Commonly asked questions
On JEE Main Cutoffs

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Absolutely regret my decision to take admission in this college.
Placements: Around 35% of people get placed, and the highest package was 4 lakhs last year. I don't have an idea about the recruiting companies, to be honest. Only 30 students out of 120 are getting internships from the college, and the rest have to find them on their own. I have no idea about the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is so bad that I personally don't like to go to the college. There's no Wi-Fi, no proper labs, and the library is inadequate. Food is not good. The canteen is not well-managed. I'm sorry to say, but there are no medical facilities available in the college.
Faculty: There are only 2 faculty members who are actually good in behavior, teaching, and problem-solving. Even the HOD is not professional in conduct. They just focus on attendance, but we as students don't get any sort of proper knowledge while we are present in the class. So personally, I hate going to college.

All About Saraswati College of Engineering.
Placements: The placement in this is very low, only the top students from each class get into companies, companies like TCS and Infosys and some small local construction companies also visit the campus for placement. I have seen some students giving mock interviews in the college.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels available in the college, you have to opt for a PG or flat near the college and far it's your choice, but the college doesn't offer any hostel facilities. And the food in the canteen is okay, they put Schezwan chutney in almost all the dishes only leaving dal chawal, biryani and some dishes, and the canteen is pure veg.
Faculty: The faculty is really good, and qualify provide the quality needed for the course, the exams are held on time all the project term work, team work, are too held from time to time, There are cloud activities like NSS, and students do several campaigns like blood donation, gaming competition, sports competition, social activities like to Village and helping them. The library has all kinds of books available, you can borrow or study there it's your choice, and the canteen space is a lot bigger.
Other: The distance between the college to the nearest railway station that is Kharghar is 2-3km away, for that college has its own Bus system (8-9) and buses only for students, you can make a bus pass from the college itself if you need to use buses.

Teachers are very supportive and encouraging.
Placements: Approximately 10 students got placed in the course. The highest package is up to 7 LPA, the lowest package is up to 3 LPA, and the average is between 4-6 LPA offered in college. Reliance, Capgemini, and TCS are the recruitment companies that came for campus placement. Business representative and software developer are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities provided in our college, having big classrooms and big benches, but there is no quality fan. Light issues are always present, and there is no Wi-Fi connection to the college campus. The canteen serves good food that is tasty and maintains hygiene. There is no Wi-Fi on the college campus; only practical labs have that. Electrical facilities should be improved.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful and supportive. They are qualified and knowledgeable, but they must provide practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. There are no such difficult exams; if we study hard, then exams are very easy for everyone. The passing marks are 35%.
Other: Overall, the college is nice. Our college holds events along with academics. Education or teaching methods should be improved. The teaching staff is awesome.

Overall review of Saraswati College of Engineering.
Placements: The students placed in college are at an average ratio, where students from the computer engineering and information technology branches received many opportunities from startups and MNCs, such as Capgemini and Infosys. The average package was 4.5 LPA, while other branches like civil and mechanical had lower placement rates.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was basic for overall development, and students did not receive any lab or practical equipment on time. The college didn't have any hostel facilities, but it did provide many other PG accommodations and hostel surroundings for students to stay and travel safely.
Faculty: Mostly the teachers were helpful and friendly throughout the entire course, with their teaching and guidance being good. The teachers' reviews reflect student feedback, allowing them to express their opinions about the faculty.
Other: The course is a trending field in data science, where future trends will follow. The college should focus on the overall development of the institution. The crowd in college is good, and the fests and events are very well organized.

Honest and unbiased review .
Placements: Last year, the average package for civil engineering was 3.5 lacs pa. Around 55% students got placed. The top recruiter is L&T. Last year the highest package was 6 LPA and the lowest was 1.2 LPA. My total per year fee is 73,723 and my tuition fee is 8723. I have applied from EWS quota. For open category fee is 110000.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, but the infrastructure is poor. Wi-Fi is only available in the computer lab. The food at Mess is good and hygienic. Sports festivals are organized every year. Students participate in singles, music, and dancing. Stationary is also available on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. The teaching style of them is awesome. They communicate with students. Course curriculum are up-to-date and perfect, in my opinion. The semester exams are moderate, and the minimum passing percentage is 40%. The ratio of girls and boys is good.
Other: It is the best college for civil engineering in Navi Mumbai. Events like Nakshatra are organized and also extracurricular activities.

Good college have good placement records from the last few years and good faculty.
Placements: There were approximately 70 percent of students placed last year; the package given was approximately 8 LPA, and the minimum package was approximately 3–4 LPA. The top recruiting companies were IBM, Tata, Infosys, Reliance, etc.; 50 percent of students got internships, including all branches from top companies.
Infrastructure: The facility of our college is up-to-date until the classroom, but when we talk about the library, we don't get Wi-Fi to use as per need, but they have 6-7 laptops for any emergency needs, and when we talk about mess, we always get to know the price, dal, sabji, and puri, and breakfast food, but we never get roti most of the time. Sports are not often played, but the college has yearly contests and overall is good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified in their field, but the way of teaching is very common; some are easy to understand and some are confusing, and yes, they prepare for jobs and solve any problems we face regarding jobs, GATE, UPSC, and all exams. They also provide guidance. The level of exams is quite tough as compared to Pune, but a smart way can land good marks.
Other: Especially, I was interested in the field of CSE and saw it as an opportunity to explore every branch and career, but the main problem I or many students face is that Mumbai University always focuses on theory from 1-4 years. That's why many people don't get jobs while having a degree but no skills.
