Review of Pragjyotish College.
Placements: The college has a career counseling cell and, from time to time, collabs with different organizations and organizes counseling programs. Internship programs are also organized by tie-ups with renowned institutes. Placement offers are not guaranteed here.
Infrastructure: The classrooms of our department were good, and seating capacity was adequate. The classrooms had projectors and white boards. There was also a dedicated lab and library for our department. The college only has a girls hostel; many of my friends stay there, and according to them, the hostel is above average. Food quality is average, and there is a running water supply.
Faculty: The teachers mostly held a Ph.D. They were very knowledgeable and some were very well aware of how to address a students problem. They had good insight and expertise in the subject matter and tried to explain and resolve students' doubts. The course was according to the curriculum provided by the Gauhati University. And was well enough to help a student gain insights into the subject and gain their knowledge. The exams were held by the Gauhati University and the exams were somewhat tricky and mostly conceptual. The papers are sometimes a bit too long, and sometimes some general knowledge is also required to answers them. One can pass the exam with some effort and study but to score well, they have to be persistent.
Other: The course I opted for was for geography, as I was an aspirant for civil services. The department offered good infrastructure and tools in the subject and had its own laboratory and library, which is, to be honest, a good one—not the best but above most of the other colleges. The course somewhat needs to address what is required in real life in practical terms, not something only good on the paper. The college hosted a couple of events time and again, starting from the freshers meet in September to the annual college week in March. In between multiple events and fairs are organized by different organizations of the college.

Best college in government sector.
Placements: Placement facility was not available in our college. In future, they may develop this facility. We were studying bachelors degree in pargyotish college, and after finishing master degree, we will be searching for job.
Infrastructure: My department is Anthropology. Our labs were very awesome and all the elements were available. Our department classrooms were very clean and projector facility was available. Canteen was very hygienic and clean. There was no boys hostel in pragyotish college, and only girls hostel was available outside the campus.
Faculty: Teaching quality was very good and the teachers were very friendly in our department. Our teachers were very helpful. Semester exams were very difficult and very strict.
Other: Our college environment was very eco friendly and beautiful. I chose anthropology, because this department teachers were very friendly and helpful.

The college is average. It isn't that good for placements, but you can go for a general course.
Placements: The college doesn't provide any courses that provide placements. It is a region where the administration needs to work hard. Placements should be made an area of diligence here. Otherwise, other courses are quite good.
Infrastructure: The canteen needs to be more hygienic. The quality of the food is also not up to the mark of healthy. Sometimes it is too oily, and at times it is undercooked. There should be a better laboratory for practical classes. Wi-Fi is still not accessible to many students. Extracurricular activities should be made available to the students.
Faculty: Teachers are like guardians to us, and they are always ready to help us in the course. They motivate us much for everything. The quality of teaching is far better than other infrastructure of the college. The pass percentage is good. However, more emphasis should be given.
Other: The best course here is BA in anthropology. Faculty members are very good and helpful. There are not many fests and events for students, which should be increased.

Satisfied with good faculty.
Placements: 55% of students were placed in our course. The highest package is 2 lakh, the lowest package is 80,000, and the average package is 80,000 to 1 lakh. Top recruiting companies for our course are the Survey of India and the National Museum of Delhi. 47% of students got internships from our course. Top roles offered in our course are Archaeologists, Professors, Teachers, and it is helpful for UPSC aspirants.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course include labs, classrooms, a library, and a discussion room. The quality of the facilities in our hostel includes a playground, basketball court, etc., and the healthy quality of food available in the mess.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is very great due to explanations with examples. Yes, this curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in knowing important facts about my own country, India. The best thing about my course is learning about my Indian history, like ancient history. Improvements in English are required. Scholarships, including NSP scholarships, are available.
