Placements: Honestly speaking, the role of the college is to prepare students for the industry. But, the colleges today in our country is far away from this ideology. And same has happened with my batch. We are not academically strong, and in addition to that, industrial needs are different. Our college manages to get some startups and small scale companies for placement of energy system. So far, 3-4 companies have interviewed us including Infosys ( for the role of software engineer which is not acceptable ...
Placements: The university provides good placement offers to students who work hard throughout the 4 years. It doesn't have to be all about academics, it is also about knowledge maybe through research papers, national or international competitions or even workshops and conferences. The off-campus placement has also been really great for over-achievers.
Placements: Currently, the placements in aerospace sector are low, not only for this college but even in IITs. Last year, 10 students among 39 were placed, out of which the highest package was of 14 LPA and the lowest package offered was 3 LPA, although the overall placement of the college is up to 90%. Not to lose hope, the college provides an excellent opportunity for masters and research in your field. Many students who have passed have been in excellent colleges around the globe for masters.
Placements: As the placement process is still undergoing, nothing can be said conclusively. But, so far, the college has managed to become a hub for different national and international companies recruitment process. The highest salary offered, as per my knowledge, was around Rs. 1.8 million in the petroleum sector whereas the minimum is Rs. 800 thousand, till date.
Placements: Most of the students were placed in other companies, but very few got placed in core companies. The average package was around 4 lakhs per annum while the highest package was around 10 lakhs per annum. Many companies visited our college, but very few visited for the core domain of aerospace and avionics. Most students get placement in IT companies. The internship given to our seniors is appreciable. The opportunities were great but are limited to some students and their financial conditions.
Placements: Petroleum placement of the university is good and the highest package bagged by the student this year was 34 LPA, and in the computer department, the highest package offered was 16 LPA. Companies like Schlumberger, L&T, Dell etc. visited the campus for placements this year. College provides good internship to the students.
Placements: In our branch, the placement is satisfactory. It may be so because students of the quality that the branch demands are less here. But those who are good and interested in this field will surely get well placed. Well, placements depend only on the students' capabilities. If you are good enough, no one can stop you. By the way, a lot of companies visit UPES with good offers. This time, placement was about 95%. This university creates a good environment for learning which develops capabilities in e...
Placements: Talking about the placement in ASE-AVE, it is not up to the mark, as the aerospace industry is in its initial stage and therefore it will take time to grow. "Make in India" is kind of the last option for us. The placement should be done on the basis of what kind of practical knowledge a student learned in their particular branch in their 4 years. I think that makes a huge difference between engineers and skilled engineers.
Placements: The placement is good. Our senior batches got 100% placement in core companies like Reliance, Dr. Reddy, Va Tech Wabag, Adani, L&T, Vedanta, etc. Packages can vary from company to company. The average package is 5 to 7 LPA. For internship, there is the option of by self or by college. If you choose by college then they will provide you an internship in a good company.
Placements: The placements are good. Companies are coming but sometimes the people don't meet their criteria. Although the placements are pretty good. In every branch, there are companies of their domain or other domains. But if a company is coming from the aerospace sector, it is one of best in the sector. People sometimes say that the placement depends upon the college but if the college is providing a platform at its level best and you cannot meet the criteria, then it's your fault. You should increase ...
Placements: The placement record in UPES was good as there were placements in many big companies like Shell, ONGC, Schlumberger, Amazon and many others but now it is dipping as they have started increasing the strength here. Now there are placements in the university but the ratio has dropped down to very less due to the increasing number of applicants in the same course and the university is only famous for its chemical, gas and upstream branches which do have a good placement as compared to the other bran...
Placements: The placements are pretty good. If you have skills and you can beat others, the college will provide you with the best facilities. Companies that recruit in oil and gas sector are although less, there's always your capability that makes the difference. Schlumberger and ExxonMobil recently recruited two of our super seniors. On top of that, they gave PPOs i.e. the pre-placement offers to them. ONGC and Schlumberger are always the first priority of UPES and they never disappoint. ...
Placements: The placements, especially for our branch didn't go great. There are 5 branches of mechanical engineering with specializations, mechatronics engineering and automotive design engineering. All of the branches with an average of 80 students in each branch are sitting for common placements. Great companies come with great packages, but the competition is very high.
Placements: There had been very few placements for the last years. But internship opportunities in foreign university is very good. One of my senior got a job in General motors. Six of my classmates got internship opportunities in France. Some of the student going to France got PhD offers.
Placements: I am currently in the third year. 40% of the students got placed in my senior batch till now. The highest package offered is eight lacs per annum, and the lowest was three lacs per annum. The companies that visited to recruit were Phillips Carbon Black, Larsen & Toubro, Schlumberger, Reliance. The students were offered to work as a chemical engineer whereas most of them were offered a field job. 80% of the students were provided with the internships from the college. The highest stipend offered ...
Placements: The university gives a chance to everyone for internships, but the internships are only used to write in your CV. The placement cells are even worse, and they depend on passed year students to send the companies where they are working, and also they are least concerned about working and getting companies to campus. The highest package range from 28-30 lakhs per annum and only 3-4 people got out of 2,500 students. The minimum packages lie from 2.5 - 3.5 lakhs per annum. My branch APE GAS gets max...
Placements: The placements for my branch are above average with the highest package offered of 19 LPA. For the branches comprising computer science, the highest package goes to 10 LPA. The best branch for placements is the petroleum and upstream of which the highest package could be up to 24 LPA. The frequency of the companies coming to the campus placements depends on the performance of the last batch, and it also depends on the skill attained by the student.
Placements: Considering the market crash after the year 2015 and its effect on oil and gas industries, the placements for our senior batch were decently good, and for our batch, it is ongoing. Around 80-90% of our branch got placed with the average package of 6 LPA. MNC’s like Schlumberger, Shell India, etc. visit our campus for recruitment.
Placements: Genuinely speaking, don't opt for this college. For completing 4 years of the program in UPES, you have to spend at least 15 Lakhs. But in placements, the highest package is 6 to 8 LPA and average is about 4 LPA. Very few students opt for GATE and IES and rest get a low-quality job in IT sector with CTC of 3 to 3.5 LPA. Almost, 80 percent of the students of my senior batch got placed but the average package offered was only about 4 LPA. Core companies do not visit the college. You don't need to ...
Placements: Pretty decent compared to other private colleges. The average: 4 LPA and the highest: 18 LPA. Placements of core branches are much better. Upstream, downstream and automotive have the highest number of placements. Other branches too have decent placements. New branches in computer science have recently become very famous in the industry.
