Not worth it as the fees is high.
Placements: Around 60% of students secured internships, primarily with leading tech companies and startups like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, and Cognizant. The average package range was between 6-8 LPA. Common roles included Software Engineer, Data Analyst, and Cloud Engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at UPES Dehradun is well-equipped for students in technical and engineering courses. The campus provides high-speed Wi-Fi across classrooms, libraries, and labs, ensuring students have access to online resources. The labs are modern and fully outfitted with the necessary equipment, supporting practical learning for various specializations. Classrooms are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with smart boards, enhancing the interactive learning experience.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and accessible. Review of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.
Placements: Almost 80 to 85% of the students get placed with an average CTC of around 5–6 lacs. The highest package offered was 50 lacs. Top recruiters at UPS were Hyundai, Being Human, and Ericsson. Students do get huge opportunities for internships and getting an internship solely depends on the individual.
Infrastructure: UPES does provide facilities like libraries, labs and well-furnished classrooms. In reality, I don't know much about on-campus hostel facilities because I opted for flats around the campus but a few of my friends do live on campus and according to them, the food quality is good. The menu keeps changing every week and they also have Wi-Fi connections with all kind of necessary things like almirah, bedding, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified at UPES. Teaching methodology differs from teacher to teacher but in general they teach you the concepts using a smart board with presentations that are made by the teachers, and they also share the same presentation with us. Semesters are moderately difficult; if one has basic knowledge about the subjects, he can easily pass the exams.
Other: I chose B.Tech. because I have a keen interest in technology, AI and data science. UPES's yearly fest "UURJA" is held in the month of November; last time Darsha Rawal was the main guest. We do have sports events called "SPANDAN, Dholida for Navratri, Halloween party and many more. Talking about connectivity, the mountains/landour/laal Tibba are just 30 km away from the campus. You can go and enjoy the snowfall during December-January.

Truth about UPES. It's good for locals but average for people from outside of Uttarakhand.
Placements: 2200 student's were placed in UPES overall but the average package was low due to the number of student's. The highest package was 44 lacs, the lowest was around 3 lacs, and the average package was 8.5 lacs. Microsoft and Dell are the top recruiters from last year. I don't know about the percentage of students who got internships. Data Scientists, Web developers, Block chain developers, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi in the hostel is good in some rooms but weak in many rooms so it's average. The classrooms are not that great because the computer science block doesn't have AC. Mess and Hostel are above average, from my experience. The food is good, I will say.
Faculty: Faculty is good; you can gain a lot of knowledge from them but you have to work your way out to stand out from others because there are 60 students in class. And the professor will not focus on every individual. The exam pattern is quite tough so we have to study properly or else you will get a backlog.

Missing the fabulous and the great journey of my college (UPES).
Placements: Around 90 percent of the students were placed in our batch. The highest package was 16 Lacs. Average package goes under 7 Lacs in my batch. Top roles in AI were AI engineer, data analyst and many more. Every student in my course got internships from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a very aesthetic type that looks like a hub of a bigger part, like some bigger company or it's very poorly designed and coloured. All the facilities are given in the college, like cafeterias, playing areas, smart classes, smart notes and many subscriptions.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are great in behavior, talking, and in the lectures too. They help the students everywhere, inside or outside the campus, by giving good learning and conveying better topics in their fields. Course curriculum is the best prepared planning, which links semester-wise and gives good understandings. Semester exams are not too difficult. They can be cleared if you go daily in the lectures and make those notes.
Other: I just chose this course as I wanted to take some knowledge in the computed field, which makes me feel better in this era of advancement from the time. I learnt many lessons from the UPES, as not only in academics but also rather than those, there are many things in life a person should know. I got many more lessons to prepare myself for the future aspects and also enhanced my skill here like management, communications, public relations, etc.

Good infrastructure and pollution free campus.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Xebia, etc. The college also provide a mandatory internship to all students, which improve their skills. And the placements depend on the student's skills only. Placements are pretty good, and college provides all the necessity for getting a better placement.
Infrastructure: It is hard to get into campus hostel but there are so many hostels outside the campus. Also, the campus infrastructure is beautiful and equipped with all the necessary stores like dominos, food mart, infirmary, stationery, salon, gift store and 3-4 cafes.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful. It helps in every aspect of the course; the teachers are also too experienced and the course is updated according to new norms and one that industry needs. Semester exams are a bit tough but if a studious child pays attention in class and starts studying 3-4 weeks before exam, they can score well.
Other: Fests are Uorja, Spandan and many more. Campus is a bit crowded but that's not a problem.

My college review in a jist .
Placements: Top recruiters are accenture, here technologies. The packages this year haven't been that high but cyber security companies have come and taken good number of students. The variety of courses have also had an impact in number of placements in the campus.
Infrastructure: The hostel has 3 sharing in 1 room, food ain't that good. But it is near the campus. The washrooms are shared, which aren't clean a majority of time. There is a hostel shop that has some biscuits and other neccessities. There is a canteen that serves till late night around 10.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and guide us during the project. A minority of them aren't that helpful. We have been given various projects under various teachers. Semester exams are usually of mid range, but certain subjects have a 0 or 1 marking, addititionally we have been enrolled in subjects of other schools.
