Review of MBBS life in RGKMCH, hostel, canteen, fest, etc.
Placements: It is an MBBS course so everyone will get job and before that, an internship happens in our own hospital. Students earn 35k per month in internships. Later, you have to prepare for NEET PG. Later, you can join as junior president and as house president.
Infrastructure: The library is air-conditioned, big and accessible to all. Labs are well equipped with microscopes. For anatomy, enough cadavers are given to each group. Inter-college cricket and football competitions are arranged every year. Our college has 4 canteens, all of which are affordable and provide good food. Veg and non-veg, everything is available. Classrooms are cozy and air-conditioned.
Faculty: Our professors in all departments are very helpful. They arrange mentor-mentee programme. Passing semester exams is not mandatory and is also not difficult. You have to score 50% above in total to pass. Professors take viva in physiology subject to make us viva-ready. They also arrange chart presentations, etc.
Other: MBBS is a very promising course. It is very respectable in society. Our college has the annual academic fest Lobelia, the academic fest Therapeauo, freshers party Metamorphosis, foundation day, Saraswati puja, etc. Armaan Malik came in 2023 in Lobelia. Scholarships are provided to needy students.

Completely satisfied by work culture and study method.
Placements: There is no concept of campus placement in our medical college. After MBBS, out of 250 students, 80-85 students get house staff positions within our own college, and the rest get house staff positions in other colleges or hospitals. Some get a PG seat at the time. Not a single student remains unemployed after passing MBBS until he or she decides to prepare for PG.
Infrastructure: Our medical college is small compared to other medical colleges in Calcutta, but everything is there, so it feels a little congested here. Wi-Fi is present in the library. The classrooms are modern. A modern class with a high-quality projector is present. All health departments are there. There are two huge libraries. There are many hostels, separated for seniors and juniors as well as boys and girls. Hostel mess food is not that good in comparison. There is no football ground on the campus.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. In medical college, students can work easily in a hospital after passing college; the semester is quite difficult but less so than the final exam. More than 90 percent of students pass.

RGKAR, the place of excellence in medicine.
Placements: 50 percent of the students get placed in house staff positions. The remaining can work in a private medical hospital with a decent package varying from 12 LPA to 25 LPA. There is no such campus placement, as it is a medical college. The roles offered are those of a physician.
Infrastructure: The labs are decent, the infrastructure is good, there is plenty of lecture theater, a huge auditorium, and a library. There are four canteens there, and sports and gaming tournaments are also organised on a very regular basis. Hostels are also neat and tidy and uphold the standards of the government. Medical college.
Faculty: The teachers here are amazing, highly qualified, and very approachable. MBBS is probably one of the most relevant courses in today's time. The integration of patient integration into the course does make the students industry-ready, and they are fit to treat patients as soon as they leave college. 2 semesters and 1 professor. Exams are taken every year, which is moderate with a passing percentage of 50.
Other: I chose this college and course because of my passion for medicine.

RG Kar medical college - among the top 19 best medical colleges in the country .
Placements: After 4.5 years of studying all the students are required to do a mandatory paid internship in the college itself. It's for a 1 year duration where students are paid Rs. 30000 a month. Each students are required to serve in each department for a duration of minimum one month where they get a hand on experience of treating the patients.
Infrastructure: The college provides all the basic facilities for the students. The library is air conditioned and well-equipped with various books and medical journals. The classrooms and lecture theatre are also air conditioned which projectors and boards for conducting classes. We have 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel in the campus. There are mess in every hostels and a part from that we have 4 canteens in the campus which provide food for the students. We have a boys and girls common rooms where we have a table tennis board, carrom boards and a gym.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and are all doctors. They all are specialized and post graduate degree holders in their respective fields and departments. They are very helpful and the teacher student relationship in the college is very good. The teaching quality is very advance. The teachers uses live model, ppts, self directed learning modules for a better clarification on the subjects. We have theory classes, practical classes and clinical visits so that the student get a good grasp over the subject. The course curriculum is being set my the NMC, which is being followed by all the medical colleges over the country. The course modules followed by the mandatory internship makes the students absolutely ready with all the experience to handle patients. We have 3 semester exams followed by 1 university exams in a particular year. For a student to pass he/she must secure a 50% of marks in each subjects both in the theory and practical exams. If anyone fails to do so they are required to sit for a supplementary exams and are given a 2nd chance to pass the year.
Other: Being a doctor was always a dream and MBBS is not just a degree its professions and an opportunity to serve the people of the country. The course provides us the with the best opportunity to gain knowledge about the medical Science and apply it for the benefit of the society and what's better than gaining a titles before your name (Dr). The best thing about the course is to get a first hand experience about the human body and it's function. The course is absolutely good and I don't prefer to improve anything about it. The teaching style can be improved by making the course modules more practical based, so that the students get more interest in their course. Our College has the best M.Ed fest of the Eastern India named LOBELIA which is held in the month of may which is a 5 days event. Our college also conducts a media -fest called THERAPEUO which is a 3 days event where students get a hand on experience on all the clinical aspect of the medical Science which is conducted by all eminent doctors and faculty members from all over the country. The campus crowd is great with 250 students in each batch. The campus is located in a very prime location which is well connected by all means of transport. The government of West Bengal has many scholarships scheme for the students which are being provided by the college. Apart from the academics part the students are well active in the extra curricular activities. We have various dance, music, drama and sports club which conducts workshops and various intra and inter college competitions.

Our college is best for the all-around development of medical undergraduates.
Placements: Every year, 250 students get admitted to this college for the MBBS course. The college has its hospital, which has the highest patient flow in West Bengal. Almost all students get internships. The stipend offered is Rs. 32,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The college has been newly built. There are two large lecture halls, each with a capacity of 300 students and there are projectors in both of them. There is a separate lecture theater in each department, be it anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, etc. The college also has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostel fee is only Rs.1200 per month, and that includes water and electricity too. The canteen is available, and the fee ranges from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3000 per month. The quality of food is decent.
Faculty: Our teachers are very talented and student-friendly. Their teaching quality is good. They solve our doubts. We have three semester exams and one university exam every year. The pass percentage is 98-99%.
Other: I chose this course because I always wanted to be a doctor. The best thing about this college is the clinical exposure due to the huge patient flow.

Decent and affordable college.
Placements: Medical colleges don't usually provide job or placement offers, but we get paid during the internship that we get offered after 4.5 years of studying, the college offered a stipend of 28K per month, this one year was important for all the MBBS students. If one wants to join a hospital for a decent paying job or prepare for MD and take admission in MD and get an almost double paying job.
Infrastructure: There are 2 stores in the college, cheap store and book store which provides medical instruments and books at low cost. Classrooms have a healthy infrastructure with full AC, projector and mic etc. Many extracurricular activities including cricket and football are conducted besides studies. Hostels in our college have three parts. My hostel is situated in Maniktola, Kolkata. First year Girls hostels are situated in associated in college. If Students home distance is more than 50 km, so then the college provides a hostel, otherwise students go to the day shift.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well trained and very expert in teaching. They take classes on time assigned to them on the projector. After every 3 months, we have to appear for the semester exam and at the end of the season, we have to go for the University exam, this exam is very difficult to pass as the minimum passing score is 50%. .
