This is a good college for us. I am happy with it.
Placements: Our Ramkrishna mission residential college is good for B.Sc. in Computer Science. Our college give 60% to 70% placement. In our department our the highest package is 7 LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc. In our department 70% students get an internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is very good and all facilities available for us. Our all classrooms are spacious and all lab rooms are well_maintaibned, labs are full with computers. High-speed internet available in all labs. Library is available with huge amount of books. Four hostel available in our college for students and faculty. Canteen available with veg and non-veg food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and anowledgeble, with expertise in various fields. They maintain a friendly attitude with us. The course cariculam is relevent, regularly update. Teachers give their efforts to make student industry ready. The exams are moderate difficult, testing students' practical knowledge and understanding. In our department high pass percentage is 95% above.

Our college provides moderate facilities which help students to qualify exams like JAM, UPSC, etc.
Placements: Many students got placed in our course. The average salary package offered ranges between 0.5 LPA to 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Java, Wipro, etc. Almost 50-60% of students got internships at TCS and Wipro. Top roles offered are manager, junior engineer, senior engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available in this college. There is an e-library in this college. Laboratories are air-conditioned. Many computers are available in this college. Classrooms are equipped with whiteboards and air-conditioners. There is a huge library and several books are available. The hostel gets 3 stars. The food quality is decent. Free medical facilities are available. Sports are conducted in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are eminent. Few of them are doctorates. I would rate it 4 stars for teaching quality. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very difficult. The examination process is difficult.
Other: RKM and devotional-related events are conducted in this college.

It is the best college in Kolkata with best faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: There are only 12 students in the batch of the year 2021. The previous batch had 14 students. The cut-off of getting admitted to this college is to high. Only a few can get the opportunity to enroll. The fees of the course are very affordable. For our 1st semester, I paid Rs.32,400. This amount is constant for all departments of the 2021 batch. Most of the students are having scholarships so you can say how high graded they are. Internships are done by students individually via Internshala. The college is registered in Intersala as well. Our college NIRF rank is 21. So most of the passouts are doing very reputed jobs and mostly in governmental agencies.
Infrastructure: RKMRC is always in good books. It is a reputed government college, yet most funding comes from foreign since it's a religious institution as well. Hostel can be compared to a 4 star hotel. College is a Wi-Fi zone. There is no need to buy books because you will get them all for free in college library which you have to return after the course ends. Food is a bit awkward for me to eat rice in the morning at 9 o'clock but it's okay now. There is morning prayer at 6 o'clock, a tea time at 7'o clock and at 9:30 they will give you rice. There is a college canteen where you can order a lot of junk food (depends on you), at 4 o'clock they will give you a small tiffin. Mostly it will be samosa, puri, or parathas. Then there is evening prayer at 6'o clock. At night, at 9 o'clock dinner is served and it is now rice or roti. The breakfast and dinner have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions. Fish and egg are compulsory for both times, except on Friday when fish and chicken are served. For vegetarians, it's dal, paneer, or sometimes fried potato and milk or curd as the end of a meal. Speaking of curd, I tried once and it was magnificent. "Misti Doi" is one of Bengal's special curd. They make the best one I ever have.
Faculty: Teachers here are extremely educated. Our GE Maths teacher Prof. T Bhutia was a former student of IIT Delhi. Not only he but others as well. Vice-principal Maharaj, also the faculty head of the department of computer science was once a student of Oxford University. Speaking of exams, in total, we have 6 semesters, and 1 year has 2 semesters. There is the concept of mid-semesters as well. The college is under Calcutta University but it is autonomous. So, solving 10 years question paper at CU will not be helpful. Autonomous college makes their question paper, check them, and give marks on them as well. But the mark sheet will be leveled as the university it follows. Its system is just like St. Xavier College, Kolkata.
Other: The campus life is awesome. It's strictly a boy's college. The campus is not at all crowded. It's a huge campus and you can find it on Google maps. Tournament and competitions are something that is held throughout the year. Drama competition, cricket, football, debate, essay, and even now it's planning to organise its first MUN.

It is the best option to get back into the race of premier institutes in India.
Placements: Students generally opt for higher studies like M.Sc, M.A, MCA, M.Stat, M.Math, and other degrees from prestigious institutes like IIT TIFR, ISI, CMI, IISER, DU, HCU, BHU, VIT, and other colleges. This college does not provide campusing as of now. The students opt for various internships, and the college does cooperate with the students in all cases.
Infrastructure: The campus has two buildings. Most of the labs are present in the old building, however currently, the research labs for physics and chemistry are being shifted to the newly constructed building. The labs for physics and chemistry are one of the best labs in this region. However, the computer science and statistics labs make it to the bare minimum. Wi-Fi set up in the college campus is just for the namesake and is rarely for any use. The college lends books to the students for a semester. There is a huge collection of both academic and story books in the library. Being a residential college, it has its own hospital and four hostels to accommodate students. The college fosters the all-round development of every student and gives importance to all sports. Starting from a huge stadium to the large table tennis rooms, and multi-gym and a swimming pool, the college does not compromise on any of these premises. The food provided is good and nutritious. There is a huge auditorium to conduct celebrations or the competitions throughout the year. With the completion of the newly constructed building, the college will boast a much larger auditorium, state-of-the-art classrooms and highly modified research labs.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are highly qualified. They are the best in their field, and their way of teaching does justice to their profession. The residential facility provided by the college is more like a home, and the faculty can be approached at any time in the day, to get assistance. As the college is autonomous, the curriculum is designed by the college itself. Advanced courses are included in the semesters, unlike other colleges under the parent university.
Other: The ideal of the college is built upon a rigorous lifestyle, where you have to eat the food in time, attend prayer every day and follow other rules imposed on you. The college does not encourage any politics within the campus, and any interaction is made directly with the administrative faculty. Various activities are conducted throughout the year, starting from the inter-hostel drama competition, table tennis competition, carrom competition, to inter-department football and cricket competition. Annual sports held during the winter are a favourite for the students. Students also get together to celebrate their respective hostel foundation day. The departments also organise inter-college competitions and lectures to foster the interaction with the students of other colleges. Smartphones and laptops are not allowed on the campus, which is really a drawback. Sometimes, the rules are tough to follow. The college provides scholarships to the needy, especially for the students who are economically backward. However, if you do not have any problem in coping with this rigorous lifestyle, you can leave. I have seen people, who gave up and went to study in some other colleges due to the rigorous rules implicated by the college. Honestly, if you have just missed a mark (in results) for IISc, IITs or ISI or IISER and still want to get into one of the premier institutes, I suggest you pursue your B.Sc or B.A from this college. The syllabus is well-defined for all the competitive exams like JAM, JEST ISI, CMI, JNU, TIFR, BHU, HCU, JU. A little hard work from your end shall guarantee the admission in the institution of your choice.
