Review of NIT Puducherry - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: 50 percent of students were placed in the IT sector. The highest package as of now is 16 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are ABB, CDOt, Accenture, etc. 50 percent of students got internships from my course and in Lenevo company.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are average because it was constructed only 4 years ago. The Wi-Fi will be there strongly sometimes, and the Wi-Fi will be there very little sometimes, so it is difficult for us to use the internet. The food qualities will be bad.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers in the national institute of technology Puducherry will be more helpful, and the quality of their knowledge is very high, and they are so knowledgeable. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and the students from our industry were ready.
Other: I chose this course because I'm very interested in physics.

All about NIT Puducherry.
Placements: Around 77% of students are placed in our batch this year with average packages. The highest package offered is 20 LPA and the average package offered is 7-8 LPA. This year, Samsung, ABP, and many more companies visited our institute. Half of the students got internships in companies like ONGC.
Infrastructure: The facilities given in classrooms are good enough. There are 10 fans in every classroom with good ventilation. There is good Wi-Fi network everywhere in the Science block where classes are going on. The library contains every textbook included in our course. Hostel rooms are good.
Faculty: The best thing in our institute is the faculty members. They are highly qualified and have a wide range of knowledge in their respective fields. Our college is following NEP, that is, New Education Policy. It has the most updated syllabus. Semester exams are easy only if you have studied in class.
Other: EEE is the best after CSE in our institute. Sports facilities need improvement. Fests are average.

Good but can be more better.
Placements: 59 students are studying in this batch of electronics and communication engineering. The maximum package this year was 15 Lacs. The internships are mostly done by the students themselves, college doesn't help the students for finding any internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so bad. Since it's under construction, it is a bit difficult to walk and since our hostels are a bit far from college, it makes it difficult to walk so far. The Wi-Fi is not so good on the college campus and also in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good but since the new education policy the curriculum has been bit difficult. Sem exams are not so difficult and this also depends on the professor. 40 percent is the pass percentage. The course not help the students in getting ready for the industry.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2026

Don't judge a college by its tag.
Placements: This year, almost 30 percent of students from civil engineering got placed. Generally, companies like ABB, Ford-IT, Next TURN, L&T, BOSCH Global software and Samsung offer a median to high package. In civil engineering, the placement scenario is worse; most of the offers are for CSE or IT-related. This time, one senior Anna from Civil got a package of 1.2 LPA that also included CTC. The highest package in the core was approximately 15 lpa.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, this college is worse. Currently, it is in the developing phase. Wi-Fi is lower-band, classrooms are not AC-fitted, and the library is not enhanced enough to be called a central library. Only a handful of books are available there. For girls, there is AC in the hostels; it's called Moyar Hostel. For boys, we have two hostels, one in Bharali and another in Bhavani. In hostels, you will get yellow water that will help you attain your 30 quickly, because at the age of 20, you will start to look like an older guy due to excessive chair falls. Mark my words, you will experience the worst life here and no authorities even care about it.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly but not well trained. If you are good enough to establish a sweet relationship with them, you will excel in academics. Teaching quality is far below the standards of an institute of national importance. I am happy with the course curriculum because it gives you the freedom to choose subjects from different departments. As per the rules of NEP 2020, a student with a decent CGPA has the academic freedom to choose a major from a different department. But this year, the authorities here compelled us to go with the minor option instead of a major for our own comfort, citing the infrastructural limitations.
Other: I was interested in getting the NITian tag, so in the search for mirage, I landed here. Now I am regretting my choice. The best thing about this college is that it doesn't exist. As of now, you have to wait 10 more years to discover if any better things are yet to come. Events here are neither entertaining nor creative; they are not even engaging. The most active club here is Hotshots, the dance club. I do like them. But they only dance to Tamil songs; it feels like they are still living in the old Bollywood era.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 85 percent of the students who go for placements get placed. Companies like ABB and QBit are offered in NITPY. An average package of 9 LPA is given. Internships are offered from companies like Ericsson, and small-scale industries like NSIC, which train the students in different roles.
Infrastructure: Labs and libraries are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. The hostel is good, with a cot, table, chair, and cupboard provided for each student. The food in the mess is okay, and medical facilities are provided 24/7.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and they make us knowledgeable; both professors and assistant professors teach well. Yes, the labs do help us with industry-related skills, but in most cases, it is up to us to learn. The semesters are okay if you are well-prepared.

This is a college under development.
Placements: The placement statistics say approximately 95% of those who appear for the placement get a hiring letter. The highest package in recent years is evolving around 25–30 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Zoho, L&T, ABB, SAMSUNG and many more companies recruit students from this college. In my class, people are opting for paid internships. Top roles include data analyst, data processing supervisor, program developer, etc.
Infrastructure: It's currently under development. Pentagon will take 2 more years; similarly, multiple buildings are being constructed for residence. Wi-Fi is bad and classrooms are not AC-fitted. The library is primitive and the labs are not hi-tech. Very limited sports facilities are there. Here we have a single basketball court, a single badminton court, a single volleyball court and 2 volleyball courts. Foods in a mess are not up to par. They are neither nutritious nor tasty but still, they charge 23,000 per semester as a mess fee.
Faculty: One teacher in CSE simply copied from the YouTube channel. One teacher gives a crystal clear explanation but doesn't hesitate to get students clean-brained in the exam. So at the very least, I can say they are qualified but not experienced and updated. The course curriculum is relevant. The difficulty of exams compounds with each passing semester, so be careful.
Other: I wanted CSE in an NIT and this was the most luminous option for me. I wish they should use digital methods to make classes more engaging. Leciel i is a cultural festival, but it needs a drastic improvement as all the invited guests are local and predominantly Tamil; there is no space for other languages. There is nothing like crowd life here.
