One semester experience in NIT Mizoram

Placements: The placement at NIT Mizoram is decent. Last year, almost 83% of students in my branch (S3 batch) were placed by several companies. According to me, it's a decent and good placement rate.

Review of National Institute of Technology, mizoram.

Placements: Placements are good here. Since it is a temporary campus, mostly online interviews happen, so there is a chance you can get placed easily. The number of students here is less, which is also a good reason that you get placed as compared to other colleges.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Mizoram

Placements: In the last two years, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering (core branches) have had 100 % placement with an average salary of 8.4 LPA in 2022 and 9.8 LPA in 2023. Placements are increasing year by year. The faculties are good, but NIT Mizoram does not have a private campus; it is running on rented buildings.

The college runs on temporary campus but still has good placement and teaching facilities.

Placements: I am in my first year but recently one of our seniors from the CSE department got a PPO of 44 LPA from Microsoft. This motivated us to study more and get a package like that . Average package last year was 10 lpa . Companies like TCS , Alstrom, Mahindra , Adobe , Capgemini, etc. came last year .

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: 100 percent students were placed in our course. The highest package was around 15 lacs per annum and the average package offered was 8–9 lacs per annum. Around 20 percent of students got internships, I think. Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2023 but not satisfied with infrastructure and facilities, etc.

Placements: Previous year, 86 percent of students from my branch were placed. Most of them got placed in tech companies rather than core companies. The median CTC offered was 9 LPA , whereas the minimum is 6 LPA and the maximum is 14 LPA. Top recruiters are L&T , Vedanta , Deloitte, etc. The top roles offered for this branch are Power Systems Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Electrical Distribution Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, etc. Even you can apply for some government jobs for electrical engi...

Without permanent campus, the institute is still good.

Placements: Without a permanent campus, the institute still has good placements. Recently, a senior from the CSE department received a PPO of 44 LPA from Microsoft. I hope by 2028, the permanent campus is set up, and we also get good packages. The average package is 10+ LPA, which is good.

Placements: Almost 100% of students cracked the placement last year off campus, and the same goes for ME and CE. Top recruiters are Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, etc. The average or median package was 9.8 lakhs last year. This year's placement stats look even better than the previous year.

Placements: Around 30 students were placed. The highest package was around 15 LPA, the average package was around 8 LPA. Some top recruiters were Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Alstom, Unacademy, Lumiq, etc. The placement percentage was lower this year as compared to last year due to the recession.

Buildings are far off forcing us to walk alot.

Placements: This year 20 students have been placed till date with Avishek Gope (CSE) and Mukul Pathak (CE) being one the best among all. The top companies are L&T, Adobe, Ashok Leyland and others this time. Sanskar Sharma (ECE) also the best one. 35% of students placed right now. The roles offered are educator and software developed etc. The highest package as of now would be 20LPA.

Not much co-curricular activity but overall nice experience.

Placements: Outstanding placements in recent times have been recorded, with a lot of internship opportunities present. We get to know about different internships on and off campus on several social media platforms from the college to improve our resume and gain more skills in order to make ourselves industry-ready. The top companies are L&T, Ashok Leyland, Microsoft, etc. And all of them are offering decent packages too.

Faculty is supportive but infrastructure will disappoint.

Placements: The college has excellent placement opportunities, as top-notch companies like Google and Adobe hire students from here. Our record of good packages offered to students is also noteworthy. In comparison to other NITs in the North East region, our college has better placement opportunities than Nagaland and Manipur. The Training and Placement department is very supportive and helpful.

The weather and views are too good to be real.

Placements: 5/5 for placements, as one would not expect such good placements in reputed companies with good salaries in hand. Students are placed in Adobe, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Cognizant, Lumiq, and other big companies with decent packages. We are very proud to maintain a 70 percent placement ratio, even though not all students are eligible to sit for college placements.

Placements and curriculum are too well.

Placements: The top placement was given to Sanskar Sharma ECE branch this year, placed in both L&T and Adobe. The internships are also going all too well. Companies like Cognizant, L&T, Ashok Leyland and others have approached us. A decent number of students get placed each year, despite slumps in the global market.

Connectivity is a big issue here.

Placements: The highest package as of last year was 29.6 LPA and the lowest was 4.5 LPA. The percentage of students placed would be roughly 6–70 percent. I find that not that concerning. This year too, the placements are on a good track and we hope they will get better with time, as the last semester is still left with us. The top companies are Adobe, Microsoft, and Amazon.
