UPES Dehradun: The real experience you must see before joining the college.

Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed. Because of the recession, placements have been pretty bad and for that reason, the highest package has only been 18 lacs per annum so far. The faculty members are okay, and the overall course material is good. Companies have come for the SDE role and most of them are for sales. The college wanted to keep their 100% placement record. They called many companies, despite the job role they provided. Many students rejected the job offers as they were not willing to ...

Transparency of UPES from an insider.

Placements: 100% placements are offered by UPES; however, this is only valid for students who are eligible to sit in placement sessions. The highest package was offered at 33 lakhs and the lowest was around 3-5 lakhs; the average package is around 6–8 lakhs. Students are mostly placed in internships in their 3rd year and are offered a basic stipend.

Satisfied because of the campus, its location, good atmosphere and faculty members.

Placements: The placement percentage at our university, UPES, is quite decent. The university and the placement team here try to get most of the students placed with a decent package. Many companies like Microsoft, Google, and Infosys come here to place students. The placement of each student depends on how much he/she is efficient and skilled in coding.

UPES Dehradun College Review.

Placements: The placement is average in this college. Every year many companies visit our college to recruit the students. Many top companies also come to recruit the students. The highest package is 50 LPA but it will change this year. There are also many good internship opportunities, both in college and off-campus.

Just fine with the faculty members and the facilities. Can definitely be improved.

Placements: Around 70% of the students were placed in my course. The highest was 50 LPA, the lowest was 5 LPA, and the average was 9–10 LPA. IBM is the mass recruiter. 50–60% of students got internships from different companies all over India. The top roles offered in my course are coders.

Satisfied with the faculty and the course curriculum, but dissatisfied with the sports facility.

Placements: If a student genuinely tries and puts their best efforts, they can easily get placed with a package of around 10-15 LPA as per my knowledge and experience. The lowest package offered in this course is 4 LPA and the highest ever is 50 LPA, but this year it was around 20 LPA. Overall, the college does put in extra efforts for your placements like conducting relevant workshops and activities that help you get placed.

Good placements for people who work hard.

Placements: Good placement opportunities are present in this college. The latest companies with the best employers visit the campus every year and they provide a lot of internships and job opportunities to the students. There is also proper training conducted before the placement activities.

UPES: Cyber security student review.

Placements: Placements are well-arranged affairs, with a dedicated cell for them. The university also provides extended placement support to alumni, even though most of them are placed in core companies. Mock tests and interviews are regularly scheduled.

UPES: BCA student review.

Placements: The placements for tech jobs are bifurcated into development and non-development roles, providing an option to those who wish to work in IT services but not as a coder. The training is well suited to industry standards, and plenty of internship opportunities are given to all.

Overall a great college for studying and learning. Good infrastructure and knowledgeable faculty.

Placements: It is easy to get into the UPES CSE branch if you have a good board score or can pass the entrance exam. The highest package is 45 LPA, and in gaming and graphics, which is my course, 42 LPA, which someone recently got. The lowest is 3 to 4 LPA. The average is 7–10 LPA. Companies like Nvidia, IBM, etc. come for placements. Similarly, internships are taken by students according to their skills. Separate training is also given so students can crack internships in reputed companies. The faculty is ...

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty. Good placements in 2023.

Placements: For the competitive courses in reputable institutions, placements percentage can range from 70%-100%. The average might fall somewhere in between, depending on the different factors. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Google, Xebia, Adobe, etc. Roles offered are that of SDE, etc.

Dissatisfied with hostels and good surroundings.

Placements: Most students are from a cohort. The highest package for this year has been around 25–30 lacs, and the average package was 4-6 lacs. Most roles offered were from mass and a few from domain-specific companies. Due to the recession, not many students got internships and jobs this year.
