned five times per week. The hostel's mess food is healthy and tasty, however, the menu is limited. The positive point is there are 14 hostels, each with its mess. We can adjust the mess as per our preferences for a fee of Rs.83 per day. The hostel also provides us with internet access 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Faculty: This college's faculty is PhD-level with industrial experience, which is extremely beneficial to us. The faculty's teaching methods are so effective that we are captivated in class and fully comprehend the concepts. Semester exams are not much difficult to pass.
Other: The college campus life is fantastic. There are two major festivals. Tathva, the college's technical fest, held in August, while Ragam, the college's cultural fest, held in January. These two festivals are extremely popular among us.

It is a satisfactory institute with facilities. It provided high placements in 2019-20.
Placements: Almost 94% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 32 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 9-10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Cisco, Amdocs, Nokia and Goldman Sachs visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like software engineer, developer, data science, data analyst and content editor, are offered to the students. The highest salary package offered in our course is 32 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 8-9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5.5 LPA. Almost 68% of the students from our course got an internship in companies like Cisco, KLA, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, SAP Labs and FactSet.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, internet, LAN, labs, library, sports court, gymnasium, departments building, digital classrooms, hostels, canteens and mess. We have the best sports group on campus. Food served in the canteen is good. The college provides free medical facilities for students. Food served in the mess is south Indian, and it is average.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are PhD holder. They have experience of 2-3 years. Some teachers are from outside, and they are temporary teachers, i.e., ad hoc teachers. Teachers are knowledgeable, but not all. Their teaching quality is above average. The course curriculum is not so old, but there is always room for improvement.

Good placement with an average faculty members.
Placements: As the students think as if, some companies will come and simply hire you, this is not possible in the college. The placement depends upon the student's studies if you are good at the thing company wants then nobody will stop you from getting placed. The internship is provided by, only a few companies to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good, but its NIT?. About study room, they are pretty old, and what you can expect from NIT it is an old college, but the new buildings are good, hostels are good. But for some hostel, we aren't getting network inside our hostel. The labs are good.
Faculty: For MCA, ADOC teacher is assigned most of the time, and they lack the knowledge only some have good skills. The college's TMIF if you need any help you should know how to communicate in English only. For communicating, you don't have to be Wren n martin. For MCA, the faculty members are not that good, but for B.Tech and M.Tech they are good.
Other: Ragam is one of the top ten events among all colleges.

A combination of good and bad.
Placements: The placements were good. Many new startups also came for placements and selected many students for both internship and jobs. But, yeah! In recent years, the rate of placements is declining in this college. The highest salary offered was 13 LPA, and lowest salary offered was 6 LPA. More than 60% of the students got placed.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are provided. Labs and classrooms are good, and many of them are built recently and embedded with latest facilities. Food is okay in the canteen. Hostel rooms are fabulous. There are no infrastructure related problems I had to face till now.
Faculty: The faculty here is a mixture of both good and bad. The curriculum should be updated, so that we can get extra exposure to latest technology. The teaching method is very practical. Some teachers are very helpful and help the students to a very extent for excelling in the respected subjects.

Other: The faculty is good. More involvement of students in decision making and resource handling. Good campus. Facilities include a gym, swimming pool, cricket ground, football ground, auditorium, an open air theater etc. The placement is very good with lots of MNCs visiting the campus for recruitment. For hostels outside the campus, bus facility is provided. The campus is lush green. It has an incubator for start-ups.
