It is a great college only if you are ready to attend the college for full day.

Placements: Placements in the college are tedious if you are students of EXTC department. Companies prefer the students of computer branch. Reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Zycus and more IT-based companies visited the college for placements. The training and placement cell is not at all helpful, and the staff do not coordinate with candidates. There are no arrangements and management for placements. The college doesn't offer any training.

The college has good infrastructure with average faculty members and no placements.

Placements: Placements in college were pathetic. There were absolutely zero efforts by the training and placement cell to bring companies to campus. Hardly 3 to 4 students out of 90+ got placed. No alumni network was established even though the college is operating since a very long time. There was no guidance provided to students on how to get internships, how to enhance skills, what are types of industries, and what roles can be offered.

Overall, it's a good place. The college is near Versova beach, so one can enjoy the fresh breeze.

Placements: Placements in our college were very poor. Most of the companies have offered an average salary package of 3.5 LPA based on the standards set by RGIT. A few companies (one or two) have offered a salary package of 10 LPA where hardly anyone is selected. Companies visiting the campus are decreasing every year. Students studying here expect a lot from this college, but overall, they provide average placements.

RGIT doesn't provide you any placement opportunities.

Placements: Placements in the college are quite decent. The average salary package offered is 2.5-3.5 LPA as per industry norms. Direct-I is the highest payer with an offer of 8 LPA, and they look for good students. TCS is a mass recruiter, but nowadays I heard that they recruit hardly 20-30 students from RGIT. Placements basically depend on your academic percentage. You need to score more than 60% marks to attend placement drives. No companies visit the campus to hire the students of the branches like mech...

A good college if your score is low.

Placements: Placements are not available for mechanical and instrumentation branches. But IT companies come for the placements of computers, IT and EnTC branches. TCS was the mass recruiter at our time hiring 50 students. The average package offered by them was 3 lacs per annum. Although, a little portion of students did not get placed.

Overall, the college is average.

Placements: Placements during my tenure were average. TCS and L&T Infotech being mass recruiters took around 70-100 students from the college. The rest depends on the students as some other median companies visit offering the packages between 2.4-3.7 LPA. But, the problem is placements are available only for computers and IT students whereas EXTC can fit in half-way. There are no placements for mechanical and instrumentation students from college. I heard from juniors that nowadays (2018), CS and IT student...

The faculty members of the college are helpful and encourage in extracurricular activities.

Placements: An average number of students get placed. The average salary package offered is 5-6 LPA. The campus placements for RGIT students are good. Well-reputed companies visit our college for placements. The college has big seminar halls and auditoriums for group discussion.

My Experience at the campus with the faculty

Placements: There are many companies coming to our college and most of all the students are been selected and given different roles in the company. Being the most valuable student got and package of 10 lacks per annum. Talking about internships there is a cell to manage all the internships and most of the students get an opportunity to work with the companies depending upon the interest of the student also the company requirements.

It's one of the best college for mechanical engineering after space & vjti.

Placements: For mechanical engineering, there are less placements compare to other branches. Mechanical core companies used to visit our campus but job profile is 'sales & executive' most of the time like SANMAR Pvt ltd. Two core company visit our college in whole year having GET profile I. e SNC Lavalin & Nikhil comforts having package of 3.3 LPA & 2.4 LPA respectively. Many students placed through ISHRAE job junction. At least 15 no. Of students place through this job junction. Only RAC related companies ...

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology is rocking with Udaan festival.

Placements: The placements in RGIT are awesome. Every year, more than 15 companies visit the campus for placements. Every year, around 70 to 80% of the students get placed on the campus placements. Every year, companies like Wipro, TCS, and Capgemini visit the campus for placements. Placement department is very supportive to students. They start giving placement training to the students from the third year only.

I am satisfied with the college, but the infrastructure can be made better and best.

Placements: About 50%-60% of the students from our course got placed, but most of them placed in the IT sector as core companies were not much often visit our college. The highest salary offered is about Rs. 35,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is about Rs. 20,000 per month. The average salary offered is about Rs. 25,000 per month. As I am from electronic and telecommunication department, 1 or 2 core companies visit our college for our course. However, for IT or computer department, the major recr...

Teaching of staff in Instrumentation department was satisfactory, but placements is the big issue.

Placements: Placements in instrumentation department are absolutely 3-4 %. Placement for IT and Computer engineers are decent but not up to the mark. Only 2-3 core instrumentation companies came and only 4 of my friends got placed. Placement department was not even trying hard to approach companies.

Placements: Hardly 2 companies related to mechanical engineering field had came for placement and 4 students out of 90 got placed in on campus placement. However many IT companies had came and recruited most of IT, computer Science and EXTC branch students. T&P cell is for the name sake in college.

It is a good college to attend, it has good placements, teachers are easily approachable.

Placements: Placement structure is like two companies visit on a first day sharing basis, people are allowed to sit for both the companies. Reputed organisations visit RGIT. During my time it was Infosys and L&T. Other organisations which visited were Capgemini, zycus, indus Valley, Direct, IBM, L&T core and many more. The highest package offered was 6.5lacs and average package was 3.25. Software Engineer, business development executive were the roles offered by the company. As many were looking for Masters...

Very much satisfied by the quality of education and placements done.

Placements: Placement for our batch was almost 80% and nearly same for the senior batch. The highest salary offered was 5 LPA and not very sure about but might be 2.4 LPA. Mainly for our branch, most software companies visited like TCS, Infosys, Wipro. And our placement cell is very good and really helps every student to get placed.

A place to develop a technical mind with a beach view. Decent placements and faculty.

Placements: Placements in the technical mechanical field is poor, but you can get hired for IT or marketing jobs. 30-50% students get placed as most pursue further studies. Average salary: 3 LPA, the highest salary: 4.5 LPA, the lowest salary: 2.2 LPA. Notable companies: elgi, TCS, Antimu engineering, Vistarr, Think and Learn, keeto. Internship opportunities are not available within the college. You have to apply for an internship through personal contacts. There is a placement cell within the college which...

Placements: Placement are not that good but yes they are up to mark, every year 60-70% of students that appear for placements gets placed. Companies like TCS, L&T, DIRECT-I & many more comes for campus recruitment. The highest salary offered was 13 Lacs p. a. and the lowest is 3 Lacs p. a. My thoughts about our college RGIT.

Placements: The placements of our college are good when compared to other colleges in the Mumbai University. In RGIT various core companies and IT companies come for placements. For students, good performance in placements college arranges 2-3 weeks workshop for students benefits in placements.

I would give 4/5 to faculty, 3.5/5 to infrastructure, and 1/5 to placements.

Placements: The placements offered are pretty good for the computer science and IT branch. The companies like TCS and L&T do recruit for the mechanical. The profile offered is IT. Other than this, there is company which visit only for the mechanical students. In my time there was Technimont ICB.
