NMIMS School of Design Courses & Fees 2025

NMIMS School of Design, Mumbai offers a B.Des programme in Humanising Technology at Undergraduate level. Minimum criteria to apply for the programme is HSC with total 50% in all subjects. The admission is granted on the basis of a valid score and merit in NMIMS-DAT above 80 percentile are required to get selected. The questions and discussions in the studio test and interview revolve around problem-solving, design thinking, technology awareness and interest of the individual. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent course from any recognised board in India with minimum of 50 percentage in all subjects and the age of candidates must not cross 25. This is the eligibility criteira followed by other entrance exams like UCEED or NMIM DAT or MSBSCHSE.

Selection process starts from a NMIMS design aptitude test which comprises of studio test portfolio interview and personal interview and all these test are scheduled on single day and around minimum 50 percentage required in Dat. UCEED and NMIMS DAT exm is also considered for taking admission in this college.

The last date for NMIMS School of Design, NMIMS Vile Parle West Mumbai BSc online registration was on June 2, 2024. Candidates must visit the official website of NMIMS School of Design and make registration with name, a valid number and email ID. Further, candidates must apply for the course before the last registration date and appear for the online computer-based entrance exam, was conducted on 8 June, 2024 

NMIMS School of Design accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate design programs :- 

• NMIMS Design Aptitude Test (DAT) :-
  This is NMIMS' own entrance test specifically for design admissions
  It has a written aptitude test, case study analysis and creative ability assessment
  DAT scores are mandatory for all NMIMS design programs.
• NID DAT :-
  Scores from National Institute of Design's Design Aptitude Test are also accepted
  NID DAT also assesses creative and design abilities through multiple choice questions and case studies.
• CEED
  Common Entrance Examination for Design conducted by IIT Bombay
  Tests visual perception, creativity, drawing, etc. CEED qualified candidates can apply for NMIMS design programs.
• UCEED
  Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design accepted for B.Des admissions
  Conducted by IIT Bombay to assess design-based thinking skills
• In addition, candidates have to provide Class 12th percentage, portfolio, Standardized tests scores (SAT, in specific cases) as applicable for different NMIMS design admissions.

In conclusion, NID DAT, CEED, and UCEED scores are required, but NMIMS DAT scores are required in order for candidates to apply to the school of design's design programs.
