Great faculty and infrastructure and good placements and facilities. Need more industry connections.
Placements: In the microbiology course at RG Shah Science College, around 40–50% of students were placed. The highest package offered was approximately 4-5 LPA, the lowest around 2-2.5 LPA, and the average package was 3-3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include pharmaceutical firms, food industries, and biotech companies. About 30-40% of students secured internships, primarily in research labs, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies. The top roles offered were lab technician, quality control analyst, and research associate.
Infrastructure: The microbiology department at RG Shah Science College boasts modern laboratories equipped with advanced instruments, well-maintained classrooms, and a comprehensive library with relevant textbooks and research journals. WiFi is available across the campus, enhancing connectivity. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms and basic amenities, while the food in the mess and canteen is generally satisfactory but could vary in quality. Medical facilities are adequate, and the campus offers opportunities for various sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers in the microbiology department are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, ensuring excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant and effective and prepares students for industry roles. Semester exams are challenging but fair, with a pass percentage around 80-85% indicating rigorous academic standards.
Other: I chose microbiology for its dynamic field and career opportunities in research and healthcare. The best aspects of the course include hands-on lab experience and knowledgeable faculty. However, improvements could be made in industry tie-ups and internship opportunities. The campus is vibrant with frequent events and a supportive crowd, good connectivity, and various extracurricular activities, though scholarship options could be enhanced.

The college is good in all types of facilities related to teachers and all services.
Placements: About 60% of students get a job opportunity here. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. About 30% of students got an internship. The placement support is very good. In the last two semesters, about 20 companies have visited the college to hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. There is no air-conditioned in classrooms, but it has a projector. Library and other facilities are also available on the campus. It is value for money. Everything is good here.
Faculty: Faculty members are very much helpful and good. They will guide you not only in studies but also in extracurricular activities. Industrial visit is also available in the course. There will be a one-day industrial tour during the course, and they also guide in career growth.
Other: The campus is not very large. It has a separate common room for both girls and boys where they can play carrom, table tennis, chess and many more games .

You should have that experience without college campus.
Placements: Personally, we did not get any placements from the college because it is a government institution. While facilities were available, only third-party placements were offered, and faculty members suggest you handle your own placement efforts.
Infrastructure: The college experience was quite good, with large classrooms accommodating up to 100 students at a time. The weather around the college area was pleasant. Occasionally, there were issues with traffic noise, but these were infrequent. The college does not provide hostel facilities, so you have to opt for a government hostel.
Faculty: The faculty was excellent, with engaging teachers, an active principal, and a strict yet kind Head of Department. The curriculum was present, but there were challenges due to the lack of campus facilities. Exam timetables and schedules were regular.

In the previous year, many students got placed in their fields by college.
Placements: In our course, 100 seats are available in our college. The highest salary package offered in our college ranged from 5 LPA to 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered varies from 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Not many students got internships from college. But most of the students got jobs in our course in laboratories and hospitals.
Infrastructure: Namo Wi-Fi is available in our college, and most of the students use it very smartly. There are 4 departments in the third year so there are 4 labs available. Classrooms are very old but are so great and also a library is available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. All the problems of the students are solved by the faculty and staff members. The semester exams are not so difficult but it is medium so all the students can get passing marks easily. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I opted for this course because microbiology is the best course for ME group students. There are many opportunities for all students in government jobs and private laboratories also. Many of the students participate in many events on campus. I got scholarships and I participated in main activities and projects also.

The teachers are quite good of this college.
Placements: There is no placement from the college side. This is the only time a company visits a university campus in which all college students take part in the placement. There is no internship scheme.
Infrastructure: There is no canteen. Not good washrooms. The furniture is also not good. According to modern demand, it is a very old-fashioned college. There are a few facilities available here. The location is good for transportation.
Faculty: Teachers are too good. There are two types of exams given: internal exams given by the college and paper-style exams designed by the faculty of the college. 2nd external taken by the university with proper maintenance and paper style.
Other: It is a government college. So, of course, scholarships are provided to students. Its fee structure is also very small. There is no additional charge for microbiology. the department is too good and the botany department is too supportive.
