Faculty members are good, but almost all labs except computer labs and the library need maintenance.

Placements: Most students are job candidates, so they are already placed, but 90% of regular students got placed through on-campus placement. One student got a package of INR 11 LPA through off-campus placement. The placement officer is very good; he is helpful to students. Day by day, they are improving their placement.

Dissatisfied by college placement and the worst management.

Placements: In our batch, there were 60 students from which most were lateral and approximately all lateral are doing jobs and overall percent of placed is almost 30% but after completion of course all most 90% of students are doing jobs in various small-big IT companies. In our college, most campusing are off-campus or pool campus and very few on-campus. Most campusing is done by CSE students. The highest package in our college from my batch is 4 LPA, and average 3.2 LPA and the lowest is almost 10-15k. To...

Our college is good only for marine engineering.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any help regarding placements as it invited a BPO company for recruitment. The salary offered is Rs.12,000 per month. The college also doesn't provide internship opportunities. Students occasionally have to call a strike and demand proper placement opportunities by locking the gate until midnight. The highest salary package offered in different courses was 3.25 LPA.

College was okay but it could have been better.

Placements: Placements were average during my session. Students got placements mostly in the local companies of west Bengal. Students got average salary of 2.5 Lacs per annum. Students got the roles in the field of sales, production, quality management and maintenance.

Seacom Engineering College Review.

Placements: There was no placement at all, we got jobs through off campus. Overall training and placement experience was very bad throughout. We had lots off meetings with our placement officer but in vain. There was not a single company that turned up when we were in the final year.

Not a good college for making the future.

Placements: The placements in the college are worst. The companies which come to the campus for recruitment were very low. They were providing Rs. 10k-12k only per month, and there is no TA, DA, accommodation or food. Out of 6 companies at the campusing 3 were BPO and KPO, 2 were fake, and 1 was genuine. But unfortunately, they took 4 candidates out of almost 200 or more candidates. By providing false advertisements of placements. The highest salary package was Rs. 20,000 per month. ...

Much of dissatisfied, a bit of satisfied

Placements: There was a time when Seacom Engineering College was one of the best in terms of placements, academics and activities. Companies like L&T, Ambuja Cements, TCS, CTS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and much more used to recruit from the campus directly. We had toppers who were 2nd in WBUT (200+ colleges) and toppers were given prior importance during placements. For the last few years, the college has been through many thick and thin conditions. These conditions worsened the quality of students which resu...
