A:

There are many courses available to pursue at North Eastern Regional Institute of Management like BBA, BCA, MBA, M.Com, B.Com, M.Sc etc. All these courses are good in their respective fields, but if we talk about the best course, it will  be MBA. This is because of many reasons, the course curriculum of MBA is best among all other courses, and is most industrial oriented. Q:   Is North Eastern Regional Institute of Management Tier 1 or Tier 2?

A:

NERIM is generally classified as a Tier 2 institution. While it has established a good reputation in the northeastern Indian region for its management and professional courses, it does not carry the same national ranking or recognition as Tier 1 institutions like IIMs or top national universities. NERIM is quite practical and offers good placement opportunities, which are attractive for students in the region. But for those who wish to be highly recognised Tier 1, it is not the best option.

NERIM provides good infrastructure.
Placements: NERIM facilitates placement for the students. Almost 90% students get placement from MBA student. But very number of students get placement from M.Com. Salary offered by recruiters is 15000-20000. Top role's offered by the companies is HR, Sales manager.
Infrastructure: NERIM provides good facilities to students. Classrooms are facilitates with AC's. There is a big library where different type of book's are available. It helps to boost the knowledge of the students. Nerim facility two hostels 1 for girls and the other for boys the girls hostel is inside the premises. It has canteen and sport's inside the premises.
Faculty: The faculty members of nerim is wonderful the teachers werevery helpful and enthusiastic. They always try to help the student in the best possible way. They always try to give information which will help in the practical field. They are very knowledgeable. Yes the courses circulum is relevant it helps the students almost ready for the industry.

Satisfied as it gave me exposure and such good opportunities.
Placements: We were called for placements in 2-3 companies. One of our students got placed too. As we were the second batch from M.Com so placements were not too much. But the scope of placements opens up as the project work is involved. The MBA placements are better than the M.Com placements. You also cant expect placements for an M.Com graduate as no companies are ready to recruit an M.Com student. The packages that were offered was an average of 3-4 lakhs PA. Though there are no placements, you would have an exposure as there are seminars that help the students in the field work and their future.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure with AC classrooms and smart classes projectors and boards. New building coming up beside the new building alongside the canteen and the parking. There are two staff rooms and an ample amount of open space available in the building with no problems. Everyone loves the building.
Faculty: Awesome teachers and faculty who support you and are so friendly with you that they become your family too. Very supportive, qualified and helpful teachers.

It is a very good college. I recommend it to students who want to pursue in the commerce stream.
Placements: Almost 150 students got selected from M.Com from which maximum of them was promoted from B.Com. Out of 150 students, 10 students were placed around the whole Guwahati city. Amway, Amul, Jonsons and Jonsons and Hotel Vivanta were some of the companies which offered jobs. Top roles were given according to the students' performance. Students are offered jobs for 1 year and also for 3 months. Almost 23% of the students got an internship, and most of the students got jobs as a school teacher.
Infrastructure: There are 3 buildings with 3 floors. Free bags were given, and free Wi-Fi support is also available for all students. There are many departments out of which MBA, BBA, B.Com and M.Com are some of the main ones. The library is available here, and students are allowed to borrow books for the running semester. Canteen is descent, and there is also a parking place. Sport and many activities are organised by the college. All classrooms are air-conditioned.
Faculty: Maximum of the teachers were very helpful and skilled. They are PhD holders in their subjects and help in every way they can. Students are taught well theoretically and practically. All concepts are cleared by the end of the last semester. It is one of the best colleges in the whole city.

Q:   Is it easy to get admission in North Eastern Regional Institute of Management?

A:

Securing admission to the North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) is seen as easy most times only considering the programme one seeks to apply for and the admission requirements. Below are some points of concern for the admissions procedures:

Eligibility Criteria: For the MBA program, typically aspirants must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field from an acknowledged institution. Some courses may stipulate specific entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, or the university’s own test?

Application Process: The admission procedure commonly entails the completion of an application form, the submission of supporting materials (e.g. University transcripts), and residence in an interview depending on the course applied for especially postgraduate ones.

Entrance Exam: In as much as some candidates may find it advantageous to sit for exams such as CAT or MAT which are at the national level, NERIM may also want some candidates to take its own entrance exam thereby cutting out some of the college candidates with extremely low test scores on the nation’s standardized exams?

Past Trends: This is because the admission procedure is very easy to them especially those seeking courses like BBA which has very simple basic eligibility criteria.
