College has improved in 2018 but placements were the worst as of 2017.

Placements: The placements we're not that great during out time. Only 22 out of 80 were placed through campus interviews. TCS, Bitwise, Zensar, TPT and then startups were few of the companies that visited the campus. 3-5 Students got internships. The TPO was not that good and he was escalated from the college due to bad Placement. However the placements have increased considerably in 2018 due to new TPO.

Average college for average student.

Placements: As I heard the placements were poor for the mechanical branch as around only 2-3 students were only placed from one division and there are 3 divisions, but the placements of other departments like computer science and IT are pretty good. About 50%+ students have been placed, and the average package was 3.5 LPA for them, the highest was 5.5 LPA, And there is a placement cell in my college, but it is not very active.

Overall Decent place for Completing graduation.

Placements: Placements are Decent, The Training and Placement Team always keep on sharing information about the upcoming placement drives with the students, thus helping the students to choose a drive depending on your calibre. Guidelines are always given to make the interview experience a fruitful one.

All you want to know about PES Modern College of Engineering.

Placements: The college is not a great college in terms of the placements. As far as mechanical is considered, only 3-4 companies visited the college last year for the placements with an average package of around 2.5 LPA and only 5-6 students got placed. For other branches, the condition is more or less the same.

Absolutely dissatisfied with placements, good academics but non co operative staff.

Placements: Honestly speaking the placement is very poor in modern college. Most of the students were unplaced even at the end of the last year. As per the reputation college does not stands its reputation. Seniors also find their job on their own. After the completion of the last year college asks students to go for open drives at other colleges and other places that is why they can show some placement.

Good college but the faculty members are not up to the mark.

Placements: Regarding the placements, it is good in this college. Some of the companies like TCS, Persistent, Vyom labs, Real mile software have visited the college, and in our batch, 20-30 people have got selected in those companies. In case if there are no companies to visit the college for the placements, then the college provide with off-campus placement calls, and many of the students get placed with the off-campus placements. You can't wait for the college to invite the companies for the placements.

The college is just okay. Be prepared to study on your own.

Placements: Whichever branch you choose, there are more chances of getting placed in IT sector. Hardly, any core company visit the college for placements. But not many IT companies visit the college for placements. The placements cell of our college always gives the information about off-campus placement drives.

It is a very good college. You need to be very intellectual while taking admission in this college.

Placements: 20-25% students were placed during that period. Mechanical, electrical, electronics and telecommunications students get less placement compare to IT and CSE. The higher rated companies which provide best packages will come over here. IT and CSE have good placements.

Not much satisfied because of the improper management.

Placements: During our tenure, not many companies visited the college. Mostly, they were of BPO profiles, then what's the point of studying engineering. Hardly, 7-8 companies visited the college. This year onwards, the college is having a quite good number of companies as compared to last year. The proper guidance was not given about the placements.

The infrastructure of the college is not good but faculty and their teaching technique are good

Placements: Placements in our college were neither good nor bad. Approximately 50-60% of students were placed from our batch through the campus. The highest salary offered was Rs.30,000 and the lowest was Rs.8,000. Telecom and IT companies visited the college. No student got the internship from our batch in the college.

An average college for an average student.

Placements: Below average placement facilities. Inactive training and placement officer. A good choice if you are willing to get an IT job but not core jobs. If you are planning on pursuing master's further, I would recommend this college to you. But if you are looking for an instant job opportunity after completion of the course, this college is not for you.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty and placement in PES Modern College of Engineering.

Placements: There are average placements in our college. Students will not be fully satisfied with placements. 20% students were placed last year. The highest salary of students in Modern College was 4 lakhs. Students are not interested in doing the internship and the college also does not provide the facility of internships.

The declining story of modern college.

Placements: Placements are not really good. People from CS and IT would be fine but all other branches don't do that well. Moreover, the packages and profiles which they were offered are not that impressive. Companies like TCS does visit us and do take a lot of students with them. If you are willing to study in future as well, then choosing this college won't affect anything.

Bad placements, decent infra.

Placements: Placements are not good. Only IT companies come and that too select a few students. 100% placements is a distant dream. The average package offered by those who come hovers around 2-3 lakhs. Don't join this college if you want decent placement. No chance of getting placed if you opt for core engineering subjects.

Poor placements. Opt for this college if you are doing engineering only for a degree.

Placements: At our time, the placements were not very good. The average package was only 3 lakhs per annum. Many students were not even placed. Like every other college, we mostly had IT companies which were offering roles of IT consultant. Some students did get a high package.

Dissatisfied by placement scenario, provision and encouragement for sports.

Placements: For my batch, TCS was the first company to come for the campus placement in the mechanical department. They were offering 3 LPA, and the job required placed students to learn coding. None of the selected students went ahead with the job as they were interested in staying in their core field. NealSoft was the next company, who hired a couple of the toppers, again an IT company. Bridgestone contacted only selective students and let them appear for the interview, there was no percentage criteria or...

Decent college for sincere students and the best college for the held backs and party animals.

Placements: Placements are good. TCS bracket companies come in. Mostly companies with profiles of Sales Engg are come in. Highest salary offered was 7.5LPA at Nvidia. Lowest was 2.2 for some startup. 35-40% of the people got placed by the end of the year in mainstream companies. Off campus data is not available.

It is an average college and is just for the students to get a degree.

Placements: There are not enough companies coming to the college, just 4 or 5 are coming, which is not enough for at least 70% of the students to get their seats. The college TPO is least bothered about the placements. The highest package offered by a company is 3 lacs. Hence, the students have to find their jobs by themselves.

It is not a good college but it's neither the worst college around too! No placement (0%) except Comps, I.T. E&TC branch. No extra curriculum activity, NO supporting staff, it’s like school for your attendance. Another major issue is that most of the staff & student and others are Brahmins so there are partiality issues. And that is my personal experience, I wasted my 4 years, don't waste yours.

As the college is located in the heart of Pune, its campus is small but adjustable. The teachers are supportive, the canteen of the college is really bad, and one needs to look after their food arrangements before joining it. The college placement activities are average. Cultural activities and extra-curricular activities are rare.
