It is a very good institute to go for since it has been rated 2nd in NITs by MHRD. The faculty is very friendly and helpful. The student culture is also very good and you will develop yourself through various activities that takes place in the college. All the departments are newly constructed and are starting this year. The placement is almost full.

In terms of infrastructure, this college provides the best among most of the colleges, especially the hostel facilities. The labs, classrooms, and canteens are also up to the mark. The college campus is perfectly located in the city for other avenues of entertainment. In terms of faculty, mechanical engineering at SVNIT has one of the best faculty members among all the NITs. I really liked the fact we were allowed to use the laboratory after permission at any time of the day which helped us kick of many side projects. The placement for computer science stream was extremely good and companies like Amazon, Snapdeal, Directi, etc. comes for placement with awesome packages to offer.

The Good: High-quality peers because of the selection process. Amazing infrastructure, the campus life feels like a vacation. Lots of things to do. The city is right next door. Teachers are of high quality. The Bad: mosquitos. Tropical weather. Limited flight and trains to other parts of India. Because it’s a government college there is some be red tape involved. Overall pretty okay.

The hostels are very good where students can decide the food menu themselves. Hostels also have very good internet connectivity.

When I had entered my NIT I was having a pre-notion in my mind that college is a place where every first year student is ragged and hence to stay away from each and every person possible. Friends will be very ruthless, diplomatic and selfish totally opposite from school. (I hope I am not the only one to think that in that stage) So initially I was reserved. Then as the current of flow went, I realised that it is not as bad as I thought it would be. I met my batch mates and started gelling with t...

One of the most important assets of any college is its students and as a students, seniors are very important. Getting to know seniors is one of the best things that ever happened to me. They are the source of information on what to do in and around the campus, information about the professors, which electives to take, which hostel to choose, which clubs and committees to join, etc. Join all those clubs you are interested in. These clubs are also a way to know some of the seniors deeply involved...

Best college in terms of location and facilities. People normally rank colleges for placements, but it all works under market forces. CS/IT has more opportunities so higher packages whereas Electrical is lowest as very less opportunities. College has every bit to make you an engineer. Hence I would suggest it is a nice college to be in.

As the name suggests, it is a National Institute of Technology, Dream College for engineering students. Definitely an awesome college to join. It’s a ragging free college. Awesome library and other facilities. It provides mind blowing WIFI and LAN. The speed of the Wi-Fi is 40MBPS (Seriously!). Faculty is good and nice atmosphere of college overall. And the placements are very good and are also improving.

The college is filled with talents! 4. Amazing sports infrastructure! Bad: 1. Bike is banned 2. Especially for girl students: strict in time restrictions Nothing else as such.
