Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell at Jaipuria College, Kolkata:

* Recruitment of top companies: Top companies such as TCS, HSBC, Genpact, and Ipsos recruit students from the college every year.

Our college has friendly and understanding teachers.
Placements: Top recruiting companies did not visit our campus. We had fewer opportunities in undergraduate programs than in postgraduate programs. They had greater access to the recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: Our college provided excellent infrastructure. Classrooms and libraries were good. The department had its libraries. The quality of food in the canteen was average.
Faculty: Our teachers were friendly and helpful. They understand you well. Theory could be repeated if you wanted to. The office workers help you with scholarship transfers when you need them.
Other: Economics had numerous job opportunities.

Our college is good but has no hostel facilities and it is a reputed college of Kolkata University.
Placements: Placements in our college are not very good. Almost 35% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: In our college, hostel facilities are not available. You will have to find lodging in the city near the college. Classrooms, libraries, labs, etc., are good. The quality of facilities is very good. Our college has well-lit classrooms and a large library.
Faculty: In our college, for students coming from other parts of India, language may be a barrier for them as most teachers speak Bengali but they help students in any way they can. Our teachers are well-qualified and have knowledge of their subjects. Exams are not so difficult if you have studied. You have ample time to do extra activities as the curriculum is not very hectic.
Other: I am enrolled in the B.Sc. course at this college. This is a very good course for students who want a B.Sc. degree but have an interest in economics. There are many courses in college like B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, etc.

Absolutely Satisfied, Good Infrastructure and Experience.
Placements: Jaipuria College has a decent placement scenario for B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons) students, although it is not as robust as that of any other professional courses like B.Tech, but it's decent. The college has an active placement cell that facilitates recruitment drives. A few companies which provided placement earlier are TCS, Wipro, and Infosys, providing roles such as IT support, developer, etc. The average package ranges from 2.5-3 LPA, and the highest package goes as much as 5-6 LPA. You can also pursue higher studies for better job opportunities. You can acquire additional skills and certifications and practical work experiences to stand out in the job market.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. The campus has spacious classrooms with basic teaching aids, an extremely wonderful library, and the college has its own canteen facility and also a gym. Though some facilities could be upgraded to pace up with evolving technology, overall it's a nice experience studying in this college. The college also has NCC training.
Faculty: The faculty is a blend of experienced professors and young educators, particularly in B.Sc. Computer Science. They are efficient in their subjects, very helpful, and provide every material required. The curriculum is well-structured with subjects like skill enhancement which primarily focuses on teaching additional skills to become job-ready, and the core course also has an updated syllabus and industry-required knowledge.
Other: The college is very good compared to other colleges in terms of teaching, guidance, and infrastructure; especially, the college is nice. The course specifically teaches stuff which is required in modern industries, but you have to put additional effort from your side to become job-ready. The college not only provides good education but also has fests, picnics, and other fun activities around the year. The college has scholarship facilities from the government. The location of the college is also the best; it is located just near Sovabazar metro station.

Our college has great faculty members but they can improve on giving placements.
Placements: Only 35% of the students got placed from our college. The salary offered ranges from approximately Rs. 25,000 per month to Rs. 45,000 per month. Top recruitment is done by TCS and Accenture. Around 40% of the students got internships in TCS and Accenture. Best role of a coder is offered. More jobs are offered in the computer applications category.
Infrastructure: Laboratories and the library are pretty good. Facilities are great as well. Although work could be done on the old infrastructure and the range of books available in the library. More focus can be given to the canteen as well. It needs special attention.
Faculty: Faculty members are brilliant. In terms of relevance though, it was average. The exams were standard, and the pass percentage is 30%. The exam standard could be raised to make students work harder to achieve better marks in the university examination.
Other: I opted for this course because I love the subjects. I'm very satisfied. About the social interaction part, they can improve. Fest and extracurricular activities are almost nil. That's the worst part.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science - Batch of 2018

It is a college where you will get your life.
Placements: I'm from the batch of 2015-2018. We had nearly 30 students in our computer science honors batch, and among them, 15 students were able to make it to the final year. Compared to the other colleges which have the same B.Sc. degree, our college had much better placement opportunities. Almost 60 to 70% of students got placed in different companies like TCS, Concentrix, Indigo Airlines etc. The highest package offered was 1.8 LPA by TCS. The average package offered was 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Indigo Airlines and Concentrix. Neither of the above-mentioned companies offered us any internship opportunity. The top role offered was system engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities were good enough to learn things well. The college has an AC library where you'll get ample books, and the library assistants are very helpful. The college does have Wi-Fi service, but that is not for students though one can access the internet from the library's computers and labs. The classrooms are well maintained and clean all the time. Labs in our college are in very good condition, and all the teachers and lab assistants are experienced enough. The computer science department has mainly two labs, one is hardware and the other one is software. Labs, classrooms, and library are well maintained all the time.
Faculty: The college faculty members are helpful, knowledgeable, and highly qualified. Teaching quality is top class. Teachers are very helpful to us. They are more like friends than teachers. All of them are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and well qualified such that you'll love to attend the classes and clear your doubts. As this is not like an engineering course, the course curriculum has been designed in such a way that you'll have a proper understanding of the subject and be more concentrated on concepts rather than application. Though this course doesn't make any student industry-ready, due to clear concepts and proper learning, anyone can get a good job in any industry. Semester exams were designed from moderate to advanced level so that in the final exam, no one can face any difficulties. The pass percentage was 30% during my tenure, but now, it may be 40%.
Other: Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is our pride. I am from the 2018 pass-out batch, and we have many memories from college life. Starting from freshers party followed by yearly departmental tours, Teacher's day, graduation, freshers party and farewells are celebrated in our college. You'll enjoy every bit of it. You'll enjoy campus life and also the campus surroundings.

Overall, especially for physics, our college is a very good option.
Placements: Few companies visited our college after our 3rd year for placements. About 50-100 students get a job opportunity each year. In the other subjects also, there is a similar opportunity. There is no scope for an internship. As it is a B.Sc college, so placements are not deeply available here.
Infrastructure: As I am a Physics (Hons.) student, our practical lab is fantastic with feasible lab instruments. There are 2 huge practical rooms, and the teachers are very helpful. The computer lab is fully air-conditioned with a government-sponsored computer and a good teacher.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. They inspired us in each step of life and tackled our problems personally. Their teaching quality is outstanding, especially in physics subjects.
Other: An annual sports function is conducted each year. Many other competitions like quizzes and poster presentations are also conducted here.
