Review of Orissa Engineering College.

Placements: The college had 40% placement. The college is not so good in placements. Basically, in civil engineering, the placements are very poor. Not much good companies are available for better placements. There is no placements assurance for the students future, and it is considered as harassment as far as related to the career of students, but preparation facility for placement is good.

I am satisfied partially with the campus, but overall, the college is nice.

Placements: Overall, the placements were excellent. Around 70% of the students were placed in reputed companies in India. Our head of the training and placement cell treated students as their own child and gave their best effort to enlighten our lives. The highest salary would be around 7 LPA, and the lowest would be 3.5 LPA.

Satisfactory environment in the college

Placements: Mainly, TCS is recruiting most of the students but many other companies are giving placements too such as Wipro, Amazon, etc. I can't remember all the names but placements went very well since last four years. Though there is a downfall in placements since last two years, I can't say for sure what it will lead to in the upcoming years.

Average placements in 2017. Really good infrastructure and lab facilities. Some teachers are good.

Placements: The placement was not good in our college. Only software companies visited our college this year. Only 3-4 companies were on-campus, rest all were either pool campus or off-campus companies. Only 20% students were placed. The highest package was 4.6 LPA and the lowest was 2.6 LPA. Companies like TCS, Zycus, etc. visited our college and companies like Tech Mahindra, UX Reactor, Hind Rectifier Pvt. Ltd., Harpy Core Network India Ltd., JMC Project, etc. conducted recruitment drives off-campus. ...

Satisfying placements in 2016. Cooperative faculty. Nice infrastructure.

Placements: The placements were very good. At our time, TCS was the mass on-campus recruiter. The college never differentiates. All the students get a fair chance to sit in all placement drives. Apart from TCS, the college pulled many more off-campus placement drives such as Mindtree, Accenture, Prolifics, HCL, Capgemini, etc. It even conducted online hiring examinations such as Aspiring Minds. The average salary offered at our time- 3 lacs. Highest salary offered- 4 lacs. Lowest salary offered- 1.28 lacs. ...

OEC has a very pleasant study atmosphere for learning and exploring self-worth

Placements: The placement is very good. Major mass recruiters like TCS, Mindtree and Zycus have a very good recruiting capacity from this college. The students also have options for off-campus placements of certain branches and get selected in vivid firms. There are good placements recorded in certain branches like computer science, information technology and electronics departments.

An average engineering college.

Placements: The placements in the college are good. More than 60% of the students got placed with the average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum. TCS, Tech Mahindra, Zycus, Adani, MindTree, etc. were the few major companies. There's no kind of internships, but college provides approval for the training in different companies. I have got trained in BSNL for 1 month, and there's no stipend provided. I have paid Rs.6000 for training.

Good college for those who really want to study.

Placements: Placements were okay. Three to four core companies come for placements. Also, a lot of companies came from the IT sector. So overall, placements are average or we can say good. Placement officers are also very co-operative. The major recruiter is TCS. This year, it selected around 107 students from various branches.

Placements: There is 80% placements having a majority of IT companies. The T&P department is very active and trying to increase the campus placements. All the companies are above average with good quality and services in the market. All the companies are well-established and above 3 years in the market.

College -It will be fun always, but OEC have some eye candy things which are described below 1. Auditorium 2. No Ragging Policy 3. Lecturers and Professors 4. Cultural Fest 5. Placement All the above you can get anywhere if you have the capability to get into any deemed university colleges But the major concern is the placement factor ,Ideally speaking if you have more than 60% throughout then getting into TCS from this college will be just like giving your practical exams in schools but i...

It had a good experience in this college. The faculty members are average. The teachers are very helpful and friendly. The labs and the study material provided are good. Ragging rarely takes place in this college. The placements are average and are not guaranteed. The top students get jobs. Infrastructure is awesome. It has the biggest auditorium in Orissa. Overall, if you want to study hard and get placed, you should join this college.

First of all the college is the oldest private engineering college not only in Odisha but in east India. There are six departments with civil branch is best. Faculties are well experienced but at the same time they are few and now college arrange some new faculties for teaching purposes that is something to be improved. The campus is at outskirts of Bhubaneswar city but college provide plenty of buses so that's not a problem. Campus placements are good with TCS recruits the most of students irre...

College environment is very nice. It is worth the money and better than other private colleges. 40-50 companies come at the time of placements. We have a very nice, social and cultural environment. Professors are very friendly and some are very talented. Management is very good and social fest is organized by students every year.

One of the oldest college of Odisha. Being a private college, it matched up with government colleges. But now it runs on the legacy image. Faculty was good. Infrastructure in not upto the mark. Location is good but not easily accessible. Hostel is not like other colleges. Labs are not up to date. Canteen is small with limited food availability. After all this, I would recommend it due to the good faculty.
