Is B.E./B.Tech at School of Computer Engineering and Applications a Good Choice?

While opinions vary among students and alumni, here's a summary of key points:

    * Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent, with good laboratories, libraries, and amenities. However, hostel conditions are subpar, and wi-fi connectivity is limited.
    * Faculty: Most teachers are knowledgeable and helpful, although some may prioritize completion of coursework over understanding. Guest lectures and webinars are valuable learning experiences.
    * Course Curriculum: The curriculum is criticized for being outdated and not relevant to industry demands. Exams are perceived as relatively easy, allowing students to achieve high grades with minimal effort.
    * Placement and Salary Packages: Placement rates are low, with most students struggling to find employment after graduation. Average salary packages range from INR2.4 Lacs to INR6 Lacs per annum, with few companies visiting the campus.
    * Scholarship: Some students receive full scholarships, while others face difficulties in obtaining financial aid.
    * Campus Life: Student life is mediocre, with limited extracurricular activities and a poor social atmosphere.

In conclusion, while the school has its strengths, such as knowledgeable faculty and decent infrastructure, the programme faces significant challenges regarding curriculum relevance, placement outcomes, and overall campus life. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before making an informed decision.

Really excellent and has good infrastructure.
Placements: The students participate in college placements in large numbers. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and many more come, and the percentage level is 70 percent. The college provides internships and webinars for certification. Teachers help a lot in solving career-related problems of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The environment is very clean and green. Labs and classrooms are kept very clean. The food is hygienic. Doctors are available for any emergency, and sports events are also organized every year, even for faculty. Both indoor and outdoor games are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The faculty organizes webinars and guest lectures as well. The pass percentage is 95 percent. The semester exams are of 70 marks each. Faculty helps students with their career-related problems also. The guest lectures are really interesting.
Other: I have chosen this course because of high-paying jobs. Also, IT has a good salary and experience. The second thing is I love programming.

    Review of IFTM University.
Placements: Most of the students don't get placement and some got placed with salary package around 2 to 2.5 LPA. The average salary package is 2.4 LPA and the minimum salary package is 1.5 LPA and the highest salary package is 6 LPA. Around 3 or 4 companies come for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average but the hostel is very bad. Wi-Fi is not available for students. Classrooms are below average but the library and canteen are good. Medical facilities are good but the doctors are not available. Sports and games are significantly available but digital games are not provided.
Faculty: The way of teaching is very bad. The course curriculum is also very bad. Exams are too easy. Students can easily get 7 CGPA per semester without studying.
Other: I chose this course because I love to code. The best thing is that I have sufficient time to invest in a side hustle. The first and second semesters don't have anything related to our course. They should add some new subjects like basic phycology and something about money management. Campus surrounding is very bad. Events and fests are not performed. Campus crowd is average. Connectivity is no more alive. Extracurricular activities are average. I get a 100% scholarship.

I was not at all satisfied because of faculty members and facilities. Placements were the worst.
Placements: I took admission here in 2016 with a lot of enthusiasm that I will be going to study engineering. There are almost 70 students in our batch. Out of them, about 10 students are brilliant, and they scored 85% of marks and above. None of the companies visits here for placement drives and internships. Only 1 student got the unpaid internship. Still, all passed out students are searching for jobs, and this increases their mental pressure. Our university totally failed to provide the platform for students to show their capabilities.
Infrastructure: I was not a hosteller, but some of our batchmates stayed in it. They always used to talk about the hostel food and cleanliness of the hostel. Their experience was the worst. Computer labs were good, but there was a lack of resources and software. Classrooms were completely dirt, and there was no proper cleanliness. However, the library was amazing and had proper infrastructure and books.
Faculty: Most of the teachers here are well qualified, but the thing is that they focus only on completing the course anyhow without caring whether students understand the things or not. Some of the professors are helpful, but most of them just come to college for attendance. The course curriculum is totally based on the old pattern, which is not at all relevant to industry demands.
Other: I took admission here based on the scholarship quota, and I got a scholarship for all 4 years. But in the end, when I asked for the final year mark sheet, they asked me to pay the fee. They said that university policies are changed, so you should pay the fee. At last, they collected the fee from me and gave me my mark sheet. If you want to take admission here, I suggest you to inquire about everything clearly and ask them to give a written note as their policies are changed every month.

The campus is good, but the management is corrupted.
Placements: Our college hasn't provided placements in our four years for the computer science department. Job consultancies have visited at times. This college is not good at providing placement opportunities. Teachers are good, but the office staff members were not good. They could not invite any companies for placements.
Infrastructure: There were also good labs in the computer science department, but some lab assistants were not good. Our college also provides hostel facilities, but there were no strict rules and regulations in the hostel. The library is good in this college and is a good place for reading with no disturbance.
Faculty: Teachers here were good, well-educated and provide good knowledge. Teaching staff members were excellent. They clear all the doubts. But some teachers were not good, and they didn't help students. So I suggest you don't waste your life by joining this college.
Other: The campus is good and also provide scholarships facilities, but I didn't get any scholarships from this university.

No placement. The faculty is good for CSE, rest branches I don't know. Infrastructure is okay.
Placements: The placements offered were not good as nobody gets chance to be placed. No companies are visiting the campus. No internship is provided. Two of my senior got placed in IFTM only. There is placement cell but doesn't offer the placements. The placement team do not put efforts for the students as they think that the crowd over there is not worth it. But I say they should think about the rest who are eligible.
Infrastructure: All the things are available. The library and labs are pretty good. The food is not at all good. The hostel rooms are okay. No issues as nothing is good. There is sports programme for one week. The classrooms are as usual no change since two years. The faculty of CSE department is good as they help the student if the student goes to them.
Faculty: CSE faculty is good as they provide all the sources to the students. There were both offline and live class. There was one industry exposure in Delhi but not useful as the company was hiring the people without paying the people. The course was useful as I am preparing further for M.Tech.
Other: No scholarships were provided to the general category. The connectivity is not at all good. There are no events and fest in this college except convocation and a small programme for new admissions. Disappointed by the placement system. The campus crowd has only a few urban area people otherwise the campus is occupied by the rural area people.
