NIT Puducherry Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Pondicherry

Placements: This year, almost 30 percent of students from civil engineering got placed. Generally, companies like ABB, Ford-IT, Next TURN, L&T, BOSCH Global software and Samsung offer a median to high package. In civil engineering, the placement scenario is worse; most of the offers are for CSE or IT-related. This time, one senior Anna from Civil got a package of 1.2 LPA that also included CTC. The highest package in the core was approximately 15 lpa.

Placements: The placement statistics say approximately 95% of those who appear for the placement get a hiring letter. The highest package in recent years is evolving around 25–30 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Zoho, L&T, ABB, SAMSUNG and many more companies recruit students from this college. In my class, people are opting for paid internships. Top roles include data analyst, data processing supervisor, program developer, etc.

Placements: 59 students are studying in this batch of electronics and communication engineering. The maximum package this year was 15 Lacs. The internships are mostly done by the students themselves, college doesn't help the students for finding any internship.

Placements: Previously placement was not that good. This year the highest in mech was 15 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA average was 7 LPA. Abb, cognizant, ola, zoho visited for placement drive. No student got internship in 3 year. Top roles are like instrumedesign, vehicle management etc.

Placements: In CSE, the placement is decent but in comparison to other colleges still need to be improved. By the way one positive news is that the placement is increasing drastically every year. The highest package of the college is 40 Lacs per annum but that was grabbed in off campus placement. For In campus placement the highest figure is approximately 22 LPA. Placements: 80% students got placed in my department this year. The highest package offered was 15 LPA by Abbs. L&T visited this campus. 5 to 10 percent students got internship. All of the students got placed in core sector and very few in IT sector.

Placements: Placement is decent. This year approximately 98% student got placed with average CSE package10 Lacs per annum and the highest package 40 Lacs per annum &T is the largest se student got placed in tech companies as app developer and programming engineers. Civil student also got placed with average salary 6 Lacs per annum.

Placements: Placements are good in our college. Many MNCs visit our college and conduct interviews. Salary depends on students' skills. Faculty members are taking care of placements and are performing a key role in getting placed for students with a minimum package. Almost every student gets placed in our college.

Placements: Most of the people from ECE department will get placed but package depends on the skills of individuals. Most of the ECE students will get placed in it stream, very few students get placed in core companies. As campus is developing rapidly and strength of the campus is increasing placements for the further years will surely increases alot. And average package is 4L per annum at present.

Placements: Almost 25% of the students in our college were placed. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. I don't know about the companies recruiting. It is a good college, and the percentage of students may be increased in future.

Placements: Placements are quite good in NIT Puducherry. As it has been only 7 years since it was established, the placements were reasonably good. Few students got even 6 LPA and 7 LPA packages. The companies visited were ZOHO, Itron, Mphasis, Intellect, Inatech, IBM, Sapient, Great west, Trimble, Tresvesta, and Capgemini. Among these Itron gave 7LPA and Capgemini offered 6 LPA. Placements: Placements were really good this year. In CSE, 19 out of 25 students got placed till now and good number of students were placed in ECE and EEE. Students have a good talent here and that is what reflected in placements. College placement coordinator is striving for the college placements.

As it is a new NIT, college operates at temporary campus called Anna Arts College so the campus is not big as compared to other NITs. Our campus construction is going on and estimated to finish the work within a year. Once it’s constructed, it's going to be an excellent campus compared to other with all facilities. Placements: As the national Institute of Technology, Puducherry is a newly formed Institute, there are no good placements. We have to struggle a lot for placements, the offered companies asking at least for sixty five percentage. Highest salary offered is six lakhs per annum. And the lowest is two lakhs. Only twenty five percentage students were placed. Average salary offered is three lakhs.
