Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Seat Allotment Results have been released up to Round 2 for RVCE admission to BE course. According to the RV College of Engineering cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged between 242 and 17630. Considering the RVCE Round 1 cutoff, the closing ranks for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 169. Q:   What is the schedule for COMEDK Counselling 2024?

A: 

The consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts three rounds of COMEDK UGET counselling 2024 for admission to the BE/ BTech courses. The Round 1 of the Seat Allotment is out for different categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD. COMEDK Round 1 cutoff is being held for both general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However, round 2 will be  conducted for Hyderabad Karnataka region students only. RV College is one the best colleges which was ranked 99th as per NIRF rankings.
Placements: RV College has a very good placement rate. Almost all the students are getting placed. They provide a good training for placements. The highest package last year was 92 Lacs per annum. This year it is ongoing, as per now the highest package is 54 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: RV College has a good infrastructure, however it is not full highly developed as it is one of the oldest colleges in Bangalore. Hostel facilities are good. Classrooms are excellent they provide Wi-Fi. RVCE also has very good library where we enrich our knowledge. There are various sports clubs for physical training.
Faculty: RV College teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and experienced. They provide practical learning. They prepare us for industry requirements. However, the exams are tough.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication because it is one of the most demanding courses today. We can learn both IT and core.

Review of R.V. College of Engineering.
Placements: The placement records are great in the year 2023-24. Companies like Apple and Amazon had recruited students and package was also great. The figures are good in placement basically. But if we have skills, then only expect a placement in Computer Science Engineering. Other things are great, the average salary package offered was above 10 LPA for all branches.
Infrastructure: Although construction is under process. Every building and department is getting renovated. In 2-3 years the campus infrastructure would be great. Campus is getting very good in future for sure. However, for the NAAC visit, they made many changes quickly and greenery is everywhere on the campus.
Faculty: If we take admission in this college, we need to be prepared for frequent exams. These exams occur every 30-45 days. Exams are categorized as CIE examinations and quizzes, followed by the end-semester examination. Quizzes and CIE exams are conducted three times per semester. We need to choose from the best of 2.
Other: There is only 1 fest held per year. E-summit and 8th mile are conducted alternatively.

Review of RVCE College of Engineering.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in the course. The average package was around INR 20 LPA. Recruiting companies included Bosch, Intel, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, BookMyShow, and other big tech companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and everything is kept clean and ready for use. The mess is okay, not the best, but meets expectations. The canteen is phenomenal, with great food, although it's expensive. It’s a big canteen with a nice outdoor tree area for sitting.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and ready to assist. Some are even great and encouraging. The curriculum has been revised many times, so it's up-to-date. The difficulty level is moderate, and you need 84% attendance to write exams for any subject.

Placements: Placements: RV is the best college in Bangalore. It's NIRF ranking is 95, which makes it even better. Here, 80% of students get placed. Last year, the highest package was 94.59 LPA and the lowest was 7 LPA. In 2024, the placement rate for B.Tech CSE was 75%. In 2023, the placement rate for CSE was 93%. In 2022, the placement rate for CSE was 97%.
Infrastructure: RV College of Engineering is spread over 16.85 acres of land and offers various facilities to the students like a canteen, transportation, library, auditorium, and various other facilities. RVU Bangalore provides transportation facilities for students and staff.

Excellent, and the goodness.
Placements: The placements are very good, and the faculty was very nice. They come every year; more than 300 companies visit. The role of our course is very interesting to take in EC in RVCE. They get good internships in the college, and the highest was 93 Lacs and the average was 20 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also important for students, and it was very nice in RVCE. The hostels were very clean and good, and the food was very good. The kitchen was very hygienic, and they had sports and a new gynae. There were good sports like kabaddi, football, and volleyball.
Faculty: The faculty was helpful, and they get graduated in IITs. It was a good experience, and it was a good teaching experience. It was a medium paper, and the 40% was the passing percentage. There were no difficulties in the exam. We can easily score the marks, and we enjoyed our time in the college.
Other: I was in EC. I will improve my skills, and the activities are good. They also gave scholarships.

Certainly satisfied; good curriculum.
Placements: For industrial engineering, the placement percentage varies between 60 and 85%. The highest placement is around 18 lacs, the lowest is 6 lacs, and the average is around 11 lacs. Cisco, Flipkart, Airbus, and HPE are some of the top recruiting companies. The top roles offered in the branch are analyst, graduate engineer trainee, and supply chain engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the department are decent, with separate labs for various courses. The department is well-equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, computer labs, and projector-enabled classrooms. Campus infrastructure is not up to par and needs a major overhaul.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly and qualified. The teaching quality is decent, and the course material provided is updated periodically in order to maintain relevance to industry standards. In semester exams, difficulty ranges from low to medium for most of the subjects.
Other: I chose this course due to its culmination of engineering and management principles and the wide variety of job roles it provides.
