About good campus life and hostel facilities.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed. The highest package is around 18 LPA. The lowest package offered is around 4 LPA. Out of all the companies, around 40% of students are in core companies. Rest of the companies are sales and marketing related. Usually, 3rd year students get internship offers, and 4th year students get placements. Internship offer percentage is less, around 20%.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good with changing room allotments by year. In the first year, rooms are shared by 3 students (earlier 4). Second and third years stay in the Mega hostel with 2 students per room. In the final year, students can choose the campus hostels or the Mega hostel, with a single room provided. Wi-Fi or LAN is provided to all the hostels. Mess food is better than that in many colleges, with multiple mess options available. There is a health center outside the main campus.
Faculty: Semester exams are moderately tough, and most of the grading system is relatively. Everyone has to get a minimum of 40% marks in order to pass. All teachers here are highly qualified. Most professors maintain good teaching quality, though a few lack in this aspect. The old curriculum was followed till 2024. But I think it is completely restructured now for 2024 admissions onwards, and may make the students industry-ready.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering as I was interested in cars. Even though its not much popular nowadays, it's still one of the core branches and its value will remain as it is for the rest of the time. During my study, the curriculum was not industry-ready. Many lack the awareness of the skills that are needed in the companies. But a lot of changes have been made in the curriculum for the upcoming batches, and I believe this will be beneficial for them. Ragam and Tathva are the 2 fests conducted annually.

NIT Calicut Engineering Physics.
Placements: This is primarily a research course. Most people go for a masters degree or a Ph.D. degree. A very few 3 to 4 students out of 39 opt for placements, and they also get placed. Engineering Physics is counted in the circuit branch along with CSE, EEE, and ECE. We are taught electives from the ECE and EEE branches, so we are placed in similar companies and job roles as them.
Infrastructure: Mess is okay, not so good, and not so bad. Hostels for 1st year are a bit old. The 2nd year, we get new hostels which are way better than the 1st years. These new hostels are inaugurated 3 to 5 years ago. In first year hostels, there is a computer room, a visitor room, a common room which has TT table, Air hockey, Pool, Chess, Carrom, and a TV. We have a wedding machine installed on the ground floor, which has basic snacks and drinks. We have 3 washing machines also.
Faculty: All faculty are well qualified. All have done their Ph.D. from reputed indian institutes like IITs, IISc, IISER, and reputed foreign institutes as well. The material that they teach us is very good, and their teaching method is also good. In the first year, some courses are irrelevant for us, like Engineering graphics, mechanical workshop, etc. The curriculum after 1st year is very good. The main objective of this course is not to make students industry ready for companies, but to make students capable of getting offers from reputed institutes for Masters and Ph.D.
Other: If you want to build your career in research, but also want there to be more existing options, when I am not interested in research, then this is the best branch and college you should opt for. College culture is very good. We have workshops related to Physics every month, and there are events organized. The Cultural Fest Ragam is the biggest cultural fest of South India. Connectivity is a issue. You will not get Uber and Ola from airport to college. You need to opt for a local taxi that does not charge too much money.

The great campus and great placements in 2015.
Placements: Above 90% of the students have been placed, and the highest packages of 20 LPA and the lowest packages of 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are the architecture companies. About 40% of students got internships in the field of architecture.
Infrastructure: This is great infrastructure in the departments, which are very well maintained. Wi-Fi is less and the labs are very brilliant. The classes are five-star rated, the quality of the facility is not very nice, the food is very good, the canteen is brilliant, and sports and games are very good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, they are qualified, they have a Ph.D. from out of the country, and they make students industry-ready. It is very difficult to clear the exams, the papers are semester-wise, and stop at 20 credits per semester
Other: I chose this course to become an architect to design for companies. The best thing about this course is that there is a great scope for increasing demand for different designs of houses.

Good faculty and good placements.
Placements: 80%% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered is 50.64 LPA, the lowest package offered is 3 LPA, and the average package offered is 12.11 LPA in our course. Google, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Amazon. 85% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good in our course, like Wi-Fi is available 24 hours, and classrooms are very clean and hygienic. The library is also available. The quality of food is very good in the hostel. Medical facilities are also available, sick rooms are available, and the canteen food is good. Sports and games are all available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in studies and gaining knowledge. Teachers are very supportive and give the best teaching. The quality of teaching is very good and makes the students industry-ready. Course curriculum activities are also available, so semester exams in this college are difficult. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose chemical engineering to learn about the benefits and drawbacks of chemical engineering.

It gave me an exceptionally beautiful experience.
Placements: Around 80% of the people got placed from my course. The highest package was 34 LPA, the lowest was 5 LPA, and the average was 8.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Oracle and Caterpillar. Very few, around 30% got the internship in companies like Oracle, TVS, Bajaj, etc. Top roles offered were like application developer, associate engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was excellent, I would say. The infrastructure of the hostels, etc., from outside would be conventional, but the facilities are top-notch. The Wi-Fi is provided, power laundry is available, and the issues, if any, raised are also taken care of by the management with utmost care.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their fields and put their maximum efforts to deliver high-quality teaching to the students. The course is relevant to the curriculum, and it does make students ready for the future industry they will be going to work in. The semester exams are moderate to hard level, and they are designed to test our skills. The pass percentage varies from faculty to faculty, but I would say 35-40 percent.

NIT Calicut College review.
Placements: When it comes to packages, the highest average is between 20 LPA and 25 LPA, while the lowest average is around 15 LPA. We got about 80% of students placed in our course, which is solid. The top recruiters, I think, are food industry giants and well-known names like Tata and Mahindra. They are handing out some top roles.
Infrastructure: One noteworthy positive characteristic of the university is the statement of the modern infrastructure being accompanied by extra resources. The public library not only has a wide range of books and novels but also has different academic journals. The canteen is big and offers a variety of dishes and drinks that are served in a customer-friendly place. Students appreciate living in the well-managed hostel where the food is not only satisfactory but also meets the basic quality standards.
Faculty: The teachers are approachable and they take things step by step, therefore making the examples very simple and relatable for the students to understand. The exams are easy, and they mainly focus on conceptualizing the topic. The semester assessment is completely dependent on the high school curriculum and is easy in nature.
