NIT Srinagar Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Approximately 50%-60% are placed in a year from my mechanical engineering batch. I am a student of NIT Srinagar mechanical engineering batch. A lot of students opt for off-campus placements and also for their own startups. The top recruiting companies for the mechanical engineering course are HCL, Wipro, etc.

Placements: In the year 2023, there were around 720 offers, and the highest package was in CS, being 36.5 LPA. The average package overall was 13 LPA. In the electrical department, the average package was around 8 LPA. The overall placement was decent. Tech Mahindra, JSW Group, and Capgemini were popular recruiters.

Placements: Placement rate is not good, many seniors having good CGPA do not get placement. The highest package is about 20 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. The average package is about 12 LPA. Sorry, but top companies don't come here. The percentage of students who got placement is also low.

Placements: NIT Srinagar has a decent placement, with companies like Wipro, Infosys, and Reliance visiting the campus regularly. The placement cell provides training for aptitude tests and interviews. Students must have more than 7.5 CGPA to be part of the placement interviews. The highest and average packages offered to students are 36.5 LPA and 13.8 LPA.

Placements: 76% of students from my department have gotten placement offers this year. The highest package offered this year is 13.90 LPA. The average package is 8.06 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are JSW, VEDANTA, RELIANCE, etc. Most of the students find internships by interacting with their seniors or applying through websites.

Placements: In B.Tech Civil Engineering, only 60% of students get placement. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. About 70 to 75% of students get internships offered by companies. Top roles offered are structural engineering and more.

Placements: On average, 40 to 50 percent of students get placed. 7 lac is the median package. Top recruiter companies include Tata Motors, Oracle, BHEL, HPCL, etc. 60 to 70 percent of students do internships in prestigious companies in their third year. Placement rates vary for different branches and batches.

Placements: Around 60% of students were placed overall in my course. The highest salary package offered is 16.9 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Vedanta, Rashmi Metallics, L&T, and JSW companies hire most from our course. RIL and BIS offer internship opportunities. RIL is currently offering internship opportunities that are paid. Students also got internships in PSUS but unpaid just for experience in the industries. Also, it is compulsory 1 credit course of tour and training.

Placements: Approximately 70 to 80 percent of students got placed in the Mechanical Engineering department. Last year, the highest package was 22 Lacs per annum, and the average was 6 Lacs per annum. Companies like HPCL, GAIL, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla, Growth Jockey, and Ashok Leyland come here.

Placements: The highest package offered was 18 LPA in Electrical Engineering, and the average placement was 10 LPA in Electrical Engineering. For internships, very few teaching companies visited, such as Oracle and Cummins India. Students, by themselves, approached companies for internships, and the internship percentage was 100%. Several companies visited the campus, such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, HPCL, BPCL, PGCIL, etc.

Placements: 7th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. In this ongoing year, many companies like Autodesk, Nvidia, Oracle, Samsung, Tata Steel, etc., visited for placements. The highest offer is from Autodesk, offered to two students, with a CTC of 35.5 LPA. The average package is around 10.48 LPA. Almost 75-80% of students get placed. I plan to get a good placement after my degree.

Placements: In this early placement season, a total of 21 students are placed: 5 placed in Tech at 6 LPA, 16 placed in core at 11.5 LPA. Rashmi Metallics was the top core recruiter for MME, Nexturn, and Acme Grade were other recruiters in Tech. Data might be increased now.

Placements: The roles offered are mostly in software development. Otherwise, on and off, Nvidia also visits for placement in the core sector, and I guess some other roles too. But in all of it, if you put in the work in any sphere of your branch, you are going to get a job. Not to mention the management thing most engineers do.

Placements: According to previous data in 2022, there was a 100 percent placement offer rate in the National Institute of Technology Srinagar. In 2022, nearly every engineering college had a lower placement percentage. In 2024, it is still ongoing, and according to seniors, it is average.

Placements: There are around 6 to 7 courses in our college which are CSE, IT, electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, and metallurgy. As per placements, we can say that around 62-70% of students from every branch got placed in one of the greatest companies of India like Vedanta and TCS. Some government companies like BHEL, etc., visit for placements.

Placements: Our institute has a placement cell. It helps students to acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L&T, and Nvidia visit our campus. It provides jobs in every field from information tech to material-related jobs. Here, job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day, about 30-40 students got placed with an average salary package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for the CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute. Placements: 30 students got placed in Civil Engineering. The highest package was 8 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. Vedanta and TATA were the top recruiting companies. Different companies take part in placement sessions, in which most of the Computer Science and Information Technology students get jobs more than other branches.

Placements: Around 70-80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 19 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. Samsung. Around 85 percent of students got internships. The fest is not that crazy, but the view of the college is too good, and it is a very safe campus. If you work hard in any branch on this campus, you will get placed.

Placements: About 70%-80% of students are placed. A good number of top companies visit this college to hire students for internships and jobs. The average salary package ranges from 8 LPA - 10 LPA. For the IT branch, numerous opportunities are provided by the college. The highest salary package of the college last year was 24 LPA.

Placements: Placements are quite poor, mostly with IT companies and a few core companies. If I don't receive any placements, I planned to write the GATE exam for my branch, as the competition is very low. I would suggest this for students pursuing my branch.
