It is a good college with good staff.

Placements: Placements here are average. The major company that comes is TCS, which is a mass recruiter. It is followed by Zycus, Mind Tree and many others. TCS employs more than 50 percent of the students. Whereas, the other companies recruit the rest. Placement percent here is around 70%.

An average college in all matters.

Placements: TCS is the only mass recruiter. Mostly, students from CS, IT, and ECE are placed. The average package is around 3 LPA. Earlier, many companies used to visit every year but now, not so many companies visit. The placement is less compared to the previous years. You can get detailed placement record on the college website.

Not so good infrastructure, faculty is somewhat good, placement is not so good.

Placements: The placement of my college was good for senior batches. To be placed in a good company, you will have to fulfill their criteria. Almost 40% students got placed with an average package of Rs. 3.25 lakhs. The highest package was Rs. 5.25 lakhs. Companies that were available to recruit are TCS, Accenture, Amazon and many more.

It is a good college in terms of providing placements, faculty and workshop. The electrical department is the highest placed department in here. ENTC has also good strong facilities. The placement provided by the college is quite decent. Infrastructure is up to the mark. It has got a huge auditorium. The fact is that the college provide little scope to core campuses but it provide many software campuses.

This college is a typical private engineering college. You should not expect much IIT level facilities from here. Different points are mentioned below: - Infrastructure- The infrastructure is good as there is greenery all around. There are different buildings for different departments in the college. Faculty- The faculty is good, except for the faculty members who teach us in the first year. You should not be too dependent upon them. Placements- CSE branch has a 100% placement guarantee, the ...

OEC is one the first private colleges in Bhubaneswar, Orissa and has a 60 acre campus. The college infrastructure is not so impressive but there is an auditorium, which is the biggest in Orissa. There is a boys’ hostel in campus for only first year students and after that you have to manage your own accommodation. Bus is provided by the college for the students who live outside the campus. Girls’ hostel is available in the college. Seniors are supportive and no ragging is done. There is bank, po...

It’s good in education but the placement is very low. I want that government should take proper action towards the path of placement. It is the first private college of Odisha and also the semi government facilities. In the sense of faculty, they do not teach us in a proper manner so that the student get benefited from college. And the faculties do not give good grade marks. They give good marks to only their nearer student means that student is known by teacher. It’s like discrimination between...

Orissa Engineering College is a kind of old and renounced college, but as the days gone the quality of teaching is degraded day by day. Now coming towards campus recruitment earlier a lot of company used to recruit from here but now it is also degrading day by day. In general it is not worth studying in this college. So study hard and try and avoid taking admission in this college.

It is the oldest private engineering college in Odisha. Computer Science as well as Information Technology is one of the best options here. Placement record is also good (at least those who know something technical get jobs easily). Infrastructure as well as location is quite poor. Hostel facilities are like ok.

Orissa Engineering College (OEC) is the first private engineering college to be established in Orissa. But study is not good as its name. Transportation is also bad. But placement is quite good. OEC is good college also. There are no hostel for boys from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students.

Review of Orissa Engineering College.

Placements: Most of the roles are offered by IT companies. TCS was the major company which used to visit our college for placements earlier. But now, the condition of placements is very bad. Now, most of the students are opting for off-campus drives.

placement is not good, teaching is not up to the mark.

Placements: Earlier, 2 years ago our college placement was best. But from the last one year, it has declined very much. Earlier TCS, Wipro, and so on were the main recruiters, but now not many companies are visiting our college. Now basically you have to look for off-campus.

I suggest that the college should focus on more practical classes.

Placements: About 60% of the students got placed from our course last year. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Royal Infrastructure, Shri Ram Panels and Tega Industries. The top roles offered in our course are trainee, assistant engineer and HR. The highest salary package offered in our course was 6 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4...
