Masters in structural engineering at R. V. College of Engineering.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in roles like designing. They also got a chance to work as an intern on foreign projects. After the end of the internships, they got a permanent job role with salary hikes. Some of the top recruiters were L&T and Tata Group.
Infrastructure: Most informative resources that were available in the library like updated newspapers, journals periodicals, and reference books used for courses were collected and stocked in the library once a month. Biometric systems were used in the libraries instead of manual systems.
Faculty: Most of our syllabus was oriented to diagrammatic papers. Our teachers were known for their excellence in designing. They illustrated and made us reconstruct the design perfectly by guiding us step by step. Our teachers motivate our skills rather than scoring higher grades.

Good placements and infrastructure of RVCE.
Placements: The highest package for 2024 placements was 92 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average was 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Flipkart, Meesho, Zomato, Blinkit, and various startups. The top roles offered were SDE, and almost 56% got internships.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are really big and spacious. The whole campus has centralized Wi-Fi for students, and all the labs are well-equipped for even performing research. As the library is newly inaugurated, it is wonderful and just the perfect place to study. The hostel facilities are good. The food served in the mess is moderate, and the sports facilities are moderate as well.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and well-qualified for their roles. The course is designed such that it is industry-related. The semester exams are not very difficult, and the passing percentage is good since a lot of people pass because of experiential learning.
Other: I chose this course because I had a keen interest in it. The best thing about this course is that the faculty is very good and helpful. The fest happens every two years, and there are various scholarships available for KCET students.

Review of RVCE College of Engineering.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in the course. The average package was around INR 20 LPA. Recruiting companies included Bosch, Intel, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, BookMyShow, and other big tech companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and everything is kept clean and ready for use. The mess is okay, not the best, but meets expectations. The canteen is phenomenal, with great food, although it's expensive. It’s a big canteen with a nice outdoor tree area for sitting.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and ready to assist. Some are even great and encouraging. The curriculum has been revised many times, so it's up-to-date. The difficulty level is moderate, and you need 84% attendance to write exams for any subject.

Come only if you want placements.
Placements: 90% of students in the CS branch get placed by the end of their third year. The highest package offered was 56 LPA in 2025 and 92 LPA in 2024. The average package for the CS branch is around 17.5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Zomato, PhonePe, Qualcomm, and Microsoft have visited the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The library is quite good and newly built. Classrooms are currently under construction and will be completed in one year. Students are currently attending classes in another branch's building. While the writer lives in a PG, they note that the hostel food is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in the first year, but their engagement decreases in the second year. The first-year curriculum is tough. The pass percentage is good, but semester exams are quite difficult.

It is best to enjoy a course with better placement and experience.
Placements: Most of the students get good offers. The average package is about 20 LPA, the least is 6 LPA, and the highest is 96 LPA. In my course, 67 LPA is the highest, same as the average and least. Top recruiting companies are Google, Samsung, Intel, HP, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys. Roles include Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, and Data Scientist.
Infrastructure: In my department, we have a vast library with supportive internet and a computer lab. We also have different classes for lab and theory sessions, which are well-equipped. The hostel is okay when compared to other hostels, but the food is good. Medical facilities are available 24/7. Each block has a gym, game courts, and fields for practicing.
Faculty: The teachers are well-experienced. It is good for understanding the concepts. The course curriculum is different when compared to others, and they focus a lot on practical sessions. The semester exams are quite difficult, but the passing percentage is 40% in CIE and SEE.
Other: It’s better to choose normal colleges for learning the concepts. Improve the faculty involvement in the sessions and projects. The RV campus conducts two major fests, Kannada Habba and 8th Mile Fest. The campus is a bit busy because it is a small campus with all departments. Scholarships are purely based on merit only.

Certainly satisfied; good curriculum.
Placements: For industrial engineering, the placement percentage varies between 60 and 85%. The highest placement is around 18 lacs, the lowest is 6 lacs, and the average is around 11 lacs. Cisco, Flipkart, Airbus, and HPE are some of the top recruiting companies. The top roles offered in the branch are analyst, graduate engineer trainee, and supply chain engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the department are decent, with separate labs for various courses. The department is well-equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, computer labs, and projector-enabled classrooms. Campus infrastructure is not up to par and needs a major overhaul.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and qualified. The teaching quality is decent, and the course material provided is updated periodically in order to maintain relevance to industry standards. In semester exams, difficulty ranges from low to medium for most of the subjects.
Other: I chose this course due to its culmination of engineering and management principles and the wide variety of job roles it provides.
